Work Text:

"Help me, Ariadne." Theseus said "I swear on River Styks I'll honor you as I've never done to anyone else." Ariadne looked at his ocean blue eyes. His eyes made her feel peaceful. His love trembled her hearth. She slowly gave him a rope "Find your way with this." Theseus took the rope and gave her a soft kiss on her forehead.

Ariadne understood. She understood why she can't trust a demigod. They are too selfish and smart to be trusted. Theseus tricked her making it look easy.

She ran to the beach watching Theseus' ship going far away. She screamed "You told me I'm special! You told me you love me!", sat on the burning sands of Island Naxos. He left her. Tears came down on her face. She understood that's the same ocean that gives her peace and drown her. Her hearth burned with anger, she drew her silver digger and stabbed it in the sand.

She sat there until the sunset "Hey," someone spoke behing her. She turned around and saw a stranger looking messy. He smelled like wine. Ariadne felt the power of him. She took the digger and spoke agressively "What do you want?" He took a step back "Nothing!" Either of them said nothing for a minute. Then stranger talked again "Can I sit?" Ariadne laughed bitterly "No." she said shortly.

The man sighed "I'm Dionysus and I just want to help you." Ariadne borowed and mumbled "Sorry..." He got closer to her and sat on the sand watching the sunset.

When he spoke again his voice was firm "The thing Theseus did was unforgivable. He behaved selfish," he stopped for a while "Actually, all the children of Poseidon usually behave selfish." Ariadne didn't answer him but couldn't help tears to go down on her face. Dionysus hestitated but then slowly hold Ariadne's hand. She let her hand to stay in his. "But I can give you power." he said. Ariadne pulled her hand with an anger in her eyes and turned to him "Are you kidding me?! Theseus told the same thing, then do you know what happened? He left me on this island-" Dionysus intrupted her "I won't let you down." He looked her in the eye "I love you. Just give me your hand, I'll take you to Olympos. You'll be my wife as a godness." said he reaching out for her hand. Ariadne looked at his eyes, saw nothing else love unlike Theseus. She hestitated but finally wiped her tears and hold his hand.

Dionysus smiled "Theseus will die one day but you will always stand tall as my wife." Ariadne smiled after a very long time.

Theseus was looking at the sunset. He was already done with all the work in ship. Altough he had a huge crew he was of course able to do all the work of a ship as a child of Poseidon. He smiled with the thought of his admirable will on ship. Then, his favorite guy from the crew, Dimitri came closer to him with a worried face.

"Where's Ariadne?" he said to Theseus. Theseus didn't stop smiling. "I don't know, I think I forgot her on Naxos." He looked at Theseus ununderstandingly and burrowed. "What... do you mean?"

Theseus sighed and held his shoulder. "Dimitri, do you know, why did I want to come hear to fight minatour?" He continued without waiting him to respond "Because I needed it."

"I went there because I had to make my father proud. I wrote a history in Labirynth. My dear father, Poseidon will take the crown he always deserved and I'll be a God..." he stopped and stared at the black sails he has been sure about before they set off and Dimitri fallowed his glance. "But first, I should be the King."

Dimitri couldn't believe what he heard, the moment he had a surprise look on his face, he felt a sharp pain on his back and his glance froze. That was the last thing he felt. Theseus took his sword off and looked around to see if anyone witnessed what happened. When he was sure there is nobody around he pushed Dimitri off the ship

"I was so hopeful on you, boy... You dissapointed me..."
