“Mona!” Charlie's agitated voice calls out.
Their leather jacket in their hands. Holding it out in front of them. Stickers littered the item.
Charlie wasn't that surprised, the newest legend had taken to decorating the ship with stickers. It had went as well as expected, Ray happy sounds at finding the items, Sara and Zari annoyed groans. And Mick half hearted threats of burning them.
Though Charlie seemed to be getting the brunt of it. Why? They weren't sure.
Sounds of footsteps approaching appear behind them. Then footsteps pausing then going the other way, more quietly.
“Freeze little wolf.”
The footsteps turn back into approaching.
“Charlie hey!” Fake nonchalance coating Mona's voice, as if they didn't just try to sneak away.
“Don't hey me, why are there a bunch of stickers covering my favorite jacket?”
It was wild how many stickers covered the thing. They weren't opposed to stickers, their old guitar was plastered with the things but still.
The question changes the woman's mouth into a frown. The down turn of the woman's lips, pulls a sinking feeling down into Charlie's stomach with it.
“I noticed you wear a bunch of pins and I just wanted to make you something to wear too. There's one with a rainbow, ones with pronouns, different queer flags. And even some wolf ones.”
Charlie feels her resolve soften. It was sweet really. She was just trying to connect to them in her own way. Jerk didn't even begin to completely describe the way they were feeling.
Though her and Mona do have a quick discussion about asking before you put stickers on stuff.
If any of the legends saw Charlie walking around proudly with a shit load of stickers covering them everyday. They correctly decided to leave it unmentioned.
