Summary

Summary
He would dream of that life, that simple life he craved— he dreamed of an Al-Haitham with a cushy job with a salary that gave him enough to survive and live leisurely. He dreamed of a house in Sumeru City, with a space of his own not too close to the heart where it was too loud, but not too far where he was isolated from the action. Would he have studied at the Akademiya, if they were just more humane and just, like his parents and grandmother had wanted him to? Would he have a Vision, and what kind? Would he be good at combat and self-defense, someone who would never fall victim to his current circumstance?
And what of Kaveh? Would Kaveh be the architect he told Al-Haitham he had hoped to become, a childhood wish that became more of a what if— from a yesterday only found in his dreams?
Al-Haitham, the one of the here and now, would never get to know.
