So when the Mingle game struck, Choi Su-bong immediately took you by the arm rather harshly that you thought he had scarred your wrist. (You thought, "he needs to relax because you weren't going anywhere.") No one noticed his extensive overprotectiveness, not primarily because the lights were weirdly flashing purple and other colors; it reminded you of his hair and that you were safe. He was hypercharged because of the drugs in his system; there were still its effects clinging on to him, and since you begged him to stop, he did. He gave the locket to Nam-gyu, who also appeared quite jealous of you because he would often lay a hand on his shoulders and rub Su-bong's arms. You didn't get jealous, though, not especially since Nam-gyu and Su-bong were quickly close friends, too (or was Nam-gyu gay?)
Proceeding into the rounds, Su-bong would pull you into the rooms, ensuring your safety, and then get the rest of his gang along. In the last round, it was by twos, and Nam-gyu was rather upset to have gone with the wimpy Min-su, but you were happy because Su-bong prioritized you. Then, the rest would follow suit: Nam-gyu with Min-su and Se-mi with Gyeong-su. That guaranteed safety, and you all proceeded to the next round.
Time passed by, and the Mingle game ended. Su-bong was rather displeased upon discovering that there were still hundreds left within the game but swore to keep you safe. He then went to the bathroom, and you told him to be quick because you were waiting for him and for something you didn't know. All you wanted was that you were beside him, and he was beside you.
It took him ages to come back, and you felt worried. "It was probably just the eerie atmosphere of the dorm," you would reassure yourself. Yet your gut had a tinge of unsettlement, so you headed to the bathroom. Remembering that he would've been in the men's bathroom, you couldn't care less. "I need to know Su-bong is safe," you would frantically ask the guards. When they wouldn't let you in, you barged into the bathroom, hitching a breath, and a wave of embarrassment shrouded you as dozens of male eyes gazed upon you, the start of a brawl waiting to happen. You quickly spotted your sweetheart amidst the crowd, leading the side of the O's. He looked defeated at the sight of you because he was about to kick Myung-gi's ass, and you interfered. "Wrong restroom, lady!" The men laughed in unison, and you curved your lips upward into a tender-hearted smile, but it faded once you saw a silver rod glimmering in Myung-gi's hand, nestled in his pocket. Then you knew you were in danger. You tried to keep up with the smiles, and the men seemingly forgot the fight that was about to happen, patting you on the shoulder as they headed out individually. Then you eyed Myung-gi, whom you shot a nasty look. He looked pretty fair, and you heard about his girl, but plotting to kill your beloved was no way you'd ever trust him again.
"I was about to kick that mufuckin' dude's ass, but you had to come in!" He was visibly annoyed at your interference, but upon seeing the guilty look on your face and the contrasting 'pissed-off' glimmer in your eyes, he immediately apologized and hugged you. "That MG Coin bitch was plotting to kill you," you scoffed, and he ended up regretting being mad in the first place. "What do you mean, kill me?" He eyed you, eyebrows raising with suspicion. He held your hand, his head dipping low, like a child caught red-handed, bracing for a scolding they knew they deserved. "Were you trying to pick fights again?" Su-bong looked around comically as if wary of others hearing his response. "Yes," he whispered mischievously and chuckled a deep laugh that you wish he could do all day. He brought you to his side and held him close to you, thanking you for saving his life. You then realized why they put the fork in the 김밥 and couldn't resist imagining how your darling could die from a fork. (You told him, "That'd be such an unfortunate way to die, " to which he would reply, "You missing me saved my life, " then you two would giggle like such lovebirds that the rest of your gang were so pissed off. Especially Se-mi, who you would ship with Min-Su.)
15 :MINUTES UNTIL LIGHTS OUT--------------------------------------------------------------------
Choi Su-bong, your beautiful Thanos god adorned with painted nails like the infinity stones, strutted towards your beds beside each other. He shot a look at Myung-gi, who almost tried to kill him (what his señorita said), and headed straight for her, dismissing anything else that might've come his way. Just then, lights out was in order, and the relatively quiet hum of the mysterious noise in your brain echoed throughout the spacious dormitory until, after just a few minutes, tons of men's snores could be heard, and the dorm was just a flurry of unsynchronized snores failing to harmonize a tune. Unable to sleep, Su-bong wanted to scream right then, but he thought it would be better to sneak into your bed (the creaking sounds were telltale) and hug you from behind.
And now, there you were, cuddled in the arms of the mighty Thanos the rapper, the invisible scars of kisses marking your neck and cheeks, the spots where he placed his lips and kissed you with fervor.
Choi Su-bong is a very kindhearted, innocent man, even if he looks mysterious, always wearing full-coverage clothes and never revealing an inch of skin. He wants to be called a baby or sweetheart and have a relationship like an innocent child. He doesn't like those messy 18+ times with your lover, thinks it's weird and off-putting, and enjoys spending time with his beloved by sitting next to them, having a hand in the other, or a head on the other's shoulders.
At that moment, a calm, steady, warm breath grazed your ears and shoulders among the chorus of off-sync snores. Su-bong's warm breath was so comforting that you wished this moment would last forever. He held you closer to him, snuggling up with you. The fresh scent of the bath soap stuck on his skin was like an aura of baby powder and everything nice. He was sensitive to touch and would flinch if someone put their hands on him. (In Nam-gyu's case, he eventually got used to it, but the former's little sweater paws didn't feel too harsh on Su-bong's zipped-up jacket.) As a result, you were shocked when he willingly approached you and started hugging you from the back. You found this cute and used this as an opportunity to tease him a little.
"Su-bong..." you whispered, your voice a mix of surprise and warmth. "Mhm?" he mumbled, his voice still thick with sleepiness yet soft with affection. He buried his face into your shoulder, taking a deep breath. "You okay?"
"You're so cute when you're clingy. I didn't know you were like this..." you replied, feeling the comforting rhythm of his breathing against your skin.
Su-bong's cheeks burned. Thank goodness the lights were off, or you would've seen him go red. You turned around to face him, reciprocating his hug, your foreheads touching. In an attempt to stop him from exploding right then and there, he whispered, "The people in here are so damn loud..." You gave a little giggle and nodded in approval, clutching him tighter. You nestled into his chest, feeling the comforting rhythm of his heartbeat against yours. The warmth enveloping you both felt like a steady, calming pulse in the midst of the chaotic world around you.
"Stay with me tonight?" you asked, your voice barely audible over the sounds of soft snoring nearby.
"Always," he replied, his fingers delicately tracing circles on your back as he held you closer. "You don't even have to ask. I'll always be right here with you."
A serene silence settled around you, broken only by the soft sound of his breath and the distant echoes of the dorm's lively chaos. It was perfect. Safe. Warm. Just you and him, wrapped in those cherished quiet moments that stretched into eternity.
"I love you, Y/N," he whispered softly, his words just a breath against your skin. But you had already drifted into a peaceful sleep, unaware. With a tender smile, he gently kissed your cheek before settling into his own restful slumber, his heart at ease knowing you were right beside him.
