Work Text:
So, did you finally move house?
Mingyu receives this text one afternoon after returning from work. He’s somewhat exhausted after rehearsing in the big HYBE building—his muscles ache from the endless choreography run-throughs, and his throat feels dry from singing over and over again. Still, as he kicks off his sneakers at the entrance of his new apartment, he guesses he has just enough energy left to reply.
Yeah, we could say I'm done with moving.
He types on his phone while looking around. The new apartment is still somewhat empty; there are boxes stacked against the walls, some half-open, revealing a mix of clothes, books, and random trinkets he hasn’t found a place for yet. It’s not quite ready, but at least it already has his big blue couch—a non-negotiable item in his living space—and also a coffee table that currently holds nothing but a couple of water bottles and a random charger. The dining area is set up with a small table and a couple of chairs, enough for now, though the room still feels too spacious compared to their old place.
Great! You moved alone?
Ah…
Nope.
Of course not. Min could never leave his beloved hyung behind. He moved with Wonwoo to this new condo, and naturally, Won has been busy fixing up his gamer bedroom. The new space is different from the one they had before—it’s larger, the lighting is different, and the walls have a fresh coat of paint that makes the room feel unfamiliar—but Wonwoo still managed to arrange his desk just the way he likes it. His monitors are already set up, glowing faintly in the dim light, and Mingyu even helped him put his chair back together after they took it apart for the move. He also lent a hand in organizing the tangled mess of cables that always seem to multiply whenever Wonwoo sets up his gaming station.
Besides, they both spent a good part of the afternoon setting up their new shared closet in another room of the large apartment, trying to figure out the best way to fit both their wardrobes without it turning into a chaotic mess.
Mmm... Can I come visit you? I want us to film something together.
Gyu gets a little nervous. It’s no secret that Wonu likes solitude much more than being surrounded by people, and maybe three in the same house is already a crowd. The best thing Mingyu can do is go ask him. He sighs, slipping his phone into his pocket as he walks down the hall, his socks barely making a sound against the wooden floor. The layout of the apartment is still new to him, but he’s already memorized the way to Wonwoo’s new gamer room—it’s right at the end of the hall, past a few unopened boxes and a half-assembled bookshelf they had yet to finish.
When he reaches the door, he peeks inside. Wonwoo is sitting behind his computer, completely immersed in whatever is on his screen. His fingers rest lightly on the keyboard, and the soft clicking of a mouse is the only sound filling the room.
"Do you mind if a friend comes over?" Mingyu asks, leaning against the door frame.
Wonwoo barely glances at him at first, but then he adjusts his glasses, pushing them up from where they had slipped down the bridge of his nose.
"No... It's okay. Who's coming?" he asks, his voice as neutral as ever.
Mingyu grins, already tapping away on his phone again.
"Jungkook."
Wonwoo lets out a small yawn, stretching his arms above his head before settling back into his chair. It’s hard to tell if he cares much, but at least he’s not protesting.
"Oh, okay," he says, his voice still modified by his yawn as he stretches his arms above his head, his fingers briefly brushing against the back of his chair.
Sure! We can film at my house.
Mingyu replies to Jungkook, his fingers moving quickly across the screen. He barely has time to lock his phone before another notification pops up, flooding his screen with details. A video with a quick tutorial for the “Seven” challenge—of course. Gyu had almost forgotten that his friend had just released a new song. With all the chaos of moving and rehearsing, he hadn’t had the time to properly keep up, but now that he thinks about it, the choreography had been all over social media lately.
Also, I think we should use matching outfits. What do you have on hand?
JK’s next message makes Mingyu glance up, his eyes naturally drifting toward the large walk-in closet that takes up nearly half of his room. It’s been a work in progress ever since they moved in—rows of neatly hung clothes, stacks of folded sweaters, and an alarming number of jackets still stuffed in bags waiting to be organized.
Uh... I don't know, I actually have a lot of clothes...
Mingyu mutters to himself as he steps into the space, running his hands over a few hangers. What clothes would go well with the song? His mind is blank for a moment, so he pulls out his phone and quickly searches for the cover of Jungkook’s BTS single. The dominant colors are black and white—classic, simple, and definitely something he has in his wardrobe.
How about a black t-shirt and white pants?
Mingyu sighs, already anticipating the teasing that would’ve come if Jungkook had decided to keep going. He turns back to his closet, flipping through the rows of pants on the bottom rack. Dark wash jeans, leather pants, sweatpants in almost every shade imaginable… but no white pants. Neither he nor Wonwoo seemed to own any.
I don't have any white pants…
He barely finishes typing when another message pops up.
Why don't you have any white pants? Ah, never mind… Do you have any light-colored ones?
He finally spots them—light beige pants neatly folded near the bottom of the stack. He pulls them out and holds them up to the mirror, tilting his head slightly as he imagines the final outfit. Not a bad combination, actually.
Beige! I have some in that color.
As he waits for another text, he pulls out a black t-shirt and tosses it onto his bed. His eyes scan the shelves above, where a few accessories are lined up. A black hat catches his attention, followed by a vest in the same color—both subtle, but stylish enough to add some extra flair. He shrugs and grabs them as well.
"These should work," he mutters to himself.
Great! I have some in that color too. See you later—rehearse in the meantime.
Mingyu rolls his eyes, but he will do it. He knows Jungkook too well—if he doesn’t rehearse now, JK will definitely tease him about it later. Besides, this whole thing is important to his friend. After doxxing himself in the dumbest way possible, Jungkook had suddenly found himself with millions of fans flooding to follow his TikTok, despite never having posted anything before. So now, he wanted to make an official launch with a video—one that featured none other than one of his best friends.
It was a smart move, really. Jungkook was a perfectionist, and Mingyu had no doubt that their video needed to be flawless.
For Min, the best thing is to rehearse without his challenge outfit because he usually sweats a lot, and he knows he’d feel uncomfortable afterward. Instead, he sticks to his usual sweatpants and a loose t-shirt—the kind of outfit he wears when he’s just lounging around at home. He pulls up the tutorial video that Jungkook had sent him and heads to the living room, where there’s enough space to practice properly.
The choreography isn’t too hard, but still, he repeats the steps over and over again, his brows furrowing in concentration as he watches himself in the reflection of the dark TV screen. He steps, pivots, and shifts his weight, trying to get everything just right. His body naturally falls into the rhythm of the song, and soon, the words start spilling from his lips without him even realizing.
"Monday,
Tuesday,
Wednesday,
Thursday,
Friday,
Saturday,
Sunday..."
From his gamer bedroom, Wonwoo can hear the repetition—again and again, the same part of the song playing on loop. At first, he doesn’t mind. Mingyu always gets like this when he’s trying to perfect something, and Wonu has grown used to the sound of his rehearsals over the years. But after hearing the same section for what feels like the hundredth time, he finally sighs, pushes back his chair, and decides to investigate.
When he steps into the living room, he finds Mingyu still lost in the choreography, moving with determination, completely oblivious to anything else. A small, amused smile tugs at Wonwoo’s lips—Min looks so focused, so into it, that it’s honestly kind of cute.
Mingyu only notices him when he finally turns, catching sight of Wonu just standing there, watching. He laughs at himself, slightly out of breath, and quickly pauses the video tutorial.
"Sorry, I have to learn this before Jungkook gets here," he explains, running a hand through his slightly damp hair.
Wonwoo just nods, the small smile still lingering on his face.
"I found it weird that you were repeating the same part of that song so many times," he says with a chuckle. But he understands. He’s known Mingyu long enough to recognize how seriously he takes these things. So instead of retreating back to his room, he steps closer and watches the tutorial video a couple of times himself.
While Mingyu heads to the kitchen to grab some water, Wonwoo quietly studies the choreography, trying to remember the steps. It’s not that difficult—it’s actually a pretty simple part of the routine—but he knows Mingyu. With him, it’s all about putting in the effort, making sure everything is perfect. It’s all or nothing.
By the time Min returns, Wonwoo casually mimics the steps, testing the movements with a level of ease that makes Mingyu groan dramatically.
"Are you serious? You picked it up that fast?"
Wonwoo just smirks, adjusting his glasses.
"Maybe you're just overthinking it."
Mingyu huffs but grins anyway—because if anything, this just makes him even more determined to get it right.
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Jungkook arrives a while later at the location Mingyu sent him on KakaoTalk, following the map until he reaches the entrance of the building. As soon as the elevator doors slide open on their floor, he finally meets his friend—who is practically dressed the same as him.
JK hadn’t thought about the need to bring someone else, but now that he’s here, it hits him—they definitely need someone to film them. Trying to balance a phone against a random object or using a tripod wouldn’t give them the dynamic angles they wanted. So…
"Hyung! Can you help us film?" Min asks, turning toward Wonwoo, who is lounging on the couch, scrolling through his phone.
Wonwoo looks up, adjusting his glasses before nodding quickly. "Yeah, sure."
"Where are we going to film?" Won asks as he takes Mingyu’s phone in his hands, automatically unlocking the camera app.
"I was thinking we could film it in the parking lot," Mingyu suggests. It’s the best option—spacious, private, and more importantly, empty at this time of night.
So the three of them head toward the elevator, descending to the lowest floor where the building’s parking lot is located. As expected, no cars are coming in anymore, and the place is quiet except for the occasional hum of the fluorescent lights overhead. It’s a spot where they can blast music without disturbing any neighbors, and the smooth concrete floor is perfect for dancing.
They spend a few minutes scouting for the best spot to film, making sure the lighting is decent. Wonwoo, ever the perfectionist, angles Mingyu’s phone and adjusts the exposure settings, ensuring the video quality will be top-notch. Meanwhile, JK and Min rehearse the choreography a few more times, shaking off any last-minute nerves.
By this time, Won has already learned the chorus of the song and the challenge steps—after hearing it on repeat all evening, it was inevitable. But he still has no intention of appearing in the video. Unlike Jungkook and Mingyu, who are dressed in their matching outfits, he’s still in his usual casual wear—sweatpants and an oversized hoodie, making it clear he’s only here as the cameraman.
Once they’re ready, Jungkook sets up his phone to play the song. Wonwoo positions himself, steadying his hands before hitting record.
He can’t help it—his gaze naturally focuses on Mingyu, as does the camera. Even when Min forgets a step midway through the choreography and abruptly stops dancing, Wonwoo keeps filming him out of habit, completely ignoring the fact that Jungkook is still moving flawlessly beside him.
Mingyu blinks, realizing his mistake, and lets out a sheepish laugh. "Ah, damn."
Wonwoo chuckles behind the camera, his small giggle slipping out unintentionally. That’s when Jungkook finally notices something is off—he spins around mid-step, raising an eyebrow at the two of them.
"What happened?" JK asks, looking between them.
Mingyu scratches the back of his neck, embarrassed. "I... forgot the steps."
Wonwoo just shrugs, still smirking. "I was filming you anyway."
Jungkook rolls his eyes but laughs along with them. "Okay, let’s do it again. This time, no mistakes."
For the second take, everything runs smoothly. In one perfect shot, they nail the routine, their movements perfectly in sync. Wonwoo saves both versions anyway, and later, when Jungkook reviews the footage, he decides to add the first failed attempt as a blooper at the end of his challenge video.
"Should we go get something to drink?" Jungkook asks, feeling satisfied with their work and eager to celebrate before properly launching his TikTok account.
Mingyu hesitates for a second, glancing at Wonwoo as if asking for permission.
"Yeah, okay, go…" Wonwoo waves them off with a lazy smirk. "Mingyu, you know what I like." His teasing tone makes Gyu roll his eyes, but he can’t help laughing.
"Yeah, yeah, I got you, Hyung."
Jungkook and Mingyu head to the convenience store closest to the building, their energy still buzzing from the filming session. They don’t forget to grab makgeolli—Wonwoo’s favorite—as well as soju, beers, and a selection of fried foods to enjoy for the night.
Looks like the little challenge video had turned into an excuse for a full-on hangout.
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Jungkook released another single, and Mingyu and Wonwoo know exactly what that means.
The success of the Seven challenge had set high expectations, and since fans absolutely loved seeing the two '97 liners dancing together, JK wasted no time in messaging Min. This time, the challenge would be for 3D, and of course, Mingyu was up for it.
The dance seemed much easier this time—more fluid, relaxed, but undeniably sexy. As soon as the tutorial video dropped, Min and Wonu sat together on the couch, analyzing every movement. Wonwoo watched with a neutral expression while Mingyu tilted his head, lips slightly pursed in concentration.
“It’s not that hard, right?” Min muttered, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
Wonwoo shrugged, replaying the section of the video where the key moves repeated. “Depends on how clean you want it to look. But yeah, it’s manageable.”
So, as always, Wonu helped him rehearse. He wasn’t one to dance seriously, but he could remember steps well enough to guide Mingyu, watching carefully to point out any timing issues or small missteps. And since both JK and Mingyu had agreed to match their outfits again, they had already planned the look: black boots, a white t-shirt, a black cap, jeans, and a denim jacket. Simple, yet stylish.
By the time everything was ready, Jungkook arrived—alone, once again. He had considered bringing someone to help film, but in the end, he respected the home that Min and Wonu had created. It was their space, and he wouldn’t impose without asking.
As soon as he stepped inside, JK wasted no time. “Wonwoo hyung can help us film, right?”
Mingyu smirked, already knowing the answer, and nodded. “Of course.”
And just like before, the three of them headed down to the parking lot, the same familiar setting where their last video had been filmed. It was quiet, empty, and the perfect place to avoid unwanted attention.
Mingyu handed his phone to Wonwoo, ready to start recording—but then, Wonu furrowed his brows.
“Ah, Mingyu, your camera doesn’t focus.”
Mingyu blinked. “Huh? What do you mean?”
It took him a second to remember. Right. His phone had taken serious damage in Budapest while filming the music video for Seventeen’s comeback. The back of his iPhone was completely shattered, and the camera had been unreliable ever since.
“Let me see,” he said, stepping closer to Wonu to check the screen. Jungkook waved his hand in front of the camera, but the image remained frustratingly blurry.
“Nope, it’s useless,” Wonwoo confirmed.
Jungkook clicked his tongue. “Damn. I didn’t bring my tripod either.”
Wonwoo, ever the problem-solver, simply pulled out his own phone. “I’ll film it with mine.”
Mingyu smiled at him, grateful as always. “Thanks, hyung.”
This time, Wonu decided to step up his cameraman game. Instead of just standing still, he moved with the dance, mimicking the choreography slightly to add better motion effects. It made the video look more dynamic, more immersive—plus, it was honestly more fun for him this way.
Once they wrapped up filming, Wonwoo sent the clips to JK, who immediately reviewed them, nodding in approval.
And just when Mingyu thought they would have to make another store run for drinks, Jungkook grinned mischievously.
“This time, we don’t have to go buy anything. I already brought them.”
Mingyu turned to look as Jungkook opened the back door of his car, revealing a stash of alcohol and snacks.
“I even brought makgeolli for Wonwoo hyung,” JK added, holding up one of the bottles with a proud smile.
Wonwoo chuckled at that. “Well, I can’t say no to that.”
Just as they were about to head upstairs, Jungkook’s phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID before answering casually.
“Hello? Oh, Dongmin! … Yeah, I’m here with Wonwoo and Mingyu… Do you want to come?”
At that, JK glanced at the other two, silently asking for their approval. Mingyu and Wonwoo exchanged a brief look—one of those silent conversations only them could have—before nodding simultaneously.
“Yes, you should come,” Jungkook said, already typing out the location to send. “We’re just hanging out. I’ll see you soon.”
And with that, another friend was added to the impromptu gathering at Min and Wonu’s apartment.
Back upstairs, the atmosphere was relaxed. The suju, beer, and makgeolli put everyone in a good mood, and Mingyu set up his iPad, connecting it to the apartment’s audio system. The music played at a reasonable volume—loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud that the neighbors would complain.
By the time Dongmin arrived, he took a moment to look around, observing the details of the apartment. The warm lighting, the neatly arranged furniture, the subtle but cozy atmosphere. His gaze lingered near the window, where a loquat tree stood in a simple pot.
“You got a loquat tree?” Dongmin asked, raising an eyebrow.
Mingyu grinned, stepping up beside him. “Yeah, cool, right? I put it there for some extra greenery.”
Everyone sits on the floor, settling into the cozy atmosphere of the apartment. The coffee table, which barely fits in what they consider their living room, is now cluttered with bottles of soju, makgeolli, and beer, along with snacks they picked up earlier. The dim lighting makes the space feel even warmer, and despite the slight mess, it feels like home.
Dongmin and Jungkook sit next to each other, leaning comfortably against the couch, while Mingyu and Wonwoo sit side by side on the other end. At first, the mood is light, the conversation flowing naturally between drinks and laughter. But as the alcohol starts to take effect, their voices grow louder, their gestures more animated, and their words a little more unfiltered.
At one point, Dongmin leans his head back against the couch, exhaling deeply before speaking.
“You know who I miss?” he muses, his words slightly slurred.
Jungkook, already familiar with his friend’s sentimental side when he drinks, smirks knowingly. “Seungkwan.”
Dongmin points at him dramatically. “Exactly.”
Mingyu, who has been nibbling on some chips, perks up at the mention of their friend. “I miss him too.” His lips jut out in a pout, his expression softening as he swirls the drink in his cup.
Wonwoo, always the quiet observer, watches them with an amused smile but says nothing. He knew this was bound to happen—alcohol always had a way of making people more sentimental.
“We should call him!” Dongmin suddenly announces, his excitement bubbling up as he fumbles for his phone. Without waiting for anyone’s input, he starts scrolling through his contacts, searching for Seungkwan’s number.
Mingyu and Jungkook exchange glances, already grinning in anticipation. They all knew Seungkwan probably wouldn’t expect a drunk call from them at this hour, but that just made it more fun.
Dongmin finally finds the contact and presses the call button, putting the phone on speaker. The line rings once, twice—three times—before there’s a soft click, followed by a groggy voice.
“Hello?” Seungkwan answers, his tone thick with sleep.
“SEUNGKWAN!”
Mingyu, Dongmin, and Jungkook yell his name in perfect sync, their excitement filling the room. On the other end of the line, there’s a brief pause before Seungkwan lets out a tired chuckle.
“What is this?” he mutters, still half-asleep but already smiling.
“I miss you, Seungkwan,” Dongmin says, leaning in closer to the phone. His words are slow and exaggerated, as if to emphasize just how much he means it.
Jungkook laughs, immediately jumping in. “But I miss you more, Seungkwan.”
Mingyu, not about to be left out, dramatically clutches his chest. “No, no… I miss Seungkwan the most.”
Wonwoo watches the three of them, shaking his head with a fond smile as they continue their ridiculous back-and-forth.
The conversation soon turns into a chaotic competition of who misses Seungkwan the most, their voices overlapping in a mix of exaggerated whining and heartfelt declarations.
“Seungkwan, you should be here drinking with us,” Dongmin insists.
“Yeah, why didn’t you come? You don’t love us anymore?” Jungkook teases, his words dragging slightly.
Seungkwan, now more awake, laughs on the other end of the call. “You guys are so drunk, oh my god.”
“Noooo,” Mingyu slurs. “We’re just full of love.”
“You should drink with us! Right now!” Dongmin suggests, his excitement only growing.
Seungkwan sighs dramatically. “It’s past midnight! And I was sleeping!”
The three drunk friends groan in unison, making exaggerated noises of disappointment.
After a few more rounds of “I miss you,” and a final attempt to convince Seungkwan to teleport to their apartment, they finally let him go.
Seungkwan chuckles. “You guys have fun. Try not to be too loud, or your neighbors will hate you.”
With that, the call ends, leaving Mingyu, Jungkook, and Dongmin still giggling to themselves.
Seungkwan, however, is now wide awake. He stares at his phone for a moment before stretching, letting out a long yawn. It’s late, but it’s also the weekend, and he knows his fans are probably still awake.
Without much thought, he grabs his iPad, sets it up on his desk, and opens the live-streaming app.
“Since I’m awake anyway,” he mutters to himself, before hitting the “Go Live” button.
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Hours pass as Mingyu, Wonwoo, Dongmin, and Jungkook continue drinking, their laughter and voices filling the apartment. The conversation flows naturally, moving from lighthearted banter to deep discussions about their experiences as idols—the highs, the lows, and the gossip that perhaps no one outside their circle would ever imagine. They exchange stories of chaotic schedules, behind-the-scenes moments from their tours, and the cultural shocks they’ve encountered during their international events.
Jungkook, always full of energy, has the most to say. Having recently traveled to the United States to film his new music video, he enthusiastically recounts everything—from the long shoot hours to the funny interactions he had with the staff. He gestures animatedly, even reenacting a moment when he accidentally responded in Korean to an American director, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Then, suddenly remembering something, he exclaims, “Ah! I still need to upload the challenge video with Mingyu!”
Pulling out his phone, JK quickly scrolls through his gallery, selects the best take of their dance, and applies his favorite filter. Despite the slight buzz from the alcohol, he works quickly, his fingers moving with precision. Within minutes, the video is live on his TikTok, and he grins in satisfaction.
Even though they are all tipsy, everything seems peaceful—just four friends enjoying the night. That is, until Mingyu, aimlessly scrolling through his phone, suddenly gasps.
“Ah, Seungkwannie!” he slurs, his drunken excitement making everyone turn toward him.
Wonwoo, who is just as intoxicated but far better at holding his composure, chuckles at Min’s reaction. Jungkook, curious, walks over and peers at Mingyu’s screen.
Seungkwan is live.
Without hesitation, Min starts typing furiously into the chat, his drunken thoughts translating directly into his messages.
Seungkwan, my friends miss you.
They want to see you.
Jungkook, amused, snatches Mingyu’s phone from his hands, laughing as he takes over. Dongmin watches the scene unfold with an entertained smile, while Wonwoo—more subtle in his approach—quietly joins Seungkwan’s live on his own phone.
The chat moves quickly, full of fans leaving comments, but then something unexpected happens—Jungkook starts typing with Mingyu’s profile.
Seungkwan-ah - Jung Kook
I miss you - Jung Kook
Hello, CARATs - Jung Kook
Seungkwan, mid-sentence, suddenly notices the messages flooding his chat. His eyebrows raise in surprise before a slow, knowing smile spreads across his face. “Wait a second… Jungkook? Are you using Mingyu’s account right now?”
The three drunk friends burst into laughter, and Wonwoo shakes his head with a fond sigh.
Seungkwan, already suspecting what’s happening, leans closer to his screen, clearly amused. “Ah, these guys called me earlier, completely wasted,” he tells his viewers, his voice laced with fond exasperation. “And now they’re here causing chaos in my live. What do I do with them?”
But Jungkook isn’t done yet. With a mischievous smirk, he continues typing.
Seventeen is great, right? - Jung Kook
Seventeen is amazing - Jung Kook
Then, just as Seungkwan thinks the spam is over, another message appears.
Seungkwan-ah, I did the 3D challenge with Mingyu - Jung Kook
We did the challenge excellently - Jung Kook
Seungkwan reads the comment on his live and laughs, shaking his head. “I want to do the 3D challenge with Jungkook and Mingyu too,” he teases, adjusting his position in his chair. His tired eyes scan the chat as he continues responding to fans, but then he notices another message from JK.
Just as he’s considering it seriously, another comment appears—this time from someone unexpected.
I filmed them excellently.
Hello.
I filmed all of Mingyu and Jungkook's challenges excellently.
Goodbye.
Seungkwan blinks, momentarily thrown off. His expression shifts from amused to utterly shocked as he rereads the messages. “Wait… Wonwoo?” His tone is disbelieving as he leans in closer to the screen. “Wonwoo, you were there too?!”
He had assumed Mingyu, Jungkook, and Dongmin were together, but Wonwoo? Wonwoo, who hadn’t even spoken during their drunken phone call? That was unexpected.
Mingyu giggles drunkenly at the reaction, his head resting against the couch. His laughter is suddenly interrupted by a loud hiccup, making everyone else burst into laughter.
“We should stop drinking,” he suggests, pressing a hand to his chest as if that will somehow stop the hiccups.
Jungkook and Dongmin exchange a glance before both nodding in agreement. “Yeah, maybe we should,” Dongmin says, stretching his legs out with a tired sigh. “Before we end up calling someone else and causing more trouble.”
Jungkook, who has been relentlessly hogging Mingyu’s phone, finally sets it down with a grin. “But it was fun, right?”
Dongmin lets out a dramatic groan. “Yeah, except I didn’t even get to write anything! You wouldn’t let go of Min’s phone.”
Jungkook only laughs at that, completely unapologetic.
Despite the dizziness creeping in from the alcohol, the night was undeniably fun for everyone. But now, it’s getting late—too late. Even though they’re reluctant to part ways, Dongmin and Jungkook know they should head home.
“Alright,” Jungkook sighs as he pulls out his phone, opening a taxi app. “Let’s get you home,” he tells Dongmin, nudging him playfully.
“Finally,” Dongmin mumbles, pretending to sulk, though his lips curl into a small smile.
As they wait for their rides, the room falls into a comfortable silence, the only sound being the faint hum of the playlist still playing from Min’s iPad. The night had been full of chaos, but it was the kind of chaos they wouldn’t trade for anything.
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
There are no harsh morals in this house—it was all in good fun. The laughter, the teasing, the drunken confessions, everything was simply part of a night none of them would forget anytime soon. It had been a long time since Wonwoo laughed this much, the kind of laugh that made his stomach ache and his eyes water. Mingyu's friends were special to him too, even if he wasn't as vocal about it as Min was.
When Wonwoo finally checks his phone, he notices it's completely filled with selfies and random photos of the others. Some were blurry, some were well-framed, and some were just outright chaotic—Dongmin making a funny face, Jungkook taking an unflattering picture of Mingyu mid-bite, and even a photo of Won himself, clearly unaware that someone had captured him in the middle of laughing. With his camera broken, Min hadn’t been able to document anything himself, so it seemed like the others had taken on the task for him.
As Wonwoo scrolls through the images, he briefly wonders if Mingyu will post anything. Or maybe Jungkook, or even Dongmin. But he isn’t really worried about it. It’s just a passing thought.
Although, it seems that Mingyu had already made an unspoken decision—to keep this night within the walls of their little home. No one posts anything. No Instagram stories, no vague messages hinting at their drunken antics. Nothing. It’s as if the night never happened.
Still, that doesn’t stop the fans from being confused when whispers of the gathering start circulating online.
What do you mean Wonwoo hangs out with the 97-liners?
Since when is that normal?
What do you mean Wonwoo filmed Mingyu and Jungkook's challenges?
For years, fans had known that Wonwoo and Mingyu were practically inseparable, but this? This was new. Apparently, Wonwoo had not only been present but had also taken on the role of their personal cameraman. And the best part? Nobody even asked him to confess that. He could’ve easily remained a silent observer, but no—somewhere between drunken amusement and possessiveness, he decided to reveal the truth himself.
"I filmed all of Mingyu and Jungkook's challenges excellently."
And that’s what made it even funnier. Nobody had even asked him.
Still, it was a small detail that fans tucked away in their hearts, a quiet confirmation that Wonwoo and Mingyu spent a lot of time together—even when the cameras weren’t rolling, even when no one was keeping track.
Time passed, and soon enough, the buzz around the challenges and the 97z hangouts faded into the background. But curiosity is a funny thing, isn’t it?
Because all means all, doesn’t it?
People started questioning Wonwoo’s words. Did he really film all of them? Because when Jungkook and Mingyu first surprised everyone with their casual, impromptu “Super” challenge on a random rooftop—with its blurry quality and Min dancing in sandals and shorts—nobody had thought twice about who had filmed it.
Did Wonwoo also film that video?
And just when curiosity started bubbling again, Mingyu decided to go live, celebrating Seventeen’s Daesang win. What should have been a simple moment of gratitude quickly turned into an interrogation.
"Did Wonwoo also film Jungkook and Mingyu's ‘Seven’ challenge?"
And Mingyu, being Mingyu, didn’t even hesitate before answering.
"Just like when we filmed 'Seven,' we wore matching clothes and asked Wonwoo to film it for us."
And just like that, it was public knowledge.
Wonwoo, ever the unexpected show-stealer, made his own little cameo in Mingyu’s live. He leaned into the frame, casually humming before—without warning—he started singing:
"Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday…"
A smirk tugged at Mingyu’s lips as he turned to look at his friend. “Oh? You know the lyrics?”
Wonwoo simply shrugged. “Hard not to,” he said, voice teasing. “You played it a lot while practicing.”
And just like that, the mystery was solved. But a new thought lingered in the minds of fans—just how many of Mingyu’s moments had Wonwoo quietly been behind the camera for?
