Failed Love Potion

Summary:

Two witch sisters take Dean captive and try to cast a love spell upon Dean and it doesn’t work…three times, because he’s already in love.

Sam is worried about where his brother is.

Jack is worried about his second father, hoping he’s safe.

Cas is worried as hell for his hunter, wanting to bring him home and hold him in his arms and never let him go.

Notes:

I was rewatching some spn. And when I watched 13x12, I thought of a Destiel version because I’m me…hope you enjoy whatever this is. ;)

Also, this one follows my Destiel fic, Taken.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Dean and Cas lay in their bed in their room, in each other's arms, watching a cowboy movie on Dean's laptop that Dean wanted to rewatch.

Dean falls asleep before the movie is over because he was tired from the previous hunt—a wraith terrorizing a town four states over—and is just so damn comfortable; sleep takes over.

Cas smiles, seeing Dean relax and fall asleep in his arms.

Cas gently shuts the computer and places it on the nightstand, then wraps the other arm around Dean, holding him closer, slowly falling asleep.

That's a thing Cas does now. Here and there, if he's exerted himself enough, he can fall asleep. Especially after mind-boggling sex with Dean. But tonight, he just wants to sleep with his boyfriend, and hold him in his arms allllllll night.

*****

Dean wakes in his angel's arms.

The best way to wake up.

"Mornin' sunshine," Dean says, his voice raspy from sleep.

Cas slowly opens his eyes, blue meeting green.

"Hello, Dean," Cas croaks, smiling.

"Ready for breakfast, angel?" Dean rolls over and props himself up on his fists, planted on each side of his angel. He kisses along Cas's jawline.

Castiel hums. "Sounds nice."

Dean slowly rises. "Ooh, wanna shower with me first?" He wiggles his brows and flashes Cas a goofy smile. "I could go for some hot, morning shower sex."

"Yes," Cas breathes.

Perfect start to a perfect day, Dean thinks after they have a long, warm shower (with some very hot morning sex) and eat a good breakfast. Well, Dean does; Cas drinks a couple mugs of coffee, while sitting next to Dean.

Dean always thinks: Perfect start to a perfect day, whenever he wakes up next to Cas in the morning. Which happens waaaay more often than it doesn't.

Dean is cleaning the dishes when Sam and Jack walk in from their latest hunt.

"Hey, Sammy, Jack!" Dean chirps, grinning.

"You seem...cheery..." Sam says, not wanting to know why; he just wanted to point it out.

"Well, yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Dean states as if it's obvious, walking towards Sam and Jack, giving them each a quick hug. "Got the best life I could ever ask for." He says, flashing Cas a big grin before making his way out of the kitchen.

Cas gets up and walks over to Sam and Jack, also giving them each a hug.

"Where's Dean going?" Jack asks innocently.

"He said something about a beer and food run. So probably that." Cas assumes.

"Well, I'm going to hit the showers and crash; I'm beat," Sam inputs before walking out, waving to Jack and Cas.

Then Dean walks back in, keys in hand, boots on, a long-sleeve red flannel, and a leather jacket on over it.

"I'm heading out for beer and food. Anyone need anything? If you do, just text it to me. Do it sooner rather than later, cause once I check out, I ain't going back until the next run."

Jack grabs a nearly empty box of his favorite cereal and looks at Dean. "This box is almost gone."

Dean smiles at Jack. "I'll get you some, kid."

"Thank you, Dean," Jack says, grinning widely at him, then goes to grab a bowl, a spoon, and some milk to eat with it, taking a seat at the table.

Dean faces his angel now, his face softening in the way only Cas can bring out. "Anything you need, Cas?"

He shakes his head. "Stay safe, Dean."

Dean cocks his head, smiling. "That happened months ago, Cas. I'm going to be fine. Not gonna let anyone get the drop on me again." He grabs Cas's shoulders and looks him deep in the eyes. "Promise."

"Just text me, so I know you're okay."

"Always." Dean drops his hands from Cas's shoulders to hold his hands. "Love ya, angel." He plants a sweet kiss on Cas's lips, gently squeezing his hands to comfort him.

"I love you too, Dean." Cas kisses him again, the way they always do when they have to part ways for something. Like a food and beer run or a hunt, even a simple errand.

It took a little bit of time for Dean to get to this point where he was not ashamed, but it didn't take all that long, really. They've been together for over six months now, and Dean can't even remember why he was embarrassed of this, because there's nothing wrong with it. (And he said so to Cas months ago, making the angel turn the prettiest shade of pink.)

"See you soon, Cas," he flashed the angel a big smile.

"Okay, Dean." They kiss once more before Dean releases his hands and walks towards the garage.

*****

Cas was worried that something was going to happen to Dean again; he did every time Dean went on the food and beer run ever since the last time when he got taken by that fucking witch.

Cas was pacing around the bunker when he got a text.

Dean: Hey, baby, just got to the store. I'll see you soon, promise. Love ya ❤️

Cas smiled at his phone.

Cas: Love you too, Dean. Stay safe. ❤️

Cas pockets his phone and instantly relaxes, smiling softly.

He walks into the library to see Jack doing something on the computer.

"Hey, Cas, I believe I have found us a case close by."

Cas walks over, takes a look at the computer, and agrees, "Yes, definitely a case."

It says:

 BREAKING NEWS!

Another man found mutilated in Kansas.

[Includes a photo of a middle-aged man lying on his stomach, on concrete, clearly beaten to death.]

"What else do you know about this case?" Cas asks, intrigued.

"Well, this is the fourth body found. All men about that same age. All found in parking lots. A motel, a diner, and two gas stations. This man was found at a gas station."

"When Dean gets back, we'll head out there and take care of this before it happens again."

"Can I join?" Jack asks, like a kid asking his parents to buy him a new toy he spotted at Target.

"Of course, as long as you don't feel tired from the previous case you just returned from."

Jack shakes his head. "I'm good."

"Well then, as soon as Dean gets back, we'll head out there." Cas walks into the war room and dials Dean.

It rings and rings and rings.

Then the call goes to voicemail.

Cas blinks rapidly. "D-Dean? Please tell me you're okay." He doesn't know what else to say. He settles with, "J-just call me back as soon as you can. Jack found us a case close by."

Cas pockets his phone, his hands shaking, before walking back into the library to gather whatever information they can on this case until Dean gets back.

It shouldn't be too much longer.

Unless something happened to him.

*****

Dean pulls Baby into the store parking lot, blasting Bon Jovi on the radio.

When he parks, he grabs his phone and texts Cas, smiling.

His smile grows wider when he sees Cas text back.

He shuts off Baby, pockets his phone, and walks towards the store.

It doesn't take him long to get everything they need. Jack's cereal, beer, pies, other sugary snacks that Dean wanted, some gross healthy crap Sam asked for, and toilet paper.

Dean puts everything in Baby's trunk, then whips his phone out of his pocket to text his angel.

Dean: Got everything, and I'm heading home. See you soon, sweetheart ❤️

Right as his finger is going to hit send, he hears two young women scream. One out of fear and one out of pain.

He looks in that direction. There are two young women, both in their upper twenties or so, both brunettes, and look fairly similar. They must be sisters, Dean concludes. One is on the ground, the other crouched, checking on her.

Dean pockets his pistol from Baby's trunk, and his phone, slams the trunk shut, and races over to them.

"You ladies alright?"

They both look up at him, with fear, and a flash of a smirk appears on the one that's crouching. Dean doesn't catch that, though.

"Yeah, my sister was just attacked by some guy."

"H-he tried to get my purse," the one on the ground stutters. Dean squats to her level. "H-he pointed a gun at me, but then my sister came out of the store and scared him off." She nervously chuckles. "She's always been good at that. That's why she's the big sister."

"Here, let me help you," Dean says, reaching over and helping her stand.

The older, slightly taller brunette slides a hex bag into Dean's leather jacket pocket, without him noticing, as he helps the younger sister stand.

Once she's up, she leans back against an old red car, their old red car. Dean's still holding onto her, making sure she's okay and doesn't fall.

"You okay?"

She nods and looks at him with googly eyes. "Thank you," she breathes out in thanks and adoration, getting lost in his emerald eyes.

Dean clears his throat. "Of course. Do you need anything?" He asks her kindly.

The younger sister gives him a slick look, the same time as the older sister mutters: "Aegrota amore."

"No, I'm okay. How about you? How do you feel?" The younger brunette asks him, blinking her eyes rapidly. This would be the time the love spell sets in on the victim and would make them swoon.

Dean tilts his head, his brows furrowed. "Wha—"

The older sister murmurs the same spell again, confused: "Aegrota amore."

Dean stands and faces her, pulling his gun out, pointing right at her face. Even though it's not loaded with witch-killing bullets, he can still use it for defense to at least slow her down if he needs it.

"I wouldn't finish that spell, witch," He hisses, then glances down at his pocket because it's vibrating. Someone's calling him.

Dean reaches into his pocket and removes his phone from the pocket, and before he gets the chance to even look at the screen to see who's calling him—probably his angel—it's kicked out of his hand.

"Really?" He exclaims.

"How do you know we're...?" The older brunette starts.

He cocks a brow right as the younger sister hits him on the head with a frying pan from the trunk of the car she got out of when Dean was focused on the older one.

Dean's last thought is that he never sent that text to Cas.

*****

1 Hour Later

Cas is worried.

It's been over an hour since Dean last texted, and been close to the same time that he tried to call Dean but went to voicemail.

It never takes this long. Dean always gets in and gets out within minutes.

It's been an hour.

Something is wrong.

Before the other incident, Cas wouldn't have worried as much.

But this has happened before, and Cas is fucking worried.

He dials Dean's number.

It goes to voicemail again.

"Dammit, Dean!" Cas shouts at the phone before he angrily shoves it back into his pocket.

Jack walks in, concerned. "Everything okay?"

Cas spins around. "Dean's not answering his phone. It's been well over an hour now since he last got back to me. I fear something has happened to him."

"Again?" Jack tilts his head to the side, his eyes squinted.

"I really hope not." The angel sighs. "But that might be the case."

"Why don't we go see?" Jack suggests. "We can check out the store and see if he's still there."

Cas nods. "Let's go find Dean."

Logic flies out the window whenever Dean is in trouble. He does not know how to think straight—pun intended—when something is going on with Dean.

As Cas walks by Jack, Jack flashes him a big, hopeful smile.

That's all they can do right now: hope.

*****

Dean wakes with a start, water splashed in his face.

He blinks the water out of his eyes and looks at his surroundings: a small vintage apartment, definitely for witches, with the crazy ass decor. Then he looks down at his arms and legs, which are tied to a fucking chair.

"Son of a bitch!" He shouts to the ceiling, then looks down to the floor and mumbles, "Cas gonna be so pissed."

Next thing Dean knows, as soon as he sits up, the older brunette is in front of him, pointing a sharp-looking knife at him.

"What makes you so special, huh?"

Dean gives her a cheeky look. "You'll have to be more specific on that one, sugar."

Then the younger sister is right there in front of him, next to the other sister.

"You knew we're witches, so you're a hunter. And you resisted our spell. Twice," The younger one hisses.

Dean blinks rapidly. "Really? Huh." He nods, with a goofy look on his face. "Maybe you got a word wrong."

The sisters give each other a look before turning back to Dean. "Impossible. We've used that same spell on many men. All have worked. Except for you."

"Do you have some sort of witch protection spell or something?" The older sister asks.

"Nope." Dean pops the 'p', locking eyes with her.

The older sister stands and starts pacing back and forth. "The spell has worked on married men, even a few gay men. Why wouldn't the love spell work on him...?"

Dean perks up. "W-wait," he tries to hide his laughter, but it doesn't work out too well, because the noise that escapes his lips is an amused wheeze. "A love spell? That's what you tried on me? Twice?!?"

"Yes," the younger sister groans, rolling her eyes.

"Soooo," he chuckles. "The love spell has turned gay men straight, married men away from their wives, but it didn't do anything to me? HA!" He laughs loudly. "This is comedy gold."

The knife that the older sister still has in her hand, which Dean completely forgot about, is now pointed at his face again.

"Woah!" He leans his head back a bit, his eyes going crossed, staring at the end of the blade. "That's unnecessary. I've not done anything to you; there's no need to stick a freakin' knife in my face."

"You...uh..."

"Dean," he inputs for her.

"Dean, you are going to shut the hell up."

"Okay, but if I don't?" He quips.

She taps the tip of the knife to his nose. "We're going to cast a stronger spell on you where you can't resist us." She puts the knife away.

Dean shrugs, cockily. "Good luck."

A bit of silence, then he gives the sisters a curious look. "Question." He would point a finger at them if he could. But he's, uh, a little tied up at the moment.

"What now?!" The younger brunette shouts.

"If I were, I dunno, in love or whatever, would that mess with the spell?"

The sisters look at him wide-eyed, then at each other, then back to Dean.

Dean smirks. "There's your answer then."

The younger sister shoves a hex bag into Dean's hand and holds it there while muttering: "Aegrota amore."

Nothing.

She takes the hex bag and throws it away angrily.

"Mystery solved." Dean jokes.

"Well, sis, I think we should try a different spell. One, as you said, where he can't resist." The younger brunette says, flashing Dean a devilish smile.

"Good luck with that. I'll be here."

They knock him out again, gentler this time, and get to work on a stronger love spell.

*****

Cas and Jack find Baby, unharmed. No keys and no phone—unlike last time—it's just the car.

Cas opens the driver's door and doesn't find anything, and slams the door shut.

Don't tell Dean.

"Dammit, Dean." He grumbles.

Jack walks over to Cas; he just finished looking through the store to see if he was there—he was not. "I couldn't find him in the store."

Cas pinches his nose, closes his eyes, and sighs out of frustration and worry.

"What did you and Sam do last time?"

Cas locks eyes with his son. "Sam and I posed as FBI and just followed the car the witch drove that took him and tracked him down through security cameras." He takes a few steps towards Jack. "It took a while. But we found him in the end, as you know."

"Okay," Jack ponders. "So what if you and I did it this time? I could pose as the usual, an intern."

Cas nods, agreeing. "Okay, but I think we should also get Sam in on this. It is Dean after all."

Sam picks up immediately; he just woke from a power nap to pee when his phone rang.

Sam throws on his Fed outfit, badge for him and Cas, then calls a cab.

Sam's at the grocery store in less than half an hour.

Cas feels like he can breathe now.

He didn't realize he's been holding his breath since he called Sam twenty-six minutes ago.

"Hey," Sam says, walking over to them, handing Cas his badge.

"Thank you, Sam, for coming so quickly."

"Of course," Sam nods. "So, what do we know?" He looks from Baby to Cas, to Jack.

"Nothing," Jack states.

"Ah."

"And there's no sight of his phone or keys." Cas points out.

"Unlike last time," Sam inputs sourly, his hands in his FBI coat. After a moment, he says, "Shall we head in?"

Cas nods in agreement, then looks to Jack.

"Let's go get Dean back," Jack says confidently.

Cas flashes Jack a warm smile.

Sam leads the way, with Jack right next to him and Cas following shortly behind; they walk to the customer service desk.

"Excuse me, ma'am?" Sam says, approaching the young woman, kindly raising his hand as he usually does.

She gives him a big, welcoming smile. "Hi, how may I help you guys?"

Sam flashes his badge. "I'm Agent Paige," he points to Cas, who's standing behind him and Jack. "That's Agent Smith," Cas flashes his badge with no grace, quickly tucking it back into his trench coat. Sam now points to Jack. "This is our intern...Jack."

"Hi," Jack smiles and does his signature hand-in-the-air thing before returning it to his side.

The young woman, whose tag reads Renee, looks back and forth between them, looking like she's about to say something when a short, slightly older-than-middle-aged woman approaches them.

"You gentlemen stay here for just a moment; we will be right back." She says, looking at Sam and Jack, who give each other a look.

Then she locks eyes on Cas.

He sees it, tilts his head, and squints his eyes at her.

"Come with me, young man."

Cas blinks rapidly at her. "W-what?"

She waves for him to come towards her. "I won't bite. I have something you'll want to see."

Cas looks at Sam and Jack before walking over to her. Her name tag reads, Pam, Cas observes as they walk side by side to the other end of the store.

"Pam," he says. She turns and faces him. "It's Pam, right?"

"Yes, almost there, come on." Pam gestures for him to keep following as she takes the lead.

"Pam, what is it you're going to show me?"

"One second," she holds a finger to him, telling him to stay put.

She walks through a doorway for a brief moment, and walks back to him, holding a phone and a set of keys in her hand.

It almost looks like...

"D-Dean?" Cas breathes, staring at the items in her hands.

Pam gives him a look. "So it is you! These were handed to us from a customer, saying they were just lying in the parking lot."

"But...how am I factored into this?"

She shows him the lock screen on Dean's phone. It's the picture of Cas in the cowboy getup from Dodge City.

Cas almost forgot about that photo.

Must be a recent change; last time he looked at Dean's lock screen it was a picture of Baby.

Now it's a pic of Cas dressed as a cowboy with Baby in the back corner.

Cas's heart races.

"As soon as I saw you, I knew that you would want to see these. Your husband, Dean, is such a gentleman. He's always so kind. He's our favorite regular. He talks about you all the time! I remember when I was like that with my husband. Dean's absolutely smitten with you."

Cas's breath halts.

Husband?

Before he could say anything, she shoved the items into his hands with a smile.

"I'm sure you and your agent friends would want to see the cameras. Your husband was assaulted."

"Assaulted?" Cas gulps.

"Yes." She nods. "When the customer handed in Dean's things. I knew something was wrong, and I looked at the cameras. I'm assuming that's why you're here. Because something terrible has happened to him."

Cas nods, "Yes, my...my husband, Dean, is missing."

"Okay, let's go grab your agent friends, and then you can go get your man."

"O-okay." Cas is completely at a loss for words here.

Dean Winchester, Castiel's husband.

Doesn't that sound wonderful?

Yes, yes it does.

Cas doesn't stop thinking about it on the walk back to the customer service desk to fetch Sam and Jack, (they have been chatting with Renee, asking about Dean and if she saw anything strange—she has not, she had a lot of pleasant things to say about Dean, everyone's favorite regular though), and Cas still doesn't stop thinking about it on the walk to the camera room.

"Okay, so I don't know who these two women are. But they clearly have conned many people before. Luckily, Dean, that sweet boy, had a gun to protect himself." Pam notes before getting to the correct timestamp on the camera footage.

They all thank her as she makes her way out of the room.

"Of course, gentlemen, I really do hope Dean is safe. He's a very handsome and charming fellow." And with that, she's gone.

They watch the footage; it starts with Dean walking with his groceries to Baby, opening the trunk, throwing it all in there, pulling out his phone, starting to type something on it, grinning, then his attention is thrown elsewhere. The trio sees from another camera two girls, one falling to the concrete pretending to be hurt and the other crouching down to 'assist' her.

Sam and Jack watch the footage while Cas pulls Dean's phone out of his pocket.

He unlocks it and sees his fucking text page open with a damn message typed out on it: Got everything, and I'm heading home. See you soon, sweetheart ❤️

"Dammit, Dean." He grumbles. "Not again."

"What is it, Cas?" Sam asks, intrigued.

"Dean was about to send me a text saying he was leaving the store and then something..." Cas looks at the screen where they have it paused. Dean is on his knees helping one of the girls up while the other is slipping something into his jacket pocket.

Cas leans closer to the computer to get a better look.

"What is she putting into his pocket, Sam?" Jack asks.

"Hex bag. She's putting a damn hex bag into his pocket," Cas answers, rolling his eyes, shaking his head.

Yeah, he's never letting Dean go out on a food run alone ever again.

"So witches took Dean?"

"Seems so, Jack," Sam concludes.

"Again." Cas mumbles.

Sam unpauses the footage, watching the women appear to be sweet and vulnerable, damsels in distress if you will, then Dean spins around and points the pistol at one of them.

The trio's eyes go wide at the sudden burst of movement from Dean.

"Do you think they tried to cast a spell on him, but he caught on and..."

"Pulled his gun on them," Sam finishes. "Yes, I think so, Jack."

Then the other sister comes up behind Dean and knocks him out with a frying pan.

Cas winces, looking away from the screens.

"Okay, got the plate on the car, we can head back to the bunker," Sam says, Jack and Cas following.

Cas hands Sam the keys to Baby, while he and Jack head back to the bunker in Cas's truck.

*****

Dean slowly blinks his eyes open when more water gets tossed onto his face.

"Really?!?" He shouts. "I was already awake, dammit!" He shakes his head left to right vigorously to get the water off as best he can.

The two sisters snicker.

Then they cast the stronger love spell.

Which has an immediate effect on him. His eyes shine bright pink—as it should've on the original love spell—so the sisters know it worked.

"How are you feeling, Dean?" The older sister asks, bending down to his level, flashing him a big smile, looking at him with googley eyes.

The younger one does the same thing with her eyes.

Dean blinks rapidly, his eyes returning to the unique shade of green they always are, and looks at them dumbly, his insides feeling like goo. And he can't stop fucking smiling.

"Freakin' fantastic," the man breathes out, feeling love from his brain alllll the way down to his toes.

"Good, Dean, good." The sisters smirk evilly, giving each other a mischievous smile.

He looks between the sisters, only one thought in his mind. "Cas." His brain melts at the thought of his beautiful blue-eyed angel.

The sisters give each other a curious look, then look back at him, confused.

"Cas?" They ask simultaneously.

"My wonderful, perfect, beautiful, extremely pretty, angel boyfriend." He states as if it's the most obvious fact in the world.

"Oh," the younger sister starts, "well, how do you feel about us then?"

"What about you? I just want Cas. I miss Cas." He looks to the floor, devastated that his angel isn't here with him.

The older sister grabs the other sister's arm and drags her away from Dean, around the corner where they can't be heard.

"Dammit, it didn't work." The older sister hisses.

"I know, but what do we do with him now, Kay?"

"Kill him," Kaylee says, finishing with a smirk.

"Ooooh, sis, I like the way you think. We should kill him nice and slow."

"Genius, Kylie, absolute genius. And we should toy with him too. With the Cas fellow he won't stop blabbering about."

"Toy with his heart and kill him slow. We really are a good team, aren't we?"

"Damn right we are," she flashes her sister a sinister smile, which Kylie returns.

While the sisters are talking about their plan to torture Dean and kill him slowly, Dean sends his angel boyfriend a prayer.

*****

Sam is working his magic on the computer in the library; Jack is sitting next to him, watching him work. Cas is...

Well, Cas is pacing, wondering what could be happening to Dean right now, wondering if he's even alive.

"Cas, relax, we're going to find him," Sam assures, typing on the keyboard rather vigorously.

"I know we will. I'm just worried that when we find him, he won't be alive."

"We are too, Cas." Jack inputs. "But Dean is really strong. He can handle what they throw at him."

Sam flashes him a grin.

"I just wish I could hear his voice."

"We all do, Cas," Sam takes a breath before returning to the task at hand.

After what has felt like years, Sam speaks up, "Got it!"

Cas spins around and walks over to them, taking a seat, releasing a loud sigh. "Good news?"

"Yes," Sam answers.

"Okay, what is it?" The angel sits up and rests his elbows on the table.

"The car is registered in whoever these girls are, don't know if it's really their names or not, but it's them."

"Address?" Cas asks.

"Yup," Jack says, smiling. "Twenty minutes from here."

"Garage in five." Sam and Jack race out of the room to get ready; Cas just stays put in the chair, and then he receives a prayer.

*****

"Hey, baby," Dean starts, his voice sounds odd. Almost like he's high. "I miss you, wherever you are. Have I told you I loved you today?..." Moment of silence, then, "If I have, you'll just have to hear it again. I love you, angel, and miss you and your blue eyes and that adorable little trench coat. I love you so much and want to kiss you so badly right now. I could kiss you forever, sweetheart, and I'd kill to be doing that right about now." He breathes out a happy little laugh. "I love ya, angel."

*****

Cas sits up and takes a deep breath.

"Cas?" He hears Sam call behind him somewhere. "You okay?" Sam is right next to him now, resting a hand on his shoulder.

"Hmm?" Cas turns his head to Sam. "I'm okay. I...Dean's alive."

"How do you..?"

"He sent me a prayer. Something is...off. He seems okay; he just sounded like he was on laughing gas." Cas slowly rises from the chair, catching his bearings.

"How do you know what that is?"

"Dean and I watch a lot of TV together," Cas deadpans.

"Ah," Sam says, understanding, and also thinking: it's not the only thing you two do a lot of. (He's not wrong, at all; they're very,  very loud.) "Let's go get Dean back then."

After that, Jack wanders back into the library, then everyone heads into the garage, to the address where the car is registered.

*****

"Alright, Dean," Kaylee starts, strutting towards him after being gone for a very long time, holding that same pointy knife from before. "Time for some fun." She grins evilly.

Dean looks at her, "We weren't before?" He cocks his head.

"Oh, no, sweetie," Kylie enters the room with an even bigger knife. "The fun has just begun." She slices his left bicep with the blade, making blood slowly drip from the new wound. Dean winces from the pain.

And Kaylee squats down on his right side and smirks. "How does that feel, hun?"

Dean gives her a dark look, not offering any sort of answer; instead, he says, or rather, hisses, "Go to hell, witch ."

And then Kaylee cuts his other bicep with her blade, just a bit of a deeper cut this time.

Dean screams to the ceiling from the pain.

Then the apartment door is kicked open by the 8-foot giant, Sam Winchester.

The witches immediately hold their knives in attack positions and head for the intruder, clearly not taking note that one is a very experienced hunter, the other is a pissed-off angel, and that the third is a Nephilim.

To put it simply, the sisters, Kaylee and Kylie, are royally fucked.

*****

Sam, Cas, and Jack pull Baby up to the apartment complex that the address on the car registration said, weapons hidden in their fits and at the ready, loaded with witch-killing bullets.

Sam is the first at the door, pulling the gun out of his pants and into his hands, turning to them. "Ready?"

Cas and Jack nod in return, then Sam kicks the door open. Jack follows right behind Sam as he walks inside, Dean's screams echoing through the apartment, putting the trio on immediate alert.

*****

The sisters charge the intruders quickly.

Kaylee sees that the tall giant has a gun pointed at her little sister, Kylie, so she uses her magic to knock the gun out of his hands.

Kylie sees the young boy and goes for him using her knife, which Jack easily dodges.

Sam surges toward the witch, and they begin fist-fighting.

The other sister keeps trying to attack Jack, and he just easily keeps dodging her. His dads have taught him well.

*****

Now that the two sisters are very occupied, Cas slips around everyone and looks for Dean.

Who is just around the corner, fighting against the restraints.

"Dean!" Cas shouts.

Dean freezes and looks at Cas, his insides melting into goo upon seeing his angel.

"Cas," he breathes as if Cas is the most beautiful thing on the planet.

"Dean, are you alright?" He assesses his boyfriend and sees the cuts on his biceps. "You're hurt."

"I'm okay...you're so pretty. Have I ever told you that you're pretty?" Dean rambles as Cas sinks to his knees to untie Dean's legs.

"A few times, yes."

Dean gasps dramatically.

Cas looks up at him with confusion, then back down to his hands, so he can see what they're doing, to undo the ropes. He'll ask what the witches did to him later.

"I'm a horrible boyfriend; I should be telling you that every day ."

"No, Dean, you are the complete opposite of that."

Dean's eyes light up at that. "I am?"

"Yes. You tell me you love me every day, multiple times a day even, so that is more than enough."

"I do?" He asks in awe, his emerald eyes wide.

Cas stands and looks at Dean with all the love in his eyes. "Yes, you do. And do you want to know what I say back to you every time?"

"What?" Dean asks, breathlessly.

"I love you too." Cas leans down and plants a kiss on Dean's lips before Dean has a chance to say anything other than release a muffled moan. Cas sends his grace through the kiss to heal the cuts on Dean's arms; it's his favorite way to heal Dean, and it's Dean's favorite too.

Sam hits the witch right on her nose.

She takes a step back and screams in pain, holding her nose in her hands, then mumbles a quick healing spell.

While she was distracted, Sam found the gun; it was in the corner of the room by a big potted plant, and he walks back to her, pointing it right at her nose.

"Go to hell, witch." Then he fires, killing her instantly.

Sam breathes a sigh of relief.

When Cas pulls back from the kiss, Dean lets out a whine of protest.

Cas cocks his head and looks at his boyfriend with bewilderment, then he unties the ropes around Dean's wrists. "Dean, what did they do to you?"

Dean giggles.

"Well, they, uh, tried to cast a love spell on me. But it didn't work. They tried it..." Dean thinks for a moment. "Three times! They tried it three times," He cackles. "But it didn't work. So they did a stronger one on me." He ends with more giggling.

"It seems it worked."

"Not the way they hoped." Dean provides, locking his eyes with Cas's.

Cas does his signature head tilt with the squinty eyes at Dean.

"As it turns out, you can't fall for a love spell if you're already in love."

Cas is at a loss for words.

And before he gets the chance to say anything in response, Dean grabs the collar of Cas's trench coat and pulls him back in for a kiss because it's been too damn long since they last kissed.

And Dean is hungry. So he's not holding back, moaning and whimpering into his angel's mouth.

"I love you so much, Castiel," Dean rasps into Cas's mouth.

"I love you too, Dean," Cas gets to finally say once he has to pull back so he can fucking breathe. Dean was not letting up and also whined again when Cas pulled back.

"Come back," Dean commands, definitely not whining again, with grabby hands.

"Dean, we need to figure out how to reverse this spell."

Dean just stares at Cas, smiling dumbly. "I love you so so so much, angel."

Cas can't help but grin at his ridiculous boyfriend.

"I love you too, Dean, very much."

Dean giggles, blushing ferociously.

"Dean, let's go back to the bunker, and we can figure out how to reverse this." Cas has a thought. "Was there a hex bag somewhere?"

Dean is still staring at his angel. "You're so pretty."

"Dean," Cas grumbles. "You're not listening. We need to get out of here and figure out how to fix you."

"Whatever you say, angel," Dean says breathlessly, still looking at him dopey-eyed.

Cas rolls his eyes and has Dean follow him to the exit.

"Okay, sweetheart," Dean says, standing up and staying right behind Cas.

As soon as they walk into the main room where Sam has just killed one of the sisters, Jack is still dodging the other, then Sam shoots the other sister.

"Damn, Sammy," Dean says as she falls to the ground with a loud thump.

"Dean," he breathes out in relief, then runs over to give him a big hug.

"Hey, Sammy," Dean says once his little brother pulls back after a few seconds.

"You okay?"

Dean looks at Cas and says, "I'm awesome," with all of the love in his voice.

"They cast a love spell upon him," Cas deadpans.

"A love spell?" Jack asks as he walks over to them.

"Yeah, it didn't work like they wanted it to."

"It made him even more in love with you, huh?" Sam concludes smugly.

"Yeaaaaah," Dean breathes out in awe of how beautiful his angel is and how lucky he is to call Cas his. "He's so pretty," Dean tells Jack and Sam, smiling goofily.

"Ooookay," Sam says awkwardly. "Let's go and try and get him back to normal." He looks to Cas now. "See any hex bags?"

Cas shakes his head. "I haven't checked Dean's pockets yet."

So he does.

Dean giggles as Cas does so, smiling at him with love and adoration in his emerald eyes.

"I found it!" Cas finds it in the last pocket, holding it up in the air.

Sam takes it from him and burns it.

Pink flashes in Dean's irises, then fades away, his eyes returning to the unique shade of green that they are.

He looks at Jack and Sam, pointing a finger at them. "This never happened. We will never speak of this. You got it?"

Sam and Jack nod, making their way out of the apartment, chuckling quietly.

Dean nervously looks at Cas once they're left alone.

Cas gives Dean an assuring look. "I assure you, Dean, we will never speak of this again," Cas agrees.

Dean then practically pounces on Cas. Grabbing the angel's face tight in his hands and throwing his lips on Cas's.

Cas is caught very much off guard but doesn't hesitate to kiss Dean back and wrap his arms around Dean.

Dean is so relentless that the kiss forces Cas to walk backwards and hit a wall. Dean doesn't let that stop him. He just keeps kissing his angel, with tongue now, moaning loudly into the kiss.

Cas is just putty in his hunter's hands, kissing Dean back, holding him close, not able to do or think of anything else but this.

"Dean," Cas gasps out into the kiss.

"What?" Dean asks, then goes back to kissing his angel, hands falling from Cas's face to the wall. One on each side of Cas, securing him in place.

"Is this some sort of after effect?" Cas pushes Dean back for a moment to breathe, which he knows Dean does too; he's panting.

"Nope," Dean's on him again, and Cas no longer cares about what this is; he just continues to kiss Dean back.

It's the most divine feeling in the world.

"Hey, guys, we're ready to head ou—Jesus!!" Sam shouts, walking back into the apartment to see Dean pinning Cas against a wall, still kissing him, still moaning loudly.

Dean jumps off of Cas and turns his head ever so slightly to see his younger brother staring at them wide-eyed and grossed out.

"Really, Sammy?! You're interrupting something here!"

"Yeah," Sam clears his throat. "I can see that."

"Okay, then, leave. We'll be out in five." Dean begins to plant kisses along Cas's neck. And Cas, well, he's unable to say anything; he's just soaking in everything that Dean is giving him. Loving every moment.

"Yeah, okay. Five minutes or we're leaving you two here."

"I kinda like that idea better," Dean says, pulling away from Cas's neck, staring at him, smirking, looking him up and down, looking ready to devour him.

"Eugh," Sam groans, leaving the two lovebirds behind, closing the door behind him.

"Dean," it's Cas's first word in a long time; his voice comes out even deeper and raspier than usual.

Fuck. His voice sounds like sex, even more than it usually does.

"Okay, we're finding a hotel room for the night right now." Dean kisses Cas once more, then grabs one of his hands and drags him out the door to the hotel so creatively placed across the street from the apartment complex.

They don't return to the bunker until well over twenty-four hours later.

As soon as they get back, Sam is giving Dean a smug look.

"Shut up, Sammy," Dean grumbles.

"I didn't say anything," Sam teases.

Dean rolls his eyes and walks off to his and Cas's bedroom to grab some clothes for them to take a quick shower, pulling Cas with him.

"Dean," Cas mutters, going with Dean willingly.

Dean places his pointer to his lips, "Shh."

The two men walk into the library nearly an hour later in different clothes, in short-sleeved band shirts and fuzzy pants, their pajamas essentially.

Jack is grinning widely as they walk in. "The case is solved."

"Which case, kiddo?" Dean asks, walking over to him.

"The one me, you, and Cas were going to work on when you got back. It was the witch sisters!"

Dean chuckles, "Hell yeah! Less work for us."

Cas has to ask, "How did you figure that out?"

"Look," Jack points to his computer, showing a fresh article confirming everything he said.

Dean stands behind Cas and looks at the screen. "God, I hate witches."

"We all do," Sam adds.

Cas spins around and faces Dean, pointing a finger at him. "You're never going on a food run alone ever again."

"Wow, being grounded by my own boyfriend. How rude."

"Dean."

He puts his hands up to surrender. "Okay, Jack can be my food and beer run buddy."

"Really?" The kid beams.

"Yup," Dean grins.

"Thank you, Dean," Cas says.

Dean gives his angel a loving smile. "Of course, sweetheart. C'mere." He pulls Cas into a sweet kiss. "Wanna cuddle and watch a movie in the Dean Cave with me?" He whispers to his angel.

"That sounds lovely, Dean."

They walk hand in hand to the Dean Cave.

"They're disgustingly in love," Sam mumbles, getting a laugh out of Jack.
