Work Text:
Tobirama stares straight ahead, carefully avoiding the eyes of the Uchiha all around him.
Not for the reasons he used to, of course, he's certainly not in danger from a genjutsu now, but it's simply far too awkward to see the blatant hunger in those gazes.
Really, if it had been up to him, he'd have organised a single mass wedding and gotten it over with, ending what Izuna assures him has been years of pining with a single stroke. However, everyone insisted that the two clan heads should be the first to marry instead, meaning that everyone else has had to wait.
And very uncomfortable waiting it's been too.
Sometimes Tobirama suspects he will never understand how people can act against their own self interest, or maybe he just doesn't want to. Even now, he can't believe he's had to arrange his own father's marriage. It feels wrong, as if he's going against the natural order of things, but Anija kept getting distracted and the Elders were being stubborn and...
Well.
At least they're almost done.
And - looking at the way Tajima-sama is clutching otousan's hand, refusing to let go, not even to drink from the sakazuki - Tobirama knows he would rather deal with the Elders a hundred times over than get into the middle of that.
Yes, otousan can manage his wedding night on his own.
After all, he did it the first time.
