Chapter Text
“I bet my time'll be faster than yours.”
Eddie looks over at Buck, who’s grinning at him from another reclining blood donation chair. “What?”
Buck nods at the Phlebotomist who’s rubbing a sterile alcohol wipe over the crook of his elbow. The 118 had volunteered for this month’s LAFD blood drive.
“I bet I can fill up that blood bag faster than you.”
“Is this another thing we need to measure, Buck?”
Buck quirks an eyebrow. “Fastest draw buys lunch after.”
Eddie smirks. “I’m worried you aren’t hydrated.”
“Worried you’ll have to pay?”
Eddie glances up at his own Phlebotomist, a short guy with two pierced ears who isn’t even pretending not to listen. He nods. “You’re on.”
