Lami knew her brother told her to stay, but it was getting really hot and he wasn't back yet. the noises outside started quiet down there were still screaming but it was all on the far side now. Maybe he was hurt and he needed help. Lami couldn't do much in her state but she had to try.
She made her way out of the cabinet she was put in by her brother to keep her safe,crying a little more at the inferno that greeted her, there was no way she could stay here . she'd have died if she did.
Making her way down the inferno of a hall staying low like law had taught in case of a fire, she passed body after body of people she knew from the hospital her parent had run
the tears came out faster ‘ i don't want to died, i don't want to die’. the smoke was getting worse as she ran causing her to cough more, with the lead already causing her to be tried and scared of death but it was taking a long time she knew it would happen eventually but she never knew when, but now , now she knows it's going to happen but ,she tries to keep running always being a fighter at heart. ‘ i'm a brave girl i can get out , just got to get out and find law and then we can leave and find a way for me to get better it'll be fine’ she doesn't believe it but she continue anyway.
Then a quiet voice came to her ears ‘ this way child, this way, i can help you live free as you were meant to be brave girl’ Lami stops only for a second thinking about what to do, the voice is not a normal voice not like the ones she can hear outside not real ones, no it like the voice of the trees and flower in bloom in the spring, like the voices mother said only those like them could hear.
She turn toward the voice follows it call the best chance she got ‘ yes , there you go come come you are worthy, come be free and help others like you be free, turn left and watch for the hole in the floor good girl brave girl’ the voice is gentle the whole time giving her directions telling her were to be careful and weres safe to rest. Finally after what feels a lot longer than it probably was she come to a supply room that leads outside to the road close to the harbor
The gentle voice come from a box of what looks like food shipment that had been knocked over in the mad dash to flee it looks like, Lami is heaving know having to ran most the way inhaling smoke and grim, her lungs already hurting from the lead in her body she tried to move through the boxes but she was so tried she want sleep and law to cuddle her and make her feel better but still she tries ‘ at a girl, brave girl almost there and there you are sweet brave girl’ just as the gentle voice said that Lami pulled a colorful and swirly fruit from the bunch “ i don't feel brave i feel scared, and sad, and and mad at those people who hurt me and law and i don't want to die” the tear came back with a furry ‘ oh but , brave girl, that is what it is to be brave , its to be scare and unsure but still try, to be brave you must be scared first’ holding the fruit as she wiped her tears the relief and exhaustion hit her hurt.
Her stomach growled ‘ go ahead my dear eat me, i can help you be free as i promise, though i warn you i will not taste good’ Lami hesitated for only a moment then took a bite into the swirly fruit. The bitter tang hit her tongue instantly but she pursued chewing a swallowing it she went in for another but was cut off by the voice again but this time it came from within not the fruit ‘ no my brave girl you did it you don't have to eat more it is already done, sleep my dear i can handle the rest just this once’ sleep did sound nice. She could feel her eyes drooping just as she felt soft petals like things come up and surround her causing her to fall deeper into sleep.
The next time Lami woke up it was to darkness and rocking there were meremers from the outside of her range of sight ‘ shh brave girl they don't know your here, i had to hide you away from the bad men though i'm not sure were they taking us but i know it had to be better then were we where’ Lami nod at that and tried to listen to the other voice on the what seem to be a ship, whos voice that of a gruffer nature but kind nonetheless .it let her know she was safe but unwelcomed.
The voice that threw her off the most was that of mother sea it was anger and would not answer her when ask were they where, it made her sad she always loved the voice of the sea
‘ dont worry child she isn't mad at you, or not really she mad that you ate me but she more mad at the men who made it to where you had to’ that didn't make sense doesn't she understand that she had to, so she could be free ‘ yes she knows which is why she mad that you had to even do that’ a booming voice came after ‘ it shouldn't have happen at all , but one of my beloveds are curse to never swim my water again and let me hold them again just so those vile excuses of “gods” more like devils ,could get rid of some loose ends’ the seas voice was louder then Lami had ever heard it “ i'm sorry” there was tears in Lamis eyes she really was the waves got ruff for only a second until they settled back down ‘ it's not your fault child but unfortunately i can not break the rule , even for one of my most loved ones’ and with that the seas voice disappeared
After the only voice Lami only had the gentle voice as she came to call it and the voice of the ship that told her story of his journeys the actual voices of the men on the ship came out louder as they came closer to the calm belt? ‘ it where the current no longer run and the sea kings roam free’ it sound dangerous law had told her stories of sea kings but it was supposed to be far far away ‘ you slept for a long time my dear’ the reminder of her brother story reminded her that he was not here “where is my brother” she whisper ‘ he is alive, and no need to worry about the sea kings i will make sure you can leave this sea and be able to make it safely to the next, my sister will be able to help you more than i ever could ’ it was the first time the sea had spoken this whole time “ sister?” Lami whisper still worried of being heard even though no one would yet at least ‘ yes i have 4 one for each sea there is, my sister in the east is kindred then most and will help you to someone safe i will watch over your brother for know, you 2 are the last of your family and i will see to it you both make it the best i can quiet now sleep you will need it’ and just like that she was asleep happy to now her brother was still out there.
While Lami slept the gentle voice worked to rid her of the disease that plagued her new host. The technique she used wasn't supposed to be learned yet, supposed to be earned. but this host had done enough and shui like this host more than her last few. She knew this one was worthy, beside she had time she knew the sea sister would have to talk before they could cross safely
Across the wave a spotted boy waiting to die made a deal with a devil.
“ Aegir you do not visit often, what do i owe this pleasure” Mar greeted her sister with a hug knowing the coldest of her sister enjoyed the warmth she gave off “ as much as i would love this to be a pleasant affair unfortunately it is not, im sure you now what has happen in my sea to one of my most beloved islands” Mar had she knew her sister held healer in high regard , favored them and their home more than many other, she was the same with her beloved those who chose freedom over everything else both for themselves and those around them
“ yes unfortunately i have, i'm assuming that why you ask the kings to leave the ship alone?” mar still had her arms around aegir arm trying to give her some comfort before she must leave again but she could since the ship could sense the treasure it held even if said treasure held a curse in it as well. “ yes she is one of the last, her and her brother are the only ones left, i plan to watch over as he has made his way into the hands of devil but i can see a savior in there mist to but this one , this one i can not protect i don't have anywhere i can send her where i know she will be safe, i only hope you may be able to help”
Mar smile at her sister, it is well known among them that mar is the kindest of them taking lost souls and keeping them safe from harm because she is the kindest but not weakest as the devils may think she had some of the biggest name come from her sea and she hold some of the most important treasure both from kai and know from aegir to “ of course i have some place i can send her though it will be rough at first,for she will be house with another secret and our most favored one ” Aegir nodded at that she trust her sister knew the secrets she holds “ thank you, please keep her safe” with that the sister parted with Aegir going up to kiss the cheek of her beloved one last for it will be awhile till she returns to her seas if every.
