High King Danny meets Kon and Bizarro at the meeting for peace and is happy to see healthy clones/Mirrorborns. He doesn't like how Superman treats Kon as an asset and not a son or even coworker and surprise adopts Kon before kicking the living out of his castle. Ellie had destabilized only a month before and Danny is still in mourning, so he has feelings about clone treatment.
Danny also gives Jason and Bizarro dual citizenships so they can get healthcare from Frostbite. Jason for his weak and sick core, Bizarro for clone health and wellness.
Notes:
- 'City Spirits with their Hero' in the invention means the Sentient city spirits and the Neverborn entity that represents their hero that lives in the Infinite Realm's version of that city. For Sir/Lady Gotham, they would have a Batman made of shadows and a Robin that switches between the different ones or is a mix of them all. Sir/Lady Metropolis would have a Super that changes between the different ones. Etc..
- A black trimmed letter was used in the Victorian era to show mourning. A thinker line for someone like a child and a thinner line for a cousin. Link
Danny uses it along with the black wax seal to show he is mourning Ellie and his other clone kids, he couldn't properly mourn them when he was still in the Living Realm because of all the ghost 'attacks' and he didn't know how ghosts did it in the first place. It wasn't until he became king that he learned traditions and the culture he rules.
- The time he mourns is 3 months of his Living Realms time and 3 of his Infinite Realms time, totaling 6 months as is custom for parents. Link 2
Amity Park's time is a lot slower than the Infinite Realms. The reason all the ghost 'attacks' happened so often and all in a year of cannon time is because for the ghosts several weeks or months had passed between their visits. The Ancients like Overgrowth and Vortex thought a year had passed between their individual visits. It wasn't until things got explained that the ghosts all apologized and Danny had Clockwork make different Realm time zone clocks to hang around the office part of the castle.
- If Ellie had lived, she would have become the leader of all Mirrorborn/clones. She would guide them in the afterlife to reincarnation, comfort them, and/or let them join in her travels to see the worlds/Realms and get the chance to age before they reincarnate to get a second chance at life.
- Danny refused to let anyone not a Mirrorborn take Ellie's place and took care of those souls himself as well as the soul/coreless 'perfect clone' Vlad eventually made. He was deeply affected by the loss of his own children and Vlad's actions making them but he was affected by the fact he couldn't mourn them the most. No one living would understand because how would he, a teen boy, explain the clones without explaining being a Halfa? That he saw them as his children made without his consent when he was kidnapped and drugged? He couldn't.
All he could do was make a grave marker for each of them that he would visit often, they deserved a grave even if he didn't get one himself. When he became High King he would wear a chatelaine Link 3 on his belt with a charm for each of them and a real name he gave them, they would never be known by their serial number Vlad gave them.
Danny named the 'Perfect clone' Dante and visits him often in Frostbite's lab at the castle. He is just a husk currently but they hope enough time in the Infinite Realms will let a core grow (or he could be a new body for Dark Danny if the writer goes that route.)
- Constantine is losing his goddamn mind being surrounded by all the demons and beings he sold his soul to and shoving Superman into a portal home so he doesn't start anything when Danny takes Kon. He wants to leave right god damn now and deal with Superman's parenting issues later and in a calm meeting where Batman can deal with most of it! (He is secretly happy for the kid that someone wants him as a son and will treat him like one, but he won't ever say that out loud of Superman would hear it.)
- Jason has to be the one to tell Tim that the king of the dead took Kon and suffer the consequences of being the only one that is able to travel between Realms for his appointments with Frostbite. Tim will make Jason take him along to see Kon no matter what he has to do to make him agree.
Tim is feral for his friends and the last time he lost Kon didn't go well. (He isn't ready for all of the baby clones waiting for him from that but is happy their kids are growing well in the afterlife. His and his totally platonic and just a friend's kids, totally something a 'friend' would do in a normal situation. (Tim is in denial of feelings and Danny finds it cute so he lets Tim enter the Realm. If he didn't grant permission the death radiation would probably give him ghost cancer or something.)
- Due to the Infinite Realms seeing all timelines and realities, Danny doesn't know right away if Kon is from the new 52 reality or not, where clones are treated like scum on Krypton and his name means 'abomination'. After Kon learns which reality is his he asks Danny to go to the point in the new 52 timeline where that Kon dies and send him for reincarnation into a happier life. (He could be put in the perfect clone or have Clockwork de-age him into a baby ghost so they (+Tim) can raise them with a better home life.)
