Chapter Text
“Rex, we’ve got word of another shipment of clones en route to the mines.” Gregor notified Rex, having gotten the intel from Echo and the Bad Batch.
“How soon and where?”
“One rotations, two systems from our base.”
“Cutting close to home eh?”
“Indeed.”
“Alright, get a team together. Notify me when it’s done.”
Gregor turned to leave, but hovered there for a moment.
Rex was deep into his pads again, like he usually was these days when he wasn’t running amok in the galaxy rescuing clones and whatnot. Rubbing his head, the signs all there for his friend to read.
“When was the last time you slept, Rex?”
Rex sighed, his gaze back on Gregor. Thinking hard.
“Two days ago? Three maybe?”
“Look, Rex, there are plenty of us here now to pull our share. You can rest too, Rex.”
“Heh, I will rest when the fight is over, Gregor.”
Gregor did not argue, knowing it was moot to do so with Rex. The one more stubborn than perhaps the rest of them were. Besides, they were all guilty of self neglect for sure. But Rex certainly among the worst. Them all making sure their fearless leader was eating and having his caf if nothing more.
“Sure, Rex.”
With that Gregor was gone, leaving Rex to his pads, going trough the plethora of plans the rebels were trying to implement, whether a mission op or a settlement for the rescued clones, helping out old friends too. It was all there, in the plans.
Gregor only hoping Rex would at least take a nap, knowing the man would want to go on the mission again. Rex usually did. Not that Gregor could really blame him for it.
But that did not mean Gregor did not worry for his friend either.
