“I can't believe I let you talk me into this terrible idea.” Astra huffs as she shifts on Zari's bed.
“There wasn't really much talking if I recall. And stop moving! I was this close to messing up my nails.”
“That's besides the point. I'm just saying they probably have killed each other by now.” Astra replies, face hot at Zari mentioning their activity together from earlier but she does stop moving.
The “them” Astra was commenting on were Charlie and Spooner. They had both left them alone in Zari's hell mansion with only a puzzle to accompany them. It wasn't a punishment, they could leave any time they wanted. Astra and Z just wanted them to get along.
It wasn't like they both hated each other, they were indifferent at best. They just haven't gotten time to know one another. If they all wanted these relationships to work out it wouldn't hurt if their partners were at least acquainted better.
“If you're so worried then we can go check on them.”
“I am NOT worried about them.” Astra replies in an almost petulant way, all that was missing was her crossing her arms.

After Zari's nails finally dry and her getting fed up with Astra pretending she didn't want to check on them they both finally did.
And the sight they find was unexpected to say the least. Not that they expected much, maybe just to find them with a half finished puzzle simply chatting away casually. Though reality was much better.
A few empty bottles of John's replenishing whiskey laid thrown about. The puzzle lying completed on the the table. The most shocking was the fact that Spooner and Charlie had both shifted to the floor in between the couch and table.
Charlie's body contoured at an awkward angle to bend down enough for her head to rest on Spooner's shoulder, Spooner's head at a cricked angle to rest their head on top of Charlie's as they both slept.
“Aw.” Zari said in a voice that was half sincere and sarcastic, a specialty of hers. As she brought out her phone to take a picture of the two of them.
“They're both going to kill you when they wake up.” Astra chimes in as she directs Zari to another angle to get an even better shot.
