Chapter Text
Nam-gyu groaned as he sat up, his head pounding. He rubbed the back if his head, wincing as he did so.
It's cold. Why is it so cold?
Nam-gyu looked down before screaming. He was in the middle of some random road, in nothing but his underwear.
What the fuck.
He looked around, noticing he was with three other people, all he recognised.
Se-mi, Min-su and Gyeong-su.
A part of him wondered if he should look around for thanos, but remembering their last moments together, he decided not to. There was no point trying with that man.
Nam-gyu quickly scrambled over to Se-mi, shaking her shoulder in an attempt to wake her up. After a few seconds, her eyes slowly fluttering open, before she sat up.
"Fuck..." She muttered under her breath, "My head fucking hurts."
"I think that's the last thing we have to worry about right now." Nam-gyu said, before gesturing down to the both of them.
Se-mi yelp, before quickly moving her hands to cover her body.
"What the fuck is going on?!?"
Nam-gyu sighed, "I don't fucking know. I just woke up aswell."
He stared at Se-mi for a second, noticing the discomfort on her face, before speaking up.
"You don't have to try and cover yourself around me. I'm not into woman."
Se-mi was hesitant at first, but she slowly relaxed her body, before nodding.
"We need to figure out where we are." She looked around, before pointing at the others. "You should go wake them, they can help."
Nam-gyu nodded, agreeing with her before making his way to the others, waking them both up, and attempting to calm them down once they realised what kind of situation they were in.
"Ok boys. Get up, we need to go find somewhere that tells us where we are. And also get some clothes. I'm fucking freezing right now."
Min-su nodded, turned away from Se-mi to hide the blush creeping onto his face.
Gyeong-su however stared at her, eyes open wide and mouth hung open. This received a slap round the face from Nam-gyu.
-----1 week since the games-----
Se-mi lifted a rock up, grabbing a key out from under it, and using it to unlock the door infront of her, before walking in. The four men following after her.
"I would say make yourself at home, but I really don't want you guys staying here."
Nam-gyu rolled his eyes as Min-su laughed awkwardly at Se-mi's statement.
"Thanks so much for letting us stay here Se-mi, seriously dude, it means ALOT."
Gyeong-su spoke with a large smile on his face, which on made Se-mi turn away in an attempt to hide the smile growing on her own face.
"Yeah, whatever, it's fine. That's what friends do I guess.", She walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle lf water out the fridge. "Gyeong-su, you get the spare room, Nam-gyu you get the couch."
"Seriously?!?" Nam-gyu shouted, brows furrowed.
"I could just kick you out on the streets you know."
That shut him up.
"Uhm.. What about me?" Min-su spoke in his usual timid tone, while avoiding eye contact.
Se-mi simply shrugged, "You're sharing with me."
Min-su's face went bright red has his eyes widened out of shock. Before he nodded.
Gyeong-su grinned as he nudged Min-su with his shoulder.
"Why to go!"
-----2 Months Since The Games-----
"Fuck! Nam-gyu! Fucking let me in!"
Se-mi slammed her body against the bathroom door, forcing it open, before staring down at the image infront of her.
Nam-gyu layed in the floor in his own vomit, arm draped over his eyes. Needled littered the floor around him as he chest moved up and down quickly.
"Nam-Gyu, oh my god!"
She quickly knelt down next to him, lifted up his body and incased him in a hug. It took a few minutes, but Nam-gyu slowly lifted his arms and wrapped them around Se-mi.
And then he finally broke. He started sobbing, tears streaming down his cheeks as he tugged her tighter.
And he just cried and cried. And Se-mi let him.
The next day, Se-mi dropped him off at rehab. She hadn't forced him to. He decided to do this own his own.
He wanted to be better, he wanted to forget who he once was, and everyone who he once knew.
-----6 Months Since The Games-----
Nam-gyu let out a breath as he dropped the placed the last box into his new apartment, before turning to face Se-mi and Min-su.
"Seriously, guys, thanks alot." He smiled, rubbing the back of his neck with the palm of his hand.
Se-mi placed a hand on Nam-gyu's shoulder as she nodded. "No problem, I'm just glad I could finally get rid of you two."
Nam-gyu rolled his eyes, shrugging Se-mi's hand off his shoulder as she laughed.
"How about I treat you guys to dinner as a thank you?"
Min-su smiled, before shaking his head. "Thanks for the offer, but we're having dinner with my parents tonight."
Nam-gyu nodded in agreement, "Still though, the offer is always open."
The two waved as they walked out the door, leaving Nam-gyu alone.
This was until a pair of arms wrapped around his waist, as a voice whispered in his ear.
"So, I guess we're finally alone?"
A large, childish grin grew in Nam-gyu's face as he turned around, wrapping his arms around Gyeong-su neck as he nodded.
"I like your hair short." He lifted a hand up to tuck the shirt piece of hair behind Nam-gyus ear, but due to the new length, it just fell right back to where it was before.
Nam-gyu pulled the other man closer to him, his mouth right next to Gyeong-su's ear.
"So, what do you wanna do now that we're alone?"
Gyeong-su smirked before letting go of Nam-gyu's waist, grabbing hold of his hand instead, dragging him to their bedroom.
-----1 Year Since The Games-----
SNIP
"You know, I really do think shorter hair suits you."
Nam-gyu let out a small laugh. "I know you do Min-su. You say it every time you cut my hair."
"Because I mean it! "
SNIP
"Thanks. I prefer it aswell." Nam-gyu stared at himself in the mirror as Min-su chopped away at his hair.
He had been cutting it short for almost 8 months now. Ever since rehab. He had also been wearing his glasses full time, ditching the contacts. He looked completely different then how he did a year ago. And he felt different too.
He wasn't some junkie who would do anything for some heroine. He has matured.
Yeah, sometimes he still had urges to go back to his old ways. High in clubs, making out with strangers. He lived like that for years of his lifes. He would be lying if he said he didn't miss that life.
But his new life is better for him.
He is a co-owner of a club, founded by a child hood friend who was aware of his background as a club promoter. Knowing that Nam-gyu knew how it worked, he decided he was the best option.
Him and Gyeong-su had broken up around a month ago, but it didn't harm their relationship at all. They were still friends and roomates.
Se-mi and Min-su however were engaged, their wedding next June.
Sure, it wasn't the life he once lived. But it was the life he got. And when he was younger, he never thought he would be lucky enough to get a life like this.
"Hey, Min-su."
SNIP
"Hmm?
SNIP
"Do you ever..."
SNIP
"Miss Thanos?"
Silence.
Min-su was frozen in place. Nam-gyu could see the discomfort on Min-su face in the mirror.
After a couple moments of silence, Min-su finally spoke as he placed the scissors down on the bathroom counter.
"Not really. Do you?"
Nam-gyu sighed.
"I.. I think? Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if he woke up in that riad with us. Or if we never got into that fight."
He looked up, staring at himself in the mirror.
"Would I still be me? Would I still be able ti get the life i have today?"
Min-su nodded as he sat down on the bathroom counter.
"Well, he isn't here. And you are. You're here, and you're happy and you're healthy." He took Nam-gyu's hands into his own. "I don't even wanna imagine where you would be if he was still here."
Nam-gyu sighed, before nodding weakly. "You're right. This is better."
Nam-gyu was happy. Atleast, nearly happy.
-----2 Years After The Games-----
"Are you kidding me?" Nam-gyu stared at the man in front of him. A disappointed look in his face.
"I'm sorry sir." The (ex) bartender of the club bowed before walking away.
Nam-gyu groaned, throwing his head back as he ran his fingers through his hair. Sure, he had other bartenders, but he needed all of the for next Friday. A famous celebrity had booked the club for some party, and the Nam-gyu needed as much help as possible. And their most talented bartender, had just left.
How was he supposed to find a new bartender with his skill in a week? Here's the answer, he couldn't.
He sat back up, before typing at his computer, putting in their website that they were hiring.
Once he had done that, he stood uo and grabbed his bag, and walked out for lunch.
He was supposed to meet up with Gyeong-su. Quickly sending a text to tell him he was on his way.
gyeong-su: Sorry Nam-gyu, gotta cancel today, Love ya still <33

Nam-gyu sighed as he stared at the image. A photo of Gyeong-su, and the bitch that sent Nam-gyu into debt.
He was happy that Gyeong-su was happy, but seriously, what did he see in that guy.
Oh well. He doesn't have to worry about that now. He has to worry about lunch.
He find his way to a convince store, buying himself a drink and a cup of ramen. Using the warm water supplied to cook them.
He took a set by the window, opening his drink and taking sip as he waiting for his noodles fully cook.
He pulled his phone out of his pocket, scrolling, until he comes across an article.
FAMOUS RAPPER "THANOS" SPOTTED AFTER TWO YEARS OF HIDING.
Nam-gyu rolled his eyes as he scrolled past the article. Pretending that he wasn't interested at all.
Nam-gyu sat at his desk, paying close attention to the paper work infront of him. Sorting out bills and loans.
"Alright Nam-gyu, you sure you can do the interviews by yourself?"
Nam-gyu nodded, sending the co owner away, before going back to the paper work he was doing.
He heard the door open as someone else walked in, probably for the interview.
"Take a seat."
The mystery person did as they were told, sitting in the sit situated infront of Nam-gyu's desk
"Welcome to-" Nam-gyu looked up before freezing. Mouth open wide with shock.
"THANOS?"
