Chapter Text

Pure Vanilla opened his eyes to find himself in a dark space, almost like the place where he converses with the Light of Truth. However, this place seemed emptier.

His last memory was of him next to White Lily Cookie, both of them snuggling next to each other... ah. This must be a dream, but it sure didn't feel like it to Pure Vanilla. He felt as if he was awake.

He noticed he was sitting on nothing, with the void beneath him seeming to stretch on forever. He'd usually get scared, but he knew this was a dream, so anything can't hurt him. The "nothing" that he was sitting on however, made him question his senses, since it felt like a cold marble floor instead. Oh well, the price of dreaming.

He stretched his arms, accidentally bumping it to a Cookie sitting back to back of him.

"Oh! Apologies, I didn't know you were there." Pure Vanilla apologized by natural instinct.

He tried to get a good look at the Cookie behind him, but something restrained his neck from turning around.

"Don't even bother. You think I haven't tried that already~?" the Cookie replied.

Pure Vanilla faced his front now, giving up from trying to look at the mystery Cookie. That voice... it seemed to familiar to him...

"I'm sooo bored!" the Cookie complained.

"...Is this really a dream?" Pure Vanilla blurted out loud.

"Hmm? It's up to you to decide! Hehehe!"

Pure Vanilla sighed softly, staring out into the empty space in front of him as he rested his legs outwards. He had interesting thoughts about this whole scenario, but he couldn't find an answer to anything. Why can't he see the other Cookie? Why does the other Cookie sound so familiar? What is this dream?

"May I ask for your name?" he asked.

"You silly~! You already know it! Fine, it's--"

The other Cookie got cut off suddenly.

"Excuse me? Can you repeat that again?"

"It's--"

It must be a dream logic that I can't know the Cookie's name...

"Never mind, it's okay." he sighed again.

"Hehe! What an interesting place to be in, don't you think?"

"Mhm." Pure Vanilla nodded.

This dream, although it's a dream, still has its own limits. The other Cookie might not even be real. Although, it wouldn't hurt to ask them a few questions, to pass the time, before Pure Vanilla actually gets woken up in reality.

"Can you tell me a story?" Pure Vanilla suggested.

The other Cookie chuckled, "Oh, I'll tell you the BEST story you've ever heard!"

Pure Vanilla shifted into a more comfortable position.

"Once upon a long time! There was an oh so wise Cookie! He was the wisest and the most knowledgeable of all!" the Cookie began.

"He was praised and worshipped by all the other little insignificant Cookies!"

This Cookie certainly has some... interesting selection of vocabulary.

"However! He soon was doubted! The greed of the little pests drove the poor wise Cookie to the brink of sadness! Oh nooo! Boohoo! However!"

Pure Vanilla perked up.

"The Cookie was like a phoenix! He was reborn anew with more special, cool, and definitely awesome powers! Now, no Cookie was doubting or taking advantage of him! The Cookie would toy and play with everyone that once looked down on him! Oh the pitiful screams of the tortured! Wonderous! Wonderful acting! The Cookie was soon crowned the most amazing playwriter, actor, director, etc.! Of all time! Now, isn't that amazing?"

Pure Vanilla was slightly shocked by the story, with a few parts in the story he disagreed with, but he answered, "I see.."

The Cookie laughed, "Hehehe! Unfortunately~ the Cookie was punished for his unparalleled greatness! Half of his own power was given to a completely different pest... oh just thinking about it makes me want to DESTROY someone... doesn't it? Ah, but.. that's not my job!"

Pure Vanilla nodded, "That is an interesting story, you have there, my friend."

"Of course! Of course!"

Pure Vanilla wanted to add on to the conversation, but found himself out of ideas.

He closed his eyes, wishing the dream will be over soon.
