The world he fell to all those years ago felt like a fever dream, one Sonic never wanted to wake from. Sadly, he knew all good things must come to an end. Despite all the years he’s lived, all the things he’s seen and done, there was still a spark of hope in him that the end would come to relieve him of all his sins.
And thankfully, he was right. Right as he found the Gaia shard he’d been looking for all these years, he came for him. As was expected.
With the end nearing, Sonic couldn’t help the guilt, the pain, and even the relief he felt as he finally, finally got rid of that human virus that wouldn’t leave him alone. That turned him into a monster…
Only, there he was, waking up over a century later with familiar faces and an unknown language to boot.
