March 18, 2019 Grant-Nash household.
Athena had just gotten off the phone with her mother and she was not happy at all.
When Athena moved to L.A she thought that her mum would change but she was wrong.
Don't get Athena wrong she loves her mother and she knows the woman just worries about her getting hurt or worse killed like her late fiancé Emmett Washington but Athena has told her mother to give her more notice as the woman knows she needs to let her boss know if she needs time off.
Athena grabs her phone,purse and car keys and leaves the house and goes to the fire station as she needs to let her husband know that her parents are coming for at least 2 weeks.
Athena pulls up at station 118 and she gets out the car and locks the door and goes into the station and she sees a few firefighters doing their chores or working out in the gym so she heads up to the loft.
Hen was talking to Eddie and they were deep in conversation so Athena looks around to see if she sees her husband.
“Athena what are you doing here?” Tommy asks.
Athena turns around and she sees Tommy Kinard standing in front of her.
Hen and Eddie look up when they hear Athena's name getting mentioned and they see the police sergeant standing in the middle of the floor.
“Hey Tommy I was looking for Bobby and I thought he would be in the kitchen cooking but looks like not” Athena says.
“No he is in his office dealing with Han” Tommy says.
“What's that man done now?” Athena asks.
“I'll let Bobby tell you but let's just say thank god Buck works with kids rather than working with Han” Tommy says.
“That bad?” Athena asks.
Tommy just gives Athena a look and smirks and walks away.
In Bobby's office.
Chimney was sitting in front of his captain and he was getting the riot act read to him.
“Not only did you disobey an order that was given to you,firefighter Han and you put another firefighter in danger and when said firefighter brought that to my attention you decided to have a go at him and try to physically assault him” Bobby says.
Chimney just sits there and he doesn't says anything.
“Well I'm waiting for you to answer me” Bobby says.
“Bobby, I didn't disobey orders. I knew I had plenty of time to save my patient” Chimney says.
“No firefighter Han you did disobey an order as I told everyone to evacuate the building and the fact that you don't see the problem is very concerning so for this week you are the man behind and also if I were you I would prepare myself for a call from the chief as the firefighter you nearly got killed and tried to hit may be speaking to him and if he does I'm not backing you. Now get out of my office and get to work on your chores” Bobby says.
Chimney leaves Bobby's office and he heads to the locker room and the firefighters in there leave immediately and the last person to leave is Sal Deluca and he stops and turns to face Chimney.
“You know when you started here you were a nice guy but I guess it was all an act as you are really showing us who you are” Sal says and he leaves.
When Athena met Bobby he was a single father raising a 15 year old son and she was a divorced mother of two kids and she was co-parenting with her ex husband where as Bobby was doing it all himself but she and Bobby had met a few times on calls and after a call went bad and someone died and Bobby had asked her if she would go and light a candle for the victim and pray for them she saw that it was harder for him and after she gave him her number and they spent some time off shift together that's when they decided to go out on a date.
After their first date went well they went on a few more and after 6 months together they told their kids and all three kids were happy for them and when Athena met Buck for the first time she immediately knew she was going to love him like she loved Harry and May.
When Bobby met Harry and May he felt the same way Athena felt about Buck and when he met Michael he found a best friend and if Buck needed help with anything that involved the stuff Michael did when he was busy being a contractor he always had time for Buck.
When Bobby and Athena got married they only had May,Harry,Buck and Michael at the ceremony as they didn't want a big wedding.
Eddie and Hen come over and they wonder why she wants to speak to Bobby.
“Hey Athena, is everything ok?” Eddie asks.
“Yeah I just need to speak to my husband that's all” Athena says.
“Bobby should be out soon so until then let's grab some coffee and you can tell me what's got you so annoyed” Hen says.
Both Athena and Hen sit at the table and Eddie brings over three cups of coffee and he gives them to Athena and Hen and he takes a seat at the island and he keeps silent.
“My mother phoned this morning,” Athena says.
“Oh and what did Beatrice want?” Hen asks.
“To tell me that her and my father are coming tomorrow and they are staying at mine for 2 whole weeks” Athena says.
“Wow so she just decided to tell you the day before that she was coming, that's such a classic Beatrice move” Hen says.
Eddie looks between the two women and he feels like he is missing something.
“Not to sound rude but why does your mother coming to see you make you frustrated?” Eddie asks.
“My mother has always had strong opinions and those opinions are always about my life and how I'm doing things wrong” Athena says.
“She sounds like how my mum used to be,” Eddie says.
“So you know how frustrated I am,” Athena says.
“Plus Athena hasn't told her parents about Bobby or Buck” Hen says.
“What” You and Bobby have been together for at least 3 years” Eddie says.
“I know that thank you Eddie” Athena says.
“Sorry I'm not helping” Eddie says.
“No it's true what you say, me and Bobby have been together for three years and I've been a mother to Buck for the same time” Athena says.
“Does Bobby know that you haven't told your parents?” Eddie asks.
“Yes he does and he knows why but I think it hurts him and I think Buck feels like I'm ashamed of him and Bobby and I'm not but my mother would say something and I'm scared of her words hurting both of them” Athena says.
“Athena I know Buck loves you and he would never make you feel guilty and I know Bobby is the same but only you know what your mother is like” Eddie says.
“Thanks for the advice Eddie,” Athena says.
Bobby comes out of his office and he sees that Athena is here and he goes over to her and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
“So what brings you to the firehouse?” Bobby asks.
“My parents are coming tomorrow and they are staying with us for 2 weeks” Athena says.
“Oh and are you going to tell them that we are married?” Bobby asks.
“I am and I want you to invite Buck round tomorrow night for family dinner” Athena says.
“Buck may not be free tomorrow night as I know he is running that activity's club” Eddie says.
“Can he get someone to swap with him?” Athena asks.
“Buck's already covering someone” Eddie says.
“What about if Buck meets them once we know if they are going to be accepting of our marriage and then that way Buck can prepare himself” Bobby says.
“Good idea. I'm going to head to the station and try and get time off from work” Athena says.
“OK I'll see you later. Love you” Bobby says.
“I love you too. Stay safe everyone” Athena says and she leaves the firehouse and gets in her car and heads to the police station.
