Hen sees Buck alone in the locker room. She wants to see him before shift starts, so heads in and welcomes him back.
Buck explains nobody else acknowledged his presence. She is not surprised. Bobby is the Captain and the other firefighters follow his lead.
But not her. She has her own rhythm. She wants to acknowledge Buck's return.
“Red velvet,” Hen announces, handing him a small white box. It's tradition to have cake, even if it's hidden from view. "It bleeds when you cut it,” she adds.
Buck laughs. “I missed you guys.”
Hen knows. She missed him too.
