That’s rough buddy

Summary:

Wednesday couldn’t believe her eyes. She didn’t understand what in the seven rings of hell was going on in her heart. She had only snuck out to spy on what Enid had snuck out for. She didn’t expect to see her bubbly wolf meeting up with some hooded figure behind the greenhouse. Much less for them to share such a…passionate embrace.

What could've led to this?

Notes:

Chat this is lowkey kinda ooc, so please don’t hate 😞 I tried my best

Chapter Text

Wednesday couldn’t believe her eyes. She didn’t understand what in the seven rings of hell was going on in her heart. She had only snuck out to spy on what Enid had snuck out for. She didn’t expect to see her bubbly wolf meeting up with some hooded figure behind the greenhouse. Much less for them to share such a…passionate embrace.

What could've led to this?

A few nights earlier…

“Where are you going?”

Enid didn’t acknowledge the girl’s question, simply continuing to put on her shoes. She couldn’t stand being in the dorm for another second, her heart wouldn’t be able to take it. Being in the same room as her crush/bestie/literal soulmate was wearing her thin, and she needed to go to the one place she knew Wednesday didn’t know about. Just as she stood up to leave, Wednesday spoke.

“Enid. Where are you going in…such a hurry?” The Addams girl was curious, the wolf didn’t say she had anywhere to be, even more so when that vampire was busy with her girlfriend.

“Just, uhh, going out to Jericho for a few things. I’ll be back sometime later.” Enid replied, hurriedly making her way to the door but the other continued.

“Most of the shops in Jericho are closed by now, including your favorites.”

“Not all of them! I have to go like now before it closes. I’ll see you later!” With that Enid makes her escape leaving her roommate quite confused.

Enid carefully makes her way through the halls, reaching the gate and jumping over. As she glances up, she can see Wednesday staring down at her before she turns and runs to Jericho.

….

A young girl sits on a stool hunched over the cashier and her phone. Scrolling through the only social media she dares to have, she sighs in boredom even as her favorite songs play throughout the store. The music shop she currently resides in is a quaint little store that sells records, cassettes, merch, posters, etc. of almost every music genre. Anime merchandise even has its little corner. It had its fair share of customers throughout its days, but there were days like these where almost no one came.

The door jingles, signifying that someone has entered, and may be a potential customer. But the cashier knows hardly anyone comes to this store at this time, especially sounding out of breath as if they were running here. So the cashier simply smirks as a blonde head slumps on the counter groaning.

“Still out of shape, I see,” The cashier said, scoffing as the blonde tried head-butting them in the chin, narrowly missing.

“Still a bitchless I see,” Enid replied, her face showing the playfulness of the situation

The cashier smirks once more before pointing at two pins on their name tag, with almost the same color scheme except one had a line of green and the other purple.

“As I intended, I’ll have you know.” The worker smugly states, the blonde rolling her eyes before sighing:

“I just don’t know what to do, Luna! She's just so! So…so her!”

The worker, Luna, rolled her dark brown eyes, before standing up. The girl started to take off her sweater, draping it over the wolf's back.

“I’m assuming this is about that infamous roommate of yours?” Luna asked, going about the store and making sure the lights and certain places were turned off for the night. The blonde groaned, taking the cashier seat, and following the movement of the brunette worker as they went about their nightly duties.

“Ugh, yes! Just being in the same room with her is driving my wolf insane. I can’t even go a day without thinking that she’ll never like me back.”

Luna hummed in understanding, finishing cleaning up and making sure everything was in place for the next day, taking out the keys she stood in front of the blond once more. Placing a hand on the werewolf’s shoulder they spoke.

“Listen, you’ve been gushing and angsting over your roommate for like what, half a year now? And nothings changed! I know that’s hard to accept but I’m not gonna let you spend your life wasting away in heartbreak.”

“Then tell me, what should I do to just get over her?” Enid begged, eyes becoming glassy

Luna furrowed their eyebrows, a frown forming on their face but it quickly changed when she remembered something. Looking straight at the eyes of the blond they told her the plan.

“Look, there’s this party a bunch of normies invited me out to. It’s nothing big, just a house party. I wasn’t gonna go cause Ew people but check this out, I heard there’s a lot of normies who’d want to hit up outcasts. Crazy shit I know, but this could be your chance at getting over this girl!”

Enid scrunched her face at the fact that the party would be filled with normies, but she didn’t see anything wrong with it considering that the normies in Jericho have been calmer with outcasts as of late.

“Fine, but if I don’t like it and don’t find anyone, we’re leaving.” Enid agreed, pointing her finger at the other, who only chuckled and compiled.

Once Luna fully closes the shop and brings down the chained gate, the two take a small stroll before reaching the hill up to Nevermore. They chat as they hike up the trail, both informing the other about their lives or interests. Before reaching the gate Luna smiles at Enid, bids the girl goodbye, and leaves. Enid scales the gate once more and quickly tries to reach her dorm without getting caught. Once she reached the dorm, she entered thinking Wednesday was out on her late-night adventures.

“Who was that?”
