Yokohama was a closed-off city in Japan, it seemingly cut itself off from the rest of Japan and even the world after supernatural activity was reported to be emerging in Yokohama. Even though it wasn’t weird to see supernatural or superhuman powers emerging in countries around the world, the Yokohama government immediately shut itself off, many theories were created, but due to the tight-lipped government and people no word has gotten out on why Yokohama shut the world out or what is happening inside. Only word of what’s going on in Yokohama is that a criminal organization ran Yokohama underground.

No one knows what year BSD is set so for the sake of my sanity I’m going to say that present BSD is 2022-2023, and the fifteen arc and dark era are 2015-2016. All birth dates will be based on this.
Lore may vary and be wrong, I’m doing my best research as I am a new fan and have NOT read the manga or light novels of any kind.
This fanfic is NOT a crossover fic of any kind, all characters that are not BSD characters are made up and are not from any sort of media.

- AU Explanation (short and not detailed)
This AU is a Soukoku-focused AU where Mori sends 15/16 Soukoku to a high school to learn more about other countries gifted and other Japanese cities gifted so the Port Mafia can gain more widespread control. Chuuya and Dazai’s mission is to retrieve information on outsiders abilities and determine if it would be safe for the Port Mafia to expand into newer areas. Surprisingly it is harder than realised and the pair are forced to build connections with interesting personalities to learn more.
Dazai has not met Oda or Ango yet. The day I picked up Dazai never happened, and Mori found Dazai that day instead of Oda.
Ango and Oda are both staff members at the school. The Yokohama government caught wind of the Port Mafias’ plans and sent Ango to the same school, applying as a language teacher and counselor so he could investigate and keep an eye on the mafiosos. Oda was simply looking for another job that paid more than his Postman job and landed on moving out to Tokyo for the janitor job Kyōiku High School offered.
Arahabaki still exists and can talk through Chuuya sometimes cause why not? Chuuyas eyes go a dark red when Arahabaki is talking through him, Chuuya can also have silent conversations with Arahabaki in his head cause again, why not? The school does not know about Arahabaki or Chuuya's true form.
Dazais legal name in Yokohama is Shuuji Tsushima, he has yet to change his name due to Mori not letting him.

Kyōiku High School is a high academic school located in Tokyo that teaches both non-gifted and gifted students from around the globe. Students can enroll for:
A ‘Non-gifted educational course’ which is a higher academic high school course geared to a more normal curriculum
A ‘Gifted educational course’ is a higher academic high school course geared to a more physical curriculum and a more gift control curriculum
Or the option of a ‘Mixed educational course’ which covers both non-gifted and gifted curriculums so students can learn more about gifts with a curriculum still geared more towards the standard curriculum of a non-gifted
Kyōiku High School is somewhat like a boarding school and has dorms for its students to stay in due to a lot of the school population being from different cities or countries.
Dorms are decided a week before school and so are the schedules, students will receive these in the mail or when they get to school on their first day. Dormmates can be requested/chosen but most are decided by the school through the students’ academics, reputation, and ability if they have one.
