Oberon's hand sought out the base of Puck's tail and fire ignited under every inch of his skin, hungrier than when Oberon had touched his wing. Puck had been spending the last week convincing himself the touch had been accidental - he was not stupid, however, because Oberon was not stupid. No fae of any standing would so much as brush against another's wings without an immediate and explosive apology, let alone hold one delicately between their fingers and stroke. Puck had spent so many nights running his fingers down that same edge, trying to bring himself back to that moment. Nothing ever came close.
But this? This blew it out of the water.
