“Well, don't just stand there! Do something!”
Levi sighs, succeeding in not giving into the temptation of rubbing his temples. Ace, though he was sure he wasn't intending to, was hurting his head, “There isn't anything else we can do.”
Ace paced anxiously in the small box, waving his arms around. Levi was worried he'd hit something and hurt himself in the process. Suddenly, he sat down, blowing harshly through his mouth.
“This is stupid. Fucking stupid. Why the fuck did the elevator break?! Ugghh, It's–”
“–Stupid, I know,” Levi finished. He examines the buttons on the elevator with narrowed eyes. He did what he was supposed to; in fact, the emergency call button had been pressed within the first minute the doors wouldn't open. “Maybe you pressed the button too many times.”
“Hey! Don't put this all on me, asshole! I bet you did this.”
Levi glanced at the shorter over his shoulder, calm, “How?”
Ace opened his mouth to give an answer, paused, then closed it, “What-fucking-ever.”
With an exaggerated groan, Ace slumps against the elevator wall and slides down until he's in a seated position with his knees to his chest. After a moment, Levi sits beside him, looking defeated, “...So. How is your day?”
Ace gives him a look. He shakes his head.
“Sorry.”
“Ugh, it's fine. I guess I…”
