Chapter Text
It was obvious from the very beginning. That the two newborns were tethered to each other.
The invisible bond keeping them together, the close proximity of them uncanny. The tubies starting to cry whenever the other was moved elsewhere, the distance between them growing.
And so, the only option remaining, was for their caretakers not to separate the two.
“I have never seen anything like this.”
“The bond is certainly strong between them.”
The Kaminoan scientists were confused at best.
But those few Jedi having come to visit the nursery after hearing the rumours of the two unique clones being born, knew better than not to comment. As these two clones, were Force sent. An ancient prophecy not many in the Jedi Order knew about. But those who did, Yoda among them, kept it a secret from the rest of them.
“You will treat them well, as these two are special.”
Yoda wasn’t asking, rather telling the scientist in charge, Nala Se what needed to happen.
Being adamant in the fact the clone babies would get a good start in their lives. As these two, were indeed, special. It bore repeating. In the Force, Master Yoda could see the two newborns were more than the other clones even if Yoda could easily sense them all inside of the life giving connection. The many million souls of them. All unique, in their own way.
But a rare pair these two were for sure. More so than any other.
“Yes, Master Yoda.”
“Thank you, Mistress Nala Se.”
A promise Yoda was going to hold the scientist to.
Yoda remained by the cribs of the two babies for a moment longer.
The markings only Yoda could identify as to what the two babies really were visible on both their shoulders. The babies cooing gingerly while close to each other, eliciting a soft smile on the Jedi Master.
“I see great things in your future.” Yoda spoke in hushed tones to the tubies.“I will watch over you two.” Yoda lowered his voice further, making a promise to the Force he swore to keep as well. “As long as I draw breath, I will make sure no harm will come to you.”
The two clone tubies eyes honed in on the Jedi Master, staring at him like they knew what Yoda was telling them. And perhaps, they really did. They were special after all.
