Slash and Dine

Summary:

Misha brings her new boyfriend to meet the Graham-Lecter Family, what could go wrong?

Work Text:

Mischanne "Misha" Evangeline Graham-Lecter knew her parents had rules. Some of them were reasonable. Others, not so much. For example, Will always said she should avoid "dangerous companions." Which was hilarious, considering who he was married to.

But still, she tried. She tried dating a normal guy. She tried going out with a med student. She even gave a chance to a guy who wanted to be a sommelier. But it was all boring. The truth was, Misha liked chaos. So, when she met Danny, she immediately knew she was going to have fun.

Of course, he had some issues. Like a minor obsession with horror movies. And a slight tendency for threatening phone calls. But that was just a detail.

That night, Will was already suspicious. He could feel it in his bones. Misha was way too calm, and every time that happened, something bad followed. Nicholas, his youngest son, seemed way too excited, as if he already knew something.

"You're very tense, dear," Hannibal commented, stirring the pot.

"Because I know that girl, Hannibal," Will grumbled. "She's going to introduce us to this boyfriend, and I know there's something wrong."

Hannibal merely raised an eyebrow. "Let’s see, then."

The doorbell rang. Nicholas ran to open the door before anyone else.

"Oh, shit."

Will closed his eyes for a moment before facing the scene in front of him.

There, standing at the door, was Ghostface. The iconic mask, the black robe. He was holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Hi, Mr. Graham. Mr. Lecter." The voice was muffled by the mask.

Will felt his eye twitch. "Misha."

She appeared next to Ghostface, smiling with all the innocence in the world. "Dad, Hannibal, this is Danny. My boyfriend."

Hannibal, to Will’s complete horror, smiled.

"Charming."

Nicholas was holding back laughter, glancing between their parents. Will was still in shock.

"You… you brought Ghostface to my house?" Will finally managed to say. "HE’S WEARING A MASK, MISHA!"

Danny, at least, seemed to realize the problem. With a sigh, he removed the mask, revealing a young man with messy hair and a somewhat nervous smile.

"I just wanted to make a good first impression," he murmured.

Will ran a hand down his face. This wasn’t happening.

"Well, since we're all introduced… why don't we have dinner?" Hannibal suggested, leading them to the table.

Danny looked around with interest. "Wow, this house is really elegant."

"Yes," Misha smiled. "Especially considering the number of bodies that have passed through here."

Danny laughed. "Hah, good joke."

Hannibal just smiled, and Will felt his stomach turn.

"Yeah… joke, sure," he muttered.

Nicholas nudged Danny. "Hey, have you ever actually killed someone?"

"NICHOLAS!" Will nearly shouted.

Misha just rolled her eyes. "Ugh, Dad, don't exaggerate. Danny just pretends to kill people. It's his thing. You and Hannibal do way worse all the time."

Will blinked, processing that sentence. That did not help at all.

Hannibal, however, seemed interested. He tilted his head at Danny. "So, you enjoy horror? Fascinating."

Danny swallowed. "Uh… yeah. It’s… fascinating."

Hannibal smiled. Nicholas looked at Will, who was gripping his fork like a weapon.

Dinner continued, with Will staring at Danny like a predator ready to pounce. Misha, however, was having the time of her life.

And Danny? Well… he was starting to suspect he had made a huge mistake.
