Summary
After being told he’s “lower than a dog,” Nice decides he’s had enough of life’s expectations, disappointments, and himself. Suicide seems like the only logical conclusion until his attempt is rudely interrupted by a man yelling for ‘help’.
That man, Lin Ling, a nobody stuck on a billboard support beam after spectacularly botching his own suicide attempt. Instead of apologizing, he makes an offer.
“What do you think of a double-suicide?”
Or: Lin Ling jumps to death earlier before Nice arrives. But he fails and ends up interrupting Nice instead, because why be miserable when you can be miserable together?

Aren’t these heavily regulated by the Ministry?” The entire stock of Time-Turners lining the shelves in the Time Room were currently caught in an endless loop of tumbling, reversing back to their original positions & falling again. As far as he knew, there hadn’t been any further production of them & it was also highly illegal to keep one past the allotted period. Hermione had once revealed to him that a fair number of Unspeakables involved in the study of time magic were still rather peeved over this.
