“You don’t have to be strong all the time, you know,” he murmured, and Henrik froze, an unhappy frown crossing his face.
“But- What if someone needs something, I can’t just- I need to help!“
“You don’t have to be the only one people rely on,” Chase interrupted, “I’m here, Hen. You can rely on me. When you don’t feel like being strong, I’m here. I promise.”
Henrik slumped into him, shaking his head.
“But- If you need something, you need me to help, I need to help-“
“Hen, listen to me,” Chase said firmly, brushing a strand of hair out of Henrik’s face. “I’m here, you can rely on me if you need. Always. I know I can rely on you, and you’re always looking out for me, so please, just let me do the same for you.”tried to write fluff, it got angsty, what's new.

Summary
Roman blinked at Janus. Janus raised a brow. A minute went by.
“Well, this was a lovely conversation,” Janus said, moving to close the door. Roman lurched forward.
“Wait!” Roman cried, catching the door before it was shut, “I-uh. I came to ask for a favor, I think.”
Janus regarded him like he was an errant piece of lint. But he hadn’t closed the door on Roman again so Roman continued, “I need-”
“My, slow down there. Who ever said I was willing to grant a free favor?”
Right. That made sense. Which was saying something because not much was making sense to Roman at the moment. “Uh. What do you want in return?” he asked.
Janus shrugged a single shoulder and angled his face up at Roman, “I’d have to hear what you want first.”
Janus was being frustrating on purpose, Roman knew that. Normally Roman would take the bait.
Today, though, Roman just looked Janus in the eyes. Janus’s eyebrow twitched, though the rest of his expression remained neutral. Roman took a breath.
“I need you to tell me if I’m lying to myself.”
