The Next Day After "Call in Dead"

=====================

  • Find your Phone

-Kovalsky picks up his his phone, on it says UNKNOWN

Jim: I know this must be a surprise. By now you should've seen the news. That man on tv is a decoy; which I'm sure you know by your last assignment at the warehouse. I faked my death to prepare a plan. One you will, but won't be interested in.

(You just summed up this entire job with you in 1 sentence)

I need to cover my tracks. That man you disposed of with the nearby megaphone? He was sent from my rival's team to sabotage my warehouse. So now it's time for payback. She's already made the 1st move by sending him, so I had one of my subordinates have a... "little" chit chat with her messenger. Which naturally cause a few arguments. You'll see a new E-mail telling more details. *Hangs up*

Kovalsky: What kind of battle are you getting me involved with Jim?

*Pets Dexter* I'm just glad you're not wrapped up in all this.

*Dexter barks*

Kovalsky makes way down to his computer and opens up his E-mail. In it are 2 new messages-

*Elena*

Hi Dad! My recovery is getting better! The doctors said I should be good within 3 more weeks! I'll miss my new friends, but they understand how much I miss you. I'll tell you all about them once I get home! Pat Dexter again for me! -Love Elena

Kovalsky smiles warmly at the message he received from his daughter. She was a lot more like her mother, nice, quiet, and all around much gentler. But she also inherited his perseverance, ability to stand up for others, and willingness to push through hard decisions from him.

He couldn't wait to see her again. Just a few more weeks.

He moved his mouse to the flagged mail.

*Big Jim*

My youngest son has been facing problems with some kids at his school. This was not just normal boy's roughhousing. It just so happens that one of his main aggressors is related to my rival. Naturally things got heated; I'm talking white-hot metal heat. We decided to talk things out at school. Luckily for both of us, it's spring break so no one will be there but you'll have to find a way in.

  • Go to the Truck

He jogs his way over.

*Sighs* It's gonna be a long night.

*Tough Lessons*

I understand that it's tough to learn that your kid's being bullied. I'd be pissed if someone told me Elena was getting picked on. How can children be so cruel? Well, I have a feeling I'll find the answer soon enough.

Bear River Middle

Kovalsky exit the truck, tools in hand, he jogs his way up to the front door.

"Locked." he mutters to himself "Gonna have to find another way inside."

Making his way to the back, he sees a large oval track, about a 1/4 of a mile. In the middle, he sees the remains of a middle schooler. Next to the body is a phone.

*Evidence #1*

(Mom)

-Text me when you get home. And no hanging out with those troublemakers! I don't want you getting caught up in something dangerous!

Kovalsky: Looks like in this case, Mother really does know best.

He picks up the boy. "He must've been held back. The dude's was tall enough to do collage basketball."

The janitor runs back to his truck, wraps him up in a body bag before chucking him into the bed.

"This is why you listen to responsible adult figures. Never know the consequences if you don't."

As he leaves the vehicle, he sees a card in the parking lot side.

"Faculty key card. Someone must've dropped it. Perfect." Kovalsky says.

Returning to where the victim's corpse was, he uses a large wall sink in the boy's locker room, squirts his Strength, Pure, and Resistance detergents; then dips his mops and sponges in the bucket, finally squeezes the excess out.

School

  • Dispose of the bodies-1/5
  • Enter the school building

Exterior-

  • Mop all blood-0->100%
  • Dispose of trash-0->100%
  • Collect evidence: 0->1/1

Kovalsky starts his normal routine of mopping up the blood before disposing of the trash. Which included the target's backpack full of half-eaten food, old homework, and a vape. Along with some cash, he found next to some... powdered sugar.

+ 100$

"What had this kid been up to?" He questioned, but decided not to ponder further.

He makes his way to the back double Doors of the school and swipes the key card.

"I'm in"

"Good. The little punk is somewhere on the upstairs floor. Along with my rival's men." Big Jim commented through Kovalsky's phone.

The  teachers break room was spotless in terms of crimes. He did manage to snag a few pieces of jewelry and a watch from the counters.

+ 50$ + 100$ +150$

The same thing couldn't be said about the 2nd floor. Blood splattered in trails that marked the path of the culprits. Broken supplies and bullet shells littered the floor.

"And this is why people are so against guns." the man thought to himself.

2nd Floor

=================

Mop all Blood: 0%

Collect trash: 0%

Obtain Evidence: 0/5

He quickly start mopping up the blood, so as to not make any additional footprints.  As he dipped his mop, he sees something on the floor.

New Evidence: Bullies Note

Your dads an awfully big chicken. And so are you!

"If they knew who his father was, none of this would've happened" Kovalsky said to himself.

After refreshing his self cleaning mop, he continues to clean up the path of blood. The trail leads him to an English class.

The room was splattered with a brown liquid. Upon getting closer, he identifies it as coffee. Mocha with whipped cream and caramel drizzle to be exact

The man tosses the large metal water bottle into the trash can. He sees the brand's logo on the front. "Stacy" he mutters. "Something I'll never understand about the next generation. Among a lot of other things."

Kovalsky makes quick work of the caffeinated drink. He also manages to snag a ring from one of the student's desks.

+100

Making his way around the halls, he encounters a messy science class. Beakers scattered the large desks, several glass shards littered the floors, and various liquids had leaked out of their containers.

The man carefully picked up the glass shards. Followed by dumping the loaded waste bags to the side. Kovalsky takes some of the beaker holders and places it on the counter near the sink. He manages to salvage a decent number of beakers and places them in the holders.

"There. No one will even know" The janitor mutters to himself.

He carefully cleans up the spilled chemicals off the tables. Luckily they were just common pantry things such as vinegar, baking soda, baking power, etc.

On the teacher's desk he picks up phone left from what seemed like an email from the teacher.

**********

Mrs. ******** we need to have a talk about your son. Several of his classmates have reported him harassing, taunting and even out right assaulting them. I have tried to work with him, but he refuses to corporate. I will discus this matter with you after Spring Break.

************

"If only they knew what they knew what they were getting themselves involved with." Kovalsky says with a long sigh.

He pulls out his phone, picks some songs to play, then moves onto the next class.

The man roams around the hall was, occasionally picking up a random piece of paper. The next room was the Foreign Studies room. A very decorated room compared to some of the others. 4 glass display cases placed in a rectangular formation in the middle for everyone to see. A Shield and bulky breastplate armor. On the left wall, was a ornately carved desk, to the right of it was a broken case for a weapon he couldn't identity. The back wall had horizontal cases contained a battle axe and a war hammer.

"Looks like a design a cosplayer would use." Kovalsky whistles.

2 of the vertical displays were shattered, their items missing,  Most likely used to cause the rampage in the other rooms.

"Looks like I'll have to find where the missing display items are." The janitor says; already having flashbacks from what he now refers to as the "Night in the Museum" incident.

  • Find the missing display items- 0/4

Kovalsky delicately picks up the glass shards, then dumps the stuffed up trash bags to the side for now. He continues to walk around the floor, once he's done, he moves up to the 3rd floor.

"This seems like were they have all of their extracurricular classes." The janitor says to himself as he reads some of the posters in the classroom windows. He enters the first door, revealing he entered a band room, chairs assembled to focus on one specific part of the room.

On one of the chairs lied the remains of a student. Blood dripped from the top of their head to their instrument case. It didn't take a forensic investigator to figure out what happened. The drum set behind them had many of its drums dented, and ripped to uselessness.

"Talk about getting told to beat it." The janitor half joked as he hauled the deceased back to the truck.

"I'm sorry about this. At least you died doing what you loved." Kovalsky whispered. He never got used to this job no matter how many times he did it. This experience only made it worse by being at a school; reminding him of Elena.

"I promised to help you get better; I just wished it didn't require unsolved cases." The exhausted janitor thought to himself.

Running back to the band room, Kovalsky neatly puts the scattered chairs into stacks along the wall connected to the exit.

He opens up a storage closet filled with music books and spare wind instruments. One of them was not like the others.

Display Case Item 1- Medieval Sword

"I don't think this can be played." The janitor sarcastically muttered as he carried the blade back to its original location.

The man jogs to the next room, this time an Art class. Colorful posters showing elements of art were plastered all over the wall, even the ceiling. A collapsed art easel was sprawled at the front of the room. Next to it was a body.

Female, about 16, pale skin, auburn hair. Her entire midsection area was a mess of blood. The splatters showed she had been stabbed repeatedly in the same area with a thin sharp object. Most likely an Exacto knife.

He was getting too good at this. Maybe he should've gotten a job to clean crimes for the government. Or found a way to become a forensics investigator.

Kovalsky perished the thought immediately. There was no way he would be able to handle that kind of mental strain on a regular basis. If THIS job was anything to go by.

Shaking his thoughts away, the man picked up the body gently to his truck, then carefully putting it in a body bag.

"In this case the red does not mean "I love you." And definately not tasting it." The janitor shudders.

Disturbing songs aside, he sprints back to clean the rest of the mess.

Refreshing his mop, he gets to work on the fairly large blood splatters the body left. Conjuring his sponges looking back at him, Kovalsky gently cleans the dark red splatters on some of the canvases.

"Sometimes you don't need a splash of color. Especially one that turns into this." The janitor whispered to himself as he removed the last stain.
