Chapter Text

Shockwave had asked Soundwave if he could borrow his cassettes ever since the ‘Rumble and Frenzy bite Megatron’s ankles and Soundwave does nothing’ incident. agreed as long as Shockwave didn’t use them for any dangerous intent. Shockwave took Rumble and Frenzy into his lab and put them in a makeshift playpen, dropped a thick and long string of rope and instructed them to do whatever they want with it. The instant he told them that they immediately grabbed both ends of the rope with their mouth and tried to pull it away from the other, growling madly at their attempts. Shockwave jostled down notes like no tomorrow as he tried to understand what the growling could possibly mean. Meanwhile, Rumble and Frenzy shouted mumbled swears at one another, trying to tempt the other into dropping the rope. Shockwave concluded that the growls must be a way of intimidation for the other to let go. As he continued to take notes, Rumble and Frenzy's battle turned violent as one another violently slammed against the playpen neither one giving up on the rope. Eventually the rope ripped in half from the rough tug-of-war game and the two cassettes just sat there not knowing what to do. Shockwave concluded the test and moved on to the next one in which he threw a pair of frisbees into the playpen.

Chapter Text

The two cassettes looked at the frisbees curiously, waiting for Shockwave to tell them what to do. Two robotic arms came up from the ceiling (pretend that they were just there) grabbed the frisbees and threw them in opposite directions, Frenzy performed an impressive barrel roll while also catching the frisbee midair while Rumble got thrown back when he caught the frisbee in his mouth. Frenzy landed on all fours and shouted at his brother while the frisbee was still in his mouth,
“Canm rou do thaw Rumbbl?!” Shockwave hurriedly wrote down about Frenzy’s performance and the words he shouted, intrigued about how they seemed to be insulting (mans a dumbass sometimes). Shockwave instructed one of the arms to take Rumble’s frisbee away which caused a small tug-of-war battle to take place, surprisingly Rumble proved to be incredibly strong and nearly took the arm right off but the arm did win at the end and he whined at the loss. Frenzy ran on all fours towards Shockwave and gave the frisbee back to him. Shockwave grabbed the frisbee and threw it which caused Rumble and Frenzy to chase after it. The two cassettes caught it at the same time and started to have a little fight over the frisbee while simultaneously trotting towards Shockwave. Eventually, they got to Shockwave and the whole thing repeated for a few joors (hours) until Frenzy and Rumble froze while chasing after the frisbee and began to sniff around, whimpering and silently barking the entire time. They bolt towards a part of the playpen and begin to jump in place while barking at Shockwaves control center. Shockwave stops writing for a moment and looks to his control center to see a few tiny energon rations still there, he takes notes on this and decides to conduct an experiment on how far they can track a scent.

Shockwave carefully took the cassettes out of the playpen and had put them of leashes as a few moments ago he put energon cubes very far away from his lab, the instant that the two sniffed out the cube both were BOLTING towards the scent with Shockwave nearly doubling over and having to slide on the floor with his pedes. While Rumble seemed to be intensely focused on the scent, Frenzy did quick jumps in other directions sniffing out other scents. While this was happening, Shockwave was getting manhandled in the back, constantly flipping over and getting dragged on the floor while also nearly crashing into the wall by Frenzy’s constant jumps in other direction. Rumble kept nipping at his brother to get him to pay attention to the goal to get to the energon and often yanking at his brother's leash by the mouth to get him back in line. Soundwave exited the meeting room and saw that his children were dragging the scientist, takes a picture while his children are smiling and waving at him and instantly nopes out as soon as he can’t see his children anymore. While quickly getting toward the location of where the energon was, Rumble and Frenzy started to bite excitedly at their leashes, unknowingly ripping off the leashes and Shockwave getting dropped into the abyss. They reached the energon and excitedly turned around to show Shockwave only to see that Shockwave had disappeared and was landing on the ground with the Peter Griffin death pose. They rushed over to Shockwave with the energon in Rumble’s mouth (cuz Frenzy would eat it, no doubt) and looked around Shockwave while yipping and barking at him. Shockwave got up, petted them on the helms and told them to eat the energon. The cassettes happily ate the small cube of energon while fighting over who gets the bigger piece while Shockwave watched them he remembered that he saw that Frenzy easily ate through the metal rods and decided to see just what they could eat through.

Chapter Text

Shockwave took the cassettes towards his lab and presented them with a gigantic metal rod before he could say anything; they instantly bite and clawed at the rod. They easily were taking apart the rod with their denta and not leaving a single piece untouched. When they were finished the rod was cleanly chewed off with Rumble and Frenzy sitting on all fours to the side, proud smiles on their faces. 

“Alright, now after all of that is done, I want you two to infiltrate the Autobot base with your skills,” Shockwave instructed. As Shockwave finished putting small, unidentifiable tracking devices on them he sent them on their way and the both of them ran towards the Ark. They sneaked their way inside by chewing their way into the vents and managed to crawl their way into one of the rooms in the ark. However, one certain yellow beetle came into the room at the same time as the cassettes dropped down into the room. Instead of panicking as Frenzy thought, the minibot simply ex-vented and went towards Rumble and scratched the side of his helm. Rumble purred and leaned the touch of Bumblebee’s servo and leaned his entire frame on Bumblebee’s chassis. Bumblebee wrapped his other arm around Rumble and smoothed his back plates and Rumble continued to purr like no tomorrow. Frenzy looked at his brother and the beetle with confusion and slight awkwardness, not sure of what to do. Eventually, the purple cassette and the beetle broke apart and went their separate ways but not before a little kiss on each other's intake. Frenzy and Rumble stared at each other for a couple of seconds before continuing on with their mission. They managed to chew apart nearly everything in the breakroom and when they heard the others coming, they made their escape like the way they came. Frenzy didn’t say a word of what happened with his brother and the beetle when they got back. Rumble asked Frenzy to meet him outside in a secluded area of the base and said,

”Please don’t tell the others of what happened, I love him Frenzy!” Frenzy assured his brother that he would never tell the others and Rumble seemed very happy at this. That, however, didn’t stop Frenzy from using it as blackmail for later.
