Summary
When she'd been younger, optimistic and naive, Nancy would have called it bullshit- the way they were pretending. But now she saw the truth, that sometimes the little lies were all you had, even if you couldn't fool yourself into believing them. Because reality was a luxury only afforded by those who didn't have people counting on them.
