Work Text:

Warmth is something people find comfort in. It's something loads and loads of people wish for.
It could be any kind of warmth, warmth form people, warmth through nature or warmth through memmemories.
Whatever the source of your warmth might, keep it close and take care of it. Because once you feel cold and freez, getting back that warmth is a long and tiring journey.

The warmth I once desired back when I was a kid was simple, hugs and cuddles. And my parents knew how to give those. Though the older I got I couldn't depend on their warmth alone and I had to search for a source of warmth which could keep me warm through cold patches.

And at first I thought I found new warmth, warmth emitted by love. But I had to learn the cold hard truth.
There are people, people who can and will drain your warmth from you to forfill their needs. And they don't care if the leave you freezing. Some people do this slowly and eat up all your joy and warmth, leaving you behind in the cold cold snow. Their heart themself feels cold. And while the try, no stolen warmth from anyone can truly keep them warm.

But that doesn't matter when they have drained you and can no longer keep warm using you they leave, and you may try to ignite a fire in yourself to keep warm. But something rinsed you just froze over that flame you once held dear to you.
And you try and try but you just sink deeper into that cold, thinking you gone beyond the point of return.

But I've learned something else, some people will give you warmth, sharing theirs while warming themslefs in the fire which was created between you two. Those people, those people are those who you should keep around you. People who keep the fire inside you burning while not suffering themselves. Then when you find such people can you burn together and keep the cold out.

No matter how chaotic the storm around you, as long as you stay with each other your flames won't go out, the will withstand storms as strong as tornados.

And while the flame and the warmth I once held as a child is now no longer there, I found new warmth in someone I trusted. And while giving my flame and trust to another person again felt like a stormy breeze I walked through it and found myself emitting a firey passion once again. And I while give everything to hold that warmth we emitt to each other burning.

And with all the honesty I can muster up I want to say: I wish all people to feel that warmth one day, and I wish for them to keep that warmth near them. And while you might have to walk through the cold ice once or twice in your life, I am certain the flame within you will burn once more and keep you warmth in times of need.
