For a surreal moment, the question is a fire alarm. Is McKay asking because Victoria told her that she doesn’t have a boyfriend? She knows she must not be much older than he is, but bristles at the thought; she finished the coursework he must be going through when she was twelve. She thinks of how he chewed on the bottom of his sweater string, like a little boy.
All Victoria wants is to prove she’s the same as any twenty-something third year med student, but she might have more in common with the resident teenaged 72-hour hold patient than she’s willing to admit.

Following on directly from their first meeting in "Everybody has to be my Enemy... Except You", Laudna and Imogen travel and get to know one another over their first three nights together. Delilah Briarwood plots in Laudna's head.
This fic was written between episodes C3E09 and C3E10. It makes many assumptions and is likely all wrong.

Laudna had always had an affinity for broken, discarded things. Sometimes she mended them, sometimes she found the beauty in their brokenness and turned it into something more, sometimes she just loved them as they were. The cracked crockery left behind by some previous inhabitant, she had mended. The broken windows, she had replaced with shards of colored glass carefully pieced together to fill the empty window frames. Imogen, she had loved.
