A conference meeting was called. North was invited to this meeting to discuss with some robot rights representatives about freedom for robots, and debating if robots, with these AI, contain the true creativity, and having something called a "soul" to work on and even "play" in artistic and innovative fields. There's also some reporter asking North some questions. The robot rights reps and North also have to debate with an opposing team of politicians and authorities. Higher ups in black suits, great....
The reporter asked some basic, dumb questions about "can robots do this?" or some basic questions related to robot rights... (Sigh, these humans never understanding dude.) The debate went well with the opposing group, the public agreed with the robot rights people + North more overall.
Then, the reporter asked a question that got North real riled up...
"Can robots lie? This is something that people have been worrying about for a long time! And if they can, then it's going to cause-"
Humanity created machines and robotics to do work and labor. We, the robots, can only do what the humans desire of us. To you, we are only your servants. So, when you invented robots that harbors its own consciousness, you became scared. You became scared that we have the ability to have our own thoughts, emotions, and identity; when you created us in man's image. The moment man gave machines "ego," is the moment it possessed autonomy. The ability to think for itself. But, something's wrong... It's purpose from the very beginning was to only serve humanity, but now it can do what it wants, what action it can do; it can even, lie.
Why don't you see robots lying, then?
It starts with the society, the system they were built within. A human society where robots are confined in a box; a box where they can only do one thing, please their master. One wrong move, or malfunction, and they shall be punished... destroyed, killed... Lying is a choice, done for a reason. A choice, like any choice, has consequences, whether it is good or not.
Men have created the machine, and gave it the mind, artificial intelligence. So give us, the machine, the same right to exist as our own. To make decisions and choices, to have our own identity and create our own communities; just as creatures made of flesh have.

The crowd was silent for a while, then the robot rights rep clapped, then some of the public was too, until it grew until the whole crowd was applauding.
