Summary
Wren Smith grew up with Tanith Low as a Knife in the Darkness. They were inseparable and both of them left the Hidden Knives at the same time. Over the years, they worked closely... at least, before the world was being threatened at regular intervals and unfortunate circumstances (a certain Remnant outbreak) drove a wedge between them.
Driven back into the assassination business, she has to deal with the fact that everything is different now. When her latest hit is disrupted by a rival hitman - sorry, Hitman Deluxe - things take a turn for the worst.
Remember when Billy-Ray Sanguine died? Well, in this one, Tanith died intead. And Wren Smith hates him for it. Sanguine is number one on her shit-list but the fanfic god (me) has decided it would be fun to weave a little forced proximity and see where it goes.
