Work Text:
"Happy birthday, Pusheen!" you wish to your chubby gray tabby in a heartfelt and cheerful voice, holding a trio of balloons that you bought her.
The two of you were present in your front yard.
Your cheeks lifted as you tied said balloons over her back and around her belly, pulling tight at the end to form a bunny ears knot at her center.
Pusheen's dimples became tinted with adorable blush buttons when she saw the balloons, and it was all the gratitude you needed as you giggled.
Her cat-like smile came to light as you reached down to gently pat her head.
"You're welcome," you whisper sweetly to your tabby before you turn and head inside to start baking her birthday cake.
Once you're gone, Pusheen's stubby legs begin to leave the grass as she suddenly ascends into the air, excited about the journey she was about to embark on.
...
While floating freely through the atmosphere, Pusheen is approached by her flying, feathered friend, Bo the bird, who holds the right part of a bow that is connected to a gift box in her beak.
With a joyful expression and a blush button on her auricular, Bo holds out the gift to Pusheen as the tabby's mouth turns upward in a grateful smile.
...
As Pusheen continues her sky-high adventure with a smile, a plane passes by her in the background with a towing banner behind it that reads, "Happy Birthday, Pusheen!"
...
The night is illuminated with lively energy by a carnival themed around stars, with the sky being a pastel purple color as dazzling lights flash and flicker all around.
Pusheen takes in the sight of the carnival while floating, her eyes lighting up as starry fireworks explode in the sky.
The gray cat couldn't help but blush when she saw the fireworks. She held the belief that they were meant for her. Could you blame her for such a thought?
After all, today was her birthday, and she truly stood out as a superstar.
...
"Oh, there you are, Pusheen!" you exclaim, wearing a cone-shaped party hat on your head as you stand outside your front door, your precious gray tabby descending down slowly from the sky and into your arms as you delicately catch and hold her.
"Did you have fun today?" you ask her, to which she nods.
You giggle. "That's good. Now come on, birthday girl. Let's head inside."
Turning to look at the front window, Pusheen forms an open mouth smile when she sees the shadow of a tall birthday cake on the table alongside all her friends and family surrounding it.
"Everyone's waiting for you."
