Virgil’s POV
Ever since I gave Logan that puzzle for Christmas he’s been showing up everywhere!
Whenever I leave my room he slowly starts making his way towards me to “nonchalantly” strike up a conversation to ask for more. I’m honestly glad he liked the one I gave him so much, it gives me an excuse to make more. I bet he’d enjoy that.
While thinking about it, It’s made me notice how much I like giving Logan things. Small stuff you know, just to brighten up his day.
I like seeing how his eyes light up when I bring him a cup of coffee while he works, or even asking about what he’s working on while bringing him some extra lined paper. It makes me feel warm, I enjoy being around him. He’s not loud like the others and gives me a grounded feeling.
I’m glad the puzzle has made him talk to me more. Seeing him just randomly come up to me and start awkwardly rambling is kinda cute. Plus when his rambles really start taking off it’s always captivating.
The way he talks could have me trapped listening like no audio book could. You can always tell how much he enjoys the topic based off how much he uses his hands.
Logan will hide them by either shoving them in his pockets or crossing his arms when he’s tense about the subject matter. When he’s trying to prove a point he’ll use his hands to help express what he’s saying.
The one he does the most while talking to me (much more now since Christmas) is flap his hands on his legs either quickly or in a steady rhythm when it’s about something he’s passionate about. It’s so endearing it makes me feel- WOAH OKAY BRAIN, LETS GET BACK ON TRACK! OKAY? OKAY.
The main reason why I even started going down this mental rabbit hole is so I could start thinking about another puzzle to make Logan. After all it’s about to be his birthday and I did tell him I’d make him one every holiday.
Do birthdays even count as a holiday?
I don’t know, I’m gonna make him one anyway tho. He’s been asking for a bit so might as well indulge him a bit. His birthday isn’t for a good hot minute though, like it’s in a few months.
Whatever, it’s not like the few holidays between now and then are any big ones.
The real question is, should I connect it to the first one or make an entirely different one? Hmmmm
Meanwhile
Logan’s POV
All day I’ve been in my room trying to catch up on all the work I’ve been slacking on.
Well, most of it isn’t work, some can be considered personal projects but I’d like them done in a timely manner as well.
For example Thomas’s outline of a schedule for next week. Considering the fact that it’s Friday already, I should probably work on that first.
Thomas never seems to be able to follow a detailed one well so I’m testing out a new type of schedule. This one will allow for easier altercations, that way he’ll hopefully feel less inclined to try avoiding or procrastinating what needs to get done.
Preferably it’ll work out better than last time. Trying to get Thomas to follow a stricter schedule while dealing with Remus was absolutely infuriating.
I should be almost done with it, I just got to finish planning out the last two days. Maybe after that I could go find Virgil, I feel like he’s the easiest and most enjoyable to talk to.
When we talk he actually seems to listen to what I’m saying. His point of view is one I find most intriguing and he doesn’t seem to mind when I work while speaking to him.
He even helps with it sometimes, it’s very nice of him. I appreciate all the help I can get. Plus, despite his room being disorganized he has a very organized way of working that I admire.
Just thinking about spending time with him tugs a smile to my lips. I’ll have to hurry and get to work.
The more I focus the faster I work. The faster I work the sooner I can talk to him. I might even ask him his thoughts on the schedule.
