The void is receding (come back, come back, please!) and there are shapes in front of his eyes now, but—lines don’t bend that way. Do they? Another breath. He feels bad. Where is the Symbol? This should make sense. He should remember—but what is there to remember? Because nothing else matters, not really, not—
“Thiago, look at me.”
Warmth on his cheek, a push, and his head is being turned.
“Hey.”
He… He doesn’t know what he’s looking at.

Or, in which Thiago survives Santo Berço, but he does not escape the Symbol. Many months later, as the Symbol is pulling apart what remains of his mind, Thiago follows Liz to the New Dawn Apartments in the hopes of saving her from herself.
