    Without a warning Carlos began to slump in TK’s arms. He frowned and tightened his embrace, alarm prickling like electricity everywhere in his tense body. “Carlos?”
    “Tyler, I don’t...” Why was Carlos slurring? “I don’t feel so good.”

     

    It was supposed to be just another night shift. Instead TK’s worst nightmare begins as Carlos is badly injured at a scene where they’re both working. Despite his best efforts and Carlos’ stubbornness they seem to be fighting a hopeless battle to save the cop’s life.

    Will TK end up losing Carlos, or will fate grant them one more miracle?
