Summary
Jayce fears what could have happened if he hadn’t been at the beach that day. He wouldn’t have met Viktor, that’s certain. But even worse is that Viktor might have died. Of course, there’s always the possibility that someone else would have spotted him, dragged him out from the ocean, held him on his side as the man coughed to expel the water from his lungs. But then again, there’s the chance that Viktor would have sunk into the depths, too far from Zaun for there to be hope of rescue, unable to move enough to keep his lungs from filling with water.
One fateful day at the beach changes Jayce's life forever when he spots a merman struggling in the water and instantly dives in to save him.
