All In a Days Work

Summary:

Stina's boyfriend is a superhero but not in the normal way firefighters are, her boyfriend is an actual superhero. But his greatest feat isn't how hard he can punch villains or stop robberies, it's coming home to her.

Work Text:

Stina Heks never considered herself a normal girl, not when she started to outgrow her entire fourth grade class, not when middle school rolled around and the playground was full of who can’t taunt and harass the people around them best, not when high school elevated those shitty ideals onto a pedestal made of ass kissers and backstabbers where she stood on top.

The prettiest, the bitchiest, and the worst of all girls in Midtown High.

She was never sure if it was her long legs the boys drooled over or the shitty ‘take no prisoners’ attitude that had the girls wished to be her or wishing to slay her but it was like her word was law as soon as she stepped into the hallways, people parted the middle for her to walk, lesser nerds she was supposed to eat for lunch stuffed themselves into their own lockers to save her the trouble.

Stina hated every second of it all.

Her friend group was a squadron of girls people claimed they had a tie to royalty which had earned them a seat in Stina’s court which was honestly nothing more than a lunch table haunted by BO wheezing jocks and so call ‘status quo breakers’ occasionally trying to start their own teen dream movies.

But Tam and Linh weren’t secretly the illegitimate children of a famous Japanese movie star that disappeared in the late 80s, for one thing they were Filipino and their mom owned an art studio. Marella’s mom wasn’t a world class gossip columnist that kept her identity anonymous to make sure her daughter lived a normal life, Marella’s dad worked at the local bank and her mother mostly stayed at home and published small poetry books. Maruca’s mom was a pretty big lawyer and her most notable tie had been with the Vacker family but what was another time, another life.

The best part about living, she supposed, were the choices you could never undo. Sure they were haunting and sometimes you could ruin your whole life with a split second decision but there were things Stina had done and could never undo that brought her to this point in her life. A high school queen with the best boyfriend in the world.

She missed Jensi but there wasn’t a whole lot Stina could do about it, as much as she wanted to call him and demand he come over she only ruled a stupid high school that wouldn’t matter to anyone in a year. New York had no master and too much danger that needed Jensi to stop it all from crumbling down, holding the city together one web at a time.

It felt like so long ago that their school had taken that field trip, Stina had gone because her parents had insisted it could be fun and while it was admittingly fascinating Stina had been distracted at the time. Jensi was always a very social guy but he never had a solid group of friends to talk with and Stina will admit she was one of the many who hardly ever noticed the rambly, bubbly boy. Until one day she just sort of spoke to him.

Stina had been talking with her mother the day before about how Jensi was treated unfairly like an outsider when he was nothing but friendly and kind, talkative yes but so was every other kid in school. With a small nudge from her mom, Stina worked up the nerve to walk right up to Jensi and tell him he was sitting at her table for lunch.

It was such a stupid thing to do, coming right up to him and declaring he was sitting with her. The cliche made her cringe at night sometimes when her mind was too awake to let her sleep.

But Jensi had tagged along and sat at her table, needing a bit of prodding until he opened up and the rest was history and Stina’s dignity was something of the long forgotten past.

Jensi was endearing and sweet, he had a dimpled smile and eyes that always shined. Stina liked to listen to his chatter no matter how extensive, he always had something to say, some tiny detail he had managed to notice in a world where people only noticed themselves. She adored his laugh and the way he styled his messy hair into that fluffy updo.

That field trip had just been another day of much of the same, Stina standing near the front of the displays and experiments with Jensi losing his spot beside her and hanging near the back of the group until Stina herself turned and brought him back to her side. She still remembered the way his face lit up and that warm tingle in her chest, he was so sweet that something as minimal as helping him see the arachnid experiments could make him smile so brightly at her. She wanted to take the camera he had around his neck and take a picture to show him that he was handsome in his own way, that he didn’t need the letterman jackets or leather spiked belts to be considered good looking, he just had to be himself.

As their group moved along Stina stayed with Jensi as long as she could before Marella told her to catch up, Jensi told her it was fine to go ahead without him as Stina sighed and bumped her arm against his.

“Don’t stay too far behind, I don’t want you to get in trouble okay tiger?”

He had given her his word he’d be right behind her and Stina followed Marella’s demands to hurry it up. Jensi had told her that he had been so distracted admiring her that he never noticed the spider that crawled onto his jacket until it bit him on the neck.

God she wished she could bite him.

Someone send her to a hospital. Her brain is clearly in desperate need of a reboot.

It wasn’t fair having Spider-Man as a boyfriend! He saved the city over and over again, looked amazing while doing it, could swing right into her bedroom window whenever he wanted and yet she still had to wait until the latest villain of the week stopped raging! It was such bullshit!

Okay, yeah, sure, Stina got to pamper Jensi as soon as he touched down on her bedroom and spoil him in the way he deserved to be spoiled but the waiting was killing her!

And so Stina decided it was time to prepare for whenever Jensi dropped by today. She hardly admitted it to herself but she liked getting to be the one he came back to everyday after every fight. She was the one and only person who was allowed to hold him when he was vulnerable, kiss his cheek and clean any wounds. She had a spare spider suit in her room incase he ever needed it as well as some totally not stolen and legally given boyfriend clothes he could swap out to.

Having spider powers and running around saving New York built up quite the appetite so Stina decided her first task after tidying up her bed was to make a snack that could be kept in the fridge, then she’d hop into the shower, freshen up, study, and as soon as Jensi swung by he was hers.

Unless he didn’t want that today which was perfectly fine, it was up to him after all. Saving New York could be tiring, sometimes Stina got worn out just from watching the news coverage of his latest battles.

Focus girl, snack time.

-

It wasn’t anything fancy, a few diced apples with a sweet but spicy sauce to dip it in, some bread that could be toasted and go song with the fried rice as a main course, vegetables all chopped up and mixed in well with everything else. It was simple but it was good for the soul and even better for a web slinging, quip saying spider themed vigilante.

God she missed him.

She hoped he was doing okay, there hadn’t been any alerts or big news stories just yet so it seemed like a slow day.

“What’s on the menu?” Timkin laughed as he fixed his coat and walked into the kitchen where his daughter was sorting things away. Stina turned to him, a beautiful mixture of both of her parent’s features as she handed him a packed lunch.

“For you it’s fried rice, eggs with bell pepper and sausage, diced fruit, an orange and those bars you like.” Stina explained, there was more to it than that but seeing the beaming smile that spread across her father’s face made her feel shy. Timkin took the lunch and Stina leaned down so he could kiss her forehead and give her a hug.

“Thank you Dessy,” Timkin said as he smoothed her hair and Stina groaned.

“Dad,” She whined, trying to fix her bangs as Timkin laughed.

“You’re gonna shower anyway.”

“Do I smell?” She asked and from down the hall Jurek answered.

“Always!”

“Shut up!” Stina snapped as Timkin shook his head at his children’s antics, giving Stina one last kiss on her crown before waving to Jurek.

“I’m off. Don’t break down the house.” He warned as Jurek walked over, receiving his own kiss on the crown of his head.

“I’ll try but Stina’s so rowdy.” Jurek grinned as Stina gave him an annoyed glare to which he just smiled wider. Stina still never understood why they didn’t leave Jurek next to the playground set her parents found him by. Sure she wasn’t born until years after but there had to be some kind of return policy for idiot older brothers right?

“You can cook your own food then,” Stina said, jabbing her brother in the ribs as Jurek pouted and tried to hug her.

“But you’re my favorite sister!”

“I’m your only sister genius!”

“No breaking the house,” Their father warned as he made his way out the door and the two Heks siblings were left on their own for now until their mother came home. Stina shrugged and poked Jurek again as she passed by him.

“I’m gonna go shower, don’t eat everything.” Stina sighed, figuring now was a better time than any to get onto the next item on her to-do list.

“Oh, I’m off to Wylie’s soon.” Jurek explained as Stina stopped and turned back to him confused.

“Wylie?” Stina questioned. She knew who Jurek was talking about, Maruca and Wylie were cousins and Stina saw the guy on occasion whenever she was a guest at the Chebota household but before Maruca and Stina became friends, Wylie and Jurek used to play together when they were boys, having been in the same afterschool day care program their mothers had put them in. Wylie and Jurek had been as thick as thieves until Wylie lost his mother in an accident and went off to live with his uncle while his father tried to regain himself from such a loss.

Jurek had tried to keep ties with Wylie all these years but it had been hard to reach him often and they only met once or twice a year until recently. After that huge cloud had covered the planet with strange gas that dissipated as soon as it had began Jurek had suddenly started to see Wylie more often. It made Stina wonder…

“Jurek,” Stina’s brow furrowed, trying to read her own brother’s expression as she took a deep breath. “You know I wouldn’t judge you if you were an Inhuman, right?”

Surprise bloomed in Jurek’s eyes as he blinked for a few moments before nodding, giving his sister a small gentle smile.

“I know.” He nodded and Stina needed just a moment to fully grasp the sincerity in his eyes before she found that she could breathe again.

“Good,” She muttered softly as she walked down the hall to the bathroom.

“If you’re gonna go to Wylie’s then give back the tupperware mom borrowed!” Stina called over her shoulder as Jurek checked the fridge for the container, shouting back to her.

“It’s got something in it.”

“Yeah, it’s food genius, mom said it’s a thank you.”

“You know Tiergan’s just gonna send something back right?” Jurek laughed and Stina opened the bathroom door, shrugging as she looked at her brother.

“Adults are weird.” She waved off as she headed inside, trying to let the shower wash away her worries of her brother harboring secrets and the boy she was missing way too much to be even remotely cool.

-

Aaaaaaaaaaand that was the last of it.

Stina sighed as she slammed the book closed, shoving it as far away as the desk would allow as she gathered her notes and sorted them neatly, snapping them into their proper place in her binder. History bored her to tears but she hated missing trick questions on quizzes even more. Plus this was more than enough to get her a stamp for her notes and give her full points for the homework. Even though everyone thought Stina had some secret minion force made of nerdy freshmen dreaming of becoming popular, she was just someone who did her own homework herself like a normal person and not some total slacker. It was a pain in the ass to read such thick chapters every night but it wasn’t like this was hard to do.

“People are so stupid.” Stina muttered as she reached beside her for the small plate of peeled oranges.

“You’re telling me!” A familiar voice laughed and Stina jumped a little, banging her leg on the desk as the plate wobbled but a quick THWIP sent a small silky spider web to hold it in place and keep it from falling to the floor. Stina whirled around in her chair as Spider-Man crouched the rest of the way into her bedroom window and closed it behind him, shutting the blinds as Stina got up from her seat.

She was next to him in seconds as Jensi turned back to face her, pulling up his mask to reveal the face of the boy she loved and missed so dearly. His nose was a little red from the cold but his freckled face bore a broad smile as he looked up at her.

“Miss me?” He asked but Stina wasted no time as she kissed him, having him in her mind all day running circles in her thoughts had only made her want this so much more. She held his face in her hands as she spoke her longing to him through actions as she kissed him fiercely, his hand wrapping around her as his back pressed against her window.

“Stina!” He gasped as they parted for air for just a moment before Stina crashed their lips together again, wanting nothing more than to remain like this forever. She let Jensi catch his breath again, moving her lips to leave a trail of kisses going up his cheek, making a pass at this temple before brushing his hair back to kiss his forehead. He rubbed her shoulders and gave her arm a squeeze as Stina rested her forehead against his, breathing in fully now that he was here in her arms, now that he was safe and home.

She loved New York, she lived here, her family lived here, her friends, but Jensi was just one guy against a city of villains. It never stopped making her chest ache when she knew he was out there patrolling the city and getting so little thanks for all the work he does to ensure people get to come home to their loved ones. There were no words for the relief seeing him brought her, there was only the lifted weight off her chest and the blazing fire in her soul as she shifted, trying to get comfortable with their position.

Jensi backed up, putting a foot on the wall and lifting himself up slightly, his hand on the window so Stina wouldn’t have to lean down so much and she thanked him with another kiss on his forehead. Pressing her lips there for a second longer, trying to cast a spell over him that would keep him safe, that would allow him to come home every time. She needed him to come home.

Stina hated to admit it, much as she did every little thing that could get to her heart, that could break down her defenses so easily and have her eyes stinging like they were now, brimming with tears that felt so foolish to shed. Stina wouldn’t know what to do with herself if Jensi didn’t come home one day, if the fighting would’ve finally been too much for him to handle. She’d spend the rest of her life wondering if their time together had made his life any more worthwhile, if she had shown him enough love, if her love had been enough.

“Don’t scare me like that you idiot.” Stina shut her eyes, trying so hard not to cry but the tears were already spilling, her throat was already closing up and she knew she’d be a mess if she let this go on any longer.

“I tried to knock.” Jensi promised but that wasn’t what Stina meant and they both knew it. He wiped away her tears and Stina opened her eyes, looking at his beautiful freckles that reminded her of stars, the vitiligo on his face and the patterns she admired. He was her hero not because he could lift cars and swing across the city, but because he always managed to come back.

“Dumbass.” Stina laughed as his thumb brushed a stray tear. Hungry to devour him now that he was here Stina took his hand and kissed his thumb, he made a small noise in the back of his throat, surprised at her strength as she kissed his palm next, leaning back so she could extend his arm she kissed his wrist, then down to his elbow.

“Woah, Stina!” Jensi gasped as his face flushed but Stina just looked at him as she kissed his bicep, leaning down to kiss his shoulder, then up his neck. She had his arm over her shoulder, her thumb rubbing his wrist where she could feel his beating pulse as her other hand cupped his cheek and without her even needing to ask he tilted his head to let her savor the lazily, wandering journey she pursued up his neck, right to that little sweet spot she knew drove him wild.

“Stina, your parents-”

“Not home.” Stina replied quickly as she placed a kiss on the fluttering pulse in his jaw. It had been too long since she last saw him at school yesterday. Saturdays were busy days for him and she knew that as well as she knew her own name but waiting sucked so bad.

“Your brother?”

“With friends.” Stina answered as she kissed the corner of his lips and Jensi gave her a tiny tap on her shoulder, their signal for ‘stop’ as she pulled away and pushed her hair out of her face, looking into Jensi’s wide, bright eyes as he breathed heavily.

“Sorry.” Stina mumbled as she took a step back but Jensi just held up a hand, retrieving his arm as he placed it over his heart.

“No that- I mean that was- wow ! Just…Just give me a second.” Jensi wheezed as Stina felt her face burning with embarrassment as she backed up and gestured to her bed which was just a step away. Jensi unstuck himself from the wall and walked over, sitting down.

“Oh my god.” Jensi breathed and Stina sat at her desk chair, fiddling with her earring as Jensi dragged a hand down his face.

“Was that too much?” Stina asked but Jensi snapped his head up and shook it quickly.

“No! No thats was,” He cleared his throat but didn’t bother trying to hide the fact that his voice had cracked. “That was good- awesome- great even. I mean- that was hot!”

Stina laughed a little as she tried to ignoring the bright red blush that was surely all over her face, “Good to know.”

“I mean that was just, wow .” Jensi said softly and Stina covered her face as she tried not to smile at his stunned reaction.

“Thanks for the five star review.” Stina chuckled softly as she sighed and leaned back in her chair.

“You kissed me!”

“Very observant of you Jen.”

“Miss me that bad?” Jensi grinned and Stina looked between her fingers at him, raised a brow as she dropped her hand into her lap as she relaxed and crossed one leg over the other. Her Bitchy Queen pose as Marella called it

“You know it tiger.” Stina winked and tried to play it cool, defaulting to the nickname she gave him ages ago when he had shown up to a school dance with a striped tie. Technically she had shown up to the dance with him but then you could also say he came to the dance with all of her friends too but Stina had been the one to get out the limo they all managed to save up enough to rent and walk up to Jensi’s door. His brother had answered the door as Jensi stood behind him looking miserable as he held a wrist corsage in his hands.

“I’ll give you a chance to change.” Stina stood up and Jensi looked at her surprised and confused as he stood up too.

“Change? What- what do you mean change?? Do I smell?” Jensi asked and pulled the front of his suit to sniff out if he smelled as Stina shook her head, walking over to him as she tugged at his suit, the stretchy fabric did so little to hide his figure and it didn’t help that Stina’s mind needed a cool down after that kiss.

“You smell fine.” Stina laughed as she lifted the hem of his suit, the top half riding up to reveal his stomach. “But you forget, I haven’t checked you for injuries yet.”

Jensi’s eyes were wide and that wild spark that came from the kiss was still blazing as he looked down at her hands and then back up at her. His mouth opened and closed as he struggled to find words, a nervous giggle rising up as he ran a hand through his hair, looking at her shyly.

“Stina you’re gonna be the death of me I swear to god.” Jensi smiled and Stina figured that if anything were possible, she wouldn’t mind a nice happy life where they grew old together and she could fluster him like this as much as she wanted.

“If you’re not hiding any scratches,” Stina teased, her fingers brushing his sides and he shivered, sucking in a quick breath. “Then after we eat we can watch a movie on my bed…or I could kiss you some more?”

Jensi’s jaw dropped as his eyebrows challenged his hairline, he scoffed as he gestured to her and then her hands and then back at her.

“You think I’m going to pick a movie- you! You’re teasing me! This is teasing right here.” Jensi laughed as Stina stole a little kiss, Jensi leaned forward, trying to follow the motion as she pulled back and released his lips. The shock and betrayal on his face was one of her favorites, no injury was given but he was sure as hell not thinking of any movies anymore, just her. And yeah it was a little selfish but Jensi’s eyes were reflecting her desires and screw modesty and subtle hint dropping, she waited all day for him and piety be damned she was a teenage girl with a hot boyfriend!

“Which is it tiger? Movies or-”

Jensi didn’t even let her finish as he leaned back, grabbing the top half his suit and yanking it off, shaking his hair out as he took off his gloves and the webshooters, wiggling his fingers at her as he turned his palms showing her they were free of any injury. He patted his chest and abs and gave her a big smile.

“See, I’m clear. Kiss please.” Jensi beamed as Stina laughed and gently sat him back down on the bed, trying with all her might not to lose her train of thought by staring at his abs. Thank whatever super spider bit him, holy shit.

“Slow down Jen, let me get a good look.” Stina warned, reaching for her nightstand where she kept a first aid kit and popped it open.

“You can get a good look while we kiss.” Jensi offered, her favorite goofy grin on his face as he waggled his eyebrows, never the best at being subtle. She flicked his nose and smiled back as she went about her usual inspection of her danger daring boyfriend.

“I’ll take your suggestion into careful consideration.” She hummed as she checked his shoulders first, examining the big bruise that had slowly gotten smaller and smaller, Jensi healed quickly so for a bruise to stay for longer than a day or two was worrying but from the looks of it he’d be right as rain by the time tomorrow rolled around. She glided a finger down his chest, feeling for any small scratch that could’ve been on the cusp of fully healing, there was one small scar but that was one she was used to feeling and seeing. His first time fighting crime hadn’t been a pretty picture and almost all of newyork still remembers seeing Spider-Man stabbed in the chest trying to save civilians from the brand new super villain Vulture.

Jensi shivered slightly and Stina looked up at him worried as she felt the shiver ripple down his body.

“Are you cold?”

“No,” He shook his head, cheeks red as he gave a sheepish smile, shrugging as he avoided eye contact. “It’s just, it just tickles a lot when you do that.” He admitted and Stina smiled, Jensi was never one to shy away from the fact that he was ticklish or that he was easily flustered or embarrassed. He was a nerd at heart and Stina was glad that part of him never changed even after gaining superpowers and becoming the hero of New York.

“This?” Stina grinned as she gently repeated what she had done before, Jensi squealed and wiggled in his seat as he laughed and crossed his arms over his chest.

“Yes!” He smiled. “That!”

“Spider-Man’s got sensitive spider senses huh?” Stina joked, poking his arms as he dropped them and leaned back on his palms. She was careful when she brought her hands to his sides, another spot that made him squirm. She had him leaning forward, his head on her stomach as she checked his back and either he was impatient (which he was known to be) or her bold behavior was starting to infect him because he lifted her shirt just enough to kiss her stomach.

“Jensi!” Stina gasped, a giggling escaping her lips as Jensi popped his head up and gave her a smile.

“What?” He asked innocently and Stina knew she was a horrible influence but this she didn’t mind.

“You’re gonna get it after we eat.” Stina warned but there was no bite to her words as she gave him a tiny poke in the ribs and he straightened, wiggling around at the tickle.

“You could just devour me instead.” Jensi offered, laying down on her bed as Stina gaped at him. He gave her a smirk and a wink in response as Stina burst out laughing and moved to lay down beside him.

“Who are you and what have you done to my nerdy boyfriend?” Stina demanded as she looked at him and Jensi gave her a dimpled smile as he turned on his side.

“Well my super hot girlfriend made out with me before I could even say hi so I’m a little kiss-focused right now.” Jensi shrugged casually as Stina moved a little closer to him, cupping his face in her hand as she chuckled, her eyes drinking him in; his smile, his bright eyes so full of light and hope, his goofy fluffy hair, those abs

Jensi turned his head, holding her hand in his as he placed a tiny kiss on her palm that made her head spin as she sat up and looked down at him.

“Menu changed,” Stina breathed, leaning over him as Jensi’s eyes recognized the dangerous low voice she used, the meaning behind it and her change in mood. “I want something sweet.”

Jensi swallowed, the sound audible as he looked her up and down, his hands reaching up as she straddled him, resting them on her waist as he beamed.

“You’re in luck, I’m nothing but sweet.”

“Good,” Stina whispered as she brought her lips to his, melting at the sweet, gentle kiss he returned. The beating of her heart so strong in her ears she thought she was going crazy as she savored the slow dance their lips moved in before kicking it up a notch. She captured his bottom lip and gave the tiniest of tugs, not too rough, never too rough. Not yet at least.

Stina wasn’t proud to say how many she had kissed before Jensi, a few of those kisses had just been friends but the others? Stina hadn’t cared too much about their feelings nor did they ever give a damn about hers, they had only kissed her because of her name, what it meant to a high school full of sheep that listened to every word she said no matter how true or false it was.

But Jensi?

He had been her first serious kiss, her first serious crush that didn’t fade in two weeks or some facade she put on because neither person actually liked the real them. Jensi was real, he was kind and sweet and real . She loved him more than she loved this city, cared for him just as much as he cared for the people, held him and sheltered him when things got rough because no one else would. He was alone for so long and now Stina had so much time to show him what love was and she wasn’t about to let go too soon. Not when she was finally able to hold him like this, bathe him in her affection and drown him in the waters below.

His hands moved up and down her back, one hand settling on her shoulders and treading into her hair as she kept one hand to steady herself, the other tilting his chin to get just the right angle. He held her closer and his warm just a breath away from her own was sending her into overdrive. Trailing her lips down his neck he shivered and held still for a brief second, gasping as her lips parted and her teeth grazed his skin.

“Stina.” He whispered, on the edge of the unknown and wanting so badly to jump.

“Tell me where.” She spoke into his skin, letting her teeth catch a small bite before moving down to his shoulder, he gripped her tight, body arching upwards to meet her.

“Please, god, please Stina.”

“As you wish Spider-Dork.” Stina whispered before taking a bite.

__.__

Biana stretched as she sat in her chair, raising her arms up high over her head as something popped and her shoulders felt more loose. She sighed pleasantly as she rolled her neck next and checked the computer system for any new alerts or logs. It wasn’t her job to be security watch but she liked seeing any dots that popped up on the map. The X-Men had an impressive analysis system that alerted them of any large scale crime or natural disaster, anything small like a car thief or a barbeque gone wrong technically wasn’t their area of assistance but Biana found that unspoken rule particularly stupid. It made no sense to turn their backs on crime that ‘wasn’t up to their level’. Crime was crime and justice would be delivered to all.

Gosh that was dramatic to think but it was true. Ever since Biana’s dormant powers had awakened, Biana knew that she had a responsibility to help those in need and while it was impossible to help someone who didn’t want to be helped, that didn’t mean she’d retreat her hand and walk away.

She was luckier than most mutants and Inhumans around the world; her family had been more than supportive after the Terrigan Mists had covered the earth for a brief moment and activated the dormant superpowers in her blood; Fitz most of all had been nothing but the sturdiest rock for her to lean on and hold onto while the world turned upside down for her and her father. It had been made clear he was also an Inhuman and that was where those abilities and genetics came from but the X-gene hadn’t made itself clear on anyone else besides her.

Tiergan Alenefar, the leader and founder of the Alenefar School for Gifted Youths, had guessed that Biana’s X-gene had simply been less dormant and more so unfinished, it had only needed the sudden activation of her Inhuman abilities to help it fully trigger and make itself known to her.

Which was just a fancier way of saying Biana was the weirdest one of her family with the most obscenely complicated and picky genetics. Yay her. How lucky she was that her body had morphed itself into a big rube goldberg machine that just needed some green mist to get the ball rolling.

“Stalking New York?” Dex teased as the doors to the room shut behind him, Biana spun around having not heard him coming in at all.

“It’s not stalking, I’m being vigilant.” Biana rebutled as Dex rolled his eyes and dragged a chair over to sit next to her.

“So stalking.” He grinned as Biana rolled her eyes back at him but found herself unable to help from smiling. Dex was a mutant just like the rest of the X-Men but his powers had had such a subtle activation Dex hadn’t realized he had gained superpowers for the longest time. In his own words, he thought he had just had the worst fever in all of existence for two weeks straight and then just walked it off.

“What are you doing here then? Stalking?” Biana challenged, crossing her arms as Dex laughed, he pushed his hair back and looked at her from under his lashes.

“How corny is it if I say I came here because of you?” He asked and Biana’s heart didn’t just skip in her chest, it did a whole routine and won gold as she looked at Dex’s handsome face, his gentle eyes and freckled skin. He was being smooth and Biana wasn’t a huge fan of being outplayed, especially not from the boy that left her thinking the feeling wasn’t mutual for months .

“Well you found me.” Biana nodded as she moved her chair to look at the computer, pressing a few buttons before giving Dex a glance over her shoulder. “So what are you going to do now?”

Dex blushed and Biana raved at the sight, due to his light complexion Dex was always the easiest to be seen blushing, it’s what made beating him at his own game all the more sweeter. He looked into her eyes and glanced away, peaking her interest as he rubbed the back of his neck and licked his lips.

“Well I uh,” He stumbled. “I was thinking, maybe , you’d wanna hang out in the lounge? The new couch is finally in and it’s pretty cozy. It’s at the best spot to watch the TV so-”

“Oh.” Biana cut in as she turned back to the computer, clicking away at a small part of Brooklyn and Queens the X-Men had been told to stay out of by Spider-Man.

“You were thinking about watching a movie.” Biana said solemnly, like the idea disappointed her when in truth she would’ve loved to lay down and cuddle under a blanket to watch a movie. She wasn’t a major horror fan but it was fun to pick movies she knew would scare her and show them to Dex, sharing in the screams and groans of disgust. Romantic movies just had them yelling at the screen for the girl to do better, find a hotter guy, go with the second guy instead, stop cheating with her best friend’s boyfriend etc. They hadn’t had a movie night in a while but Biana wasn’t too interested in movies right now.

“Okay,” Dex said slowly, stretching out the word. “Let’s raincheck on the movie then.”

“Mm, good idea.” Biana nodded, doing a quick little check up on her father’s work. Okay so this was semi stalking but this was her dad, she was allowed to check if he was safe at work, it was in her constitutional rights as his daughter to worry about him just as much as he always ‘didn’t’ worry about everything happening around them. No reason to worry her arse.

“You know it’s not that dark yet, the sun won't go down for a while so it could be nice to go on a walk. Stretch your legs.” Dex suggested, hopefulness in his voice and Biana didn’t need a second pair of eyes to know he was abusing his not so secret superpower of puppy eyes. Sometimes it felt cruel to tease him like this but it was also so much fun.

“My legs are fine, just stretched actually.” Biana mused, checking on her neighborhood, giving the area a good comb over before moving on to the next area.

“Uhh, pool’s free!” Dex tried next and Biana’s hand paused from moving the mouse over, thinking about Dex and herself alone at the pool, the cold water didn’t sound like the greatest suggestion but if the hot tub was open too she wouldn’t mind the heat so long as she got to see him in those trunks.

“Maybe not the cold water.” Biana said, making a face at the thought when inside she was thinking a little too hard about Dex shirtless in a hot tub.

“Sparring?” Dex suggested and Biana raised a brow as she kept on the computer, replying to a message from Fitz telling her he’d be at the library a little late but he’d still be able to drive her home so she wouldn’t have to catch a ride on the metro.

“Sparring?” Biana winced, she said not the cold water, how did he go from ‘not cold water’ to ‘oh sparring’.

“Not sparring.” Dex sighed, leaning back in his chair in disappointment but Biana wondered which of them should actually be disappointed, her or him. She had given him a hint to what she thought was a better idea than the cold pool. It wasn’t rocket science, it was flirting.

“We could stay here and just keep talking.” Dex shrugged and dropped his hands on his lap as Biana gave up and laughed. Standing up to dismiss his notion of staying and taking as she wheeled on him, leaning back against the desk.

“You’re clueless aren’t you?” Biana flashed him a smile as Dex pouted and raised a brow.

“You’re not making this easy Bee, I’m not a telepath.”

“Dex, what’s the opposite of a cold pool?” Biana quizzed and Dex frowned, not yet seeing where she was going with this or why.

“A hot tub?” He answered the trick question as Biana nodded.

“That’s right.” She beamed but Dex’s mind, as clever as it was, needed a moment to load the information before she actually saw the metaphorical light bulb go off in his head. Boys were so clueless sometimes.

“Oh!” Dex gasped as he shot to his feet, his eyes alight as he gave her a grin. Biana giggled as his excitement radiated off of him and infected her, finding herself smiling just as widely as he was as he pointed between them and she nodded.

“What the heck, why didn’t you just say so?” Dex scoffed as he took her hand and Biana had to physically stop the squeal that tried to escape her lips as he pulled her close, her hands on his chest as she stumbled and caught herself.

“The tub won’t get up and walk away you know.” Biana laughed, leaning up and kissing his cheek. Dex melted in her hands and turned his face so he could steal a small kiss, sending a buzzing excitement down her spine as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Not to be a total guy, but I really wanna kiss you in a hot tub now.” Dex whispered in her ear as Biana hummed and kissed his cheek.

“You gonna carry me the whole way?”

“You want me to?”

“Maybe.” She teased as Dex snorted and kissed her forehead.

“Yeah, okay, you want me to.”

Biana’s mind had been right on the money with the imagine of Dex in trunks, he was on the leaner side but that's what Biana liked about him. All their training as X-Men had them in top athletic form and Biana had never been more grateful for that training. Sure it was grueling and sometimes over the top but if that got her the view in front of her as Dex dipped into the water then god bless Tiergan Alenefar.

“You’re staring,” Dex laughed as he hissed a little at the heat before sinking down to his neck to get used to the steam and warmth.

“Stand up, I wasn’t done.”

Biana was leaning against the end of the tub and seated on the ledge that left the water lapping at her midriff. Dex raised a brow at her but stood at her common which Biana was getting a little too accustomed to but she wasn’t about to say anything to stop it. If Dex was willing to listen to her no matter how ridiculous that was his own fault, she wasn’t always right, she just mostly was.

But in this case Dex had the upper hand as he stood and walked over to her, wading through the short distance between them until he was sitting down next to her, a smug smirk on his lips.

“Satisfied?” He teased and Biana felt her face flushing from more than just the steam of the tub as she leaned forward, kissing him softly.

“Not in the slightest.” She whispered softly, her lips brushing across his as he laughed, wrapping his arms around her and she shifted so she was on his lap. As embarrassing as a position as this was, she didn’t have the capacity to care about who found them like this as Biana continued to kiss Dex, running her fingers through his hair, loving the shiver he gave as the water dripping off her fingers slid down his neck and back. The heat around them was nothing like the scorching heat that was between them right now as Biana shifted in his lap, sitting up higher as she tried to be the taller one this time.

Dex leaned up and it took Biana’s breath away as she shut her eyes again, enjoying the kiss as their lips sang in harmony, moving in tandem as Dex’s hands slid up her back and sides, making her tremble slightly. She sucked in a small breath as they parted only to crash their lips back together, her fingers thoroughly in his hair as one of his hands traced a smooth circle on her hip with his thumb, the sensation driving her mad as she pressed her body against his, pushing him against the edge of the hot tub.

“Shit Biana,” Dex breathed, face positively flushed red as his ears took on an adorable pink tinge. “Why the hell did you do a riddle when you could’ve just said ‘lets make out in the hot tub’?”

His lips found her neck and Biana tugged softly at his hair , pressing him close as she felt the mark he was leaving on her skin and relished in the sensation, the shiver of excitement that rocketed through her body like lightning.

“Because,” Biana breathed, struggling to focus as he licked the hickey he just left behind and moved onto another spot to kiss.

“Because?” He whispered and she knew he was teasing her, moving his hands on her hips, kissing her neck knowing she was weak there, pressing his body against her fully aware how much she wanted this.

“Because, you’ve got to heat up the tub before you can dive in.” Biana panted and captured his lips before he could say another stupid word. She was way too warm, way too dizzy from the kisses and the touching, as she shifted in his lap and felt him whine against her lips she knew he was feeling what she felt as the water seemed to boil all around them.

Her fingernails scratched his scalp and Dex opened his mouth as her name tumbled out of his lips before she slipped her tongue into his mouth, pulling back before pushing back in. They split for air more often this way as they moved their mouths this way and that, her hips against his. If anyone caught them right now Biana wouldn’t even notice, all that was on her mind was Dex’s body and all the adorable sounds he was making as she slipped her tongue out of his mouth and nibbled at his earlobe; Dex’s ultimate weakness.

She felt him tensing under her wandering hands, moving her fingers down his arm until his hand reached up to hold hers, clutching tightly as he whispered her name.

“Biana,” He groaned and Biana pulled just a little before releasing her hold on his ear as he gasped and held her to his chest, fingernails digging into her shoulder slightly and his short breaths fanned across her skin and he kissed her collarbone.

“Biana.” He said again, kissing his way up to the pulse on her neck.

“Biana.” He prayed when she moved against him, pulling his wet hair and clutching him close, letting go of his hand as it joined the other in wandering her body.

“Biana-”

“Dex.”

Stina was not proud of herself but she wasn’t ashamed either as she ran her fingers through Jensi’s hair as he gobbled down his meal. Spider-Man and his super appetite.

Most girls probably found it gross how much their boyfriends could consume in one meal, all the stuff they’d stack onto their lunch trays and inhale in under an hour. It was a little gross when they didn’t chew with their mouths closed but Jensi had what most teenage boys lacked which was table manners as he pushed a little rice on his lip into his mouth and licked the sauce on his fingers off.

“He’s such an idiot.” Jensi mumbled, pausing to swallow the food in his mouth before continuing. “That guy is clearly the villain, he’s animated all evily!”

“Evily,” Stina repeated as she took his plate and put it down on her night stand as Jensi rested his head on her lap with the towel as a buffer for his wet hair. He had taken a shower after their…impromptu jump to dessert but for some reason Jensi had only changed into pajama bottoms but no shirt. Not that Stina was complaining, it just made it harder to focus on the episode playing on her laptop, especially when she could see every single pink mark on his body she had left behind.

Her eyes just wanted to admire her work while her mind kept telling her that there was no way Maruca and Marella would let her go without at least some details if Jensi spilled the beans that he got the make out of his life and that Stina left a mark even his super healing still hadn’t fully faded away.

It was only slightly annoying to know that if Stina left a hickey on Jensi it would last for maybe an hour or two at best and if she seriously put effort into it then half a school day (don’t ask how she knew) but at least that made hiding said hickeys and marks a whole lot easier. For Jensi at least, Stina didn’t have super healing so anything he wanted to leave behind had to be under her collarbone Which meant under her shirt which Jensi was never going to complain about, ever.

Stina smoothed back his wet hair and loved the way he smiled up at her, the way his body was just there, out for her to see everything- well most things.

Focus Heks.

Stina looked at the X-Men themed pajama bottoms she got for nearly 70% off and tried not to think about how stupid she had felt going into a store and buying clothes for Jensi to wear whenever he came over to her place. Originally she had done it because all Jensi had was a spare spidersuit and with his old one torn to threads and scraps of fabric with his energy down to critically low levels of tired Stina forbade him from even thinking about swinging home in his condition and made him stay. Of course if he was to stay over he needed to change out of his rags and into comfortable clothes. They tried using her clothes but she was obviously twice his size and as much as Jensi insisted he was fine with her clothes, they were hanging off of him at best and pooling around his ankles at worst.

So off to the store she went, going into the mens section and trying to make as little eye contact with the people around her as possible as she hurriedly texted Jensi for his size and got out of there with only half her dignity left.

But she had definitely bought him plenty of shirts to wear so the fact that he had purposefully forgone the suggestion of a shirt was telling as he stretched out and rested a hand on his stomach next to a fading pink hickey.

“You’re doing this on purpose aren’t you.” Stina accused softly, poking his forehead as Jensi blinked and looked up at her with a big grin.

“Don’t know what you mean,” He smiled but his dimples were liars and Stina could see right through him.

“I’m going to get you back Jensi Babblos.” Stina warned and poked his forehead again as he giggled, grabbing her hand and kissing her finger.

“I hope so,” He beamed and Stina groaned, of course she had to pick the silliest boy in all of the known universe to be her boyfriend. She couldn’t say she had poor taste in boys, all girls should have superhero boyfriends with secret identities, the secrets made the kissing so much hotter but that also made said boyfriends so much smugger.

“I’d lean down and kiss you so you’d shut up but I’m not that flexible.”

“Could’ve fooled me.”

“Jensi!”
