Love Me Like You Do

Summary:

After a another beating Harry's life is in danger and Dudley decides to get help from the only person he knows can save Harry.

 

Harry learns to stand up for himself and along the way he learns that him and Dudley are both more powerful than Dumbledore.

Notes:

My editor gave me this idea and after talking and deciding on what was going to happening this is the first chapter.

 

I like doing stories where Harry meets mother magic or death.

Chapter 1

Chapter Text

4 Privet Drive 1981 1st November.

 

Death and Father Time watch as a child is placed on the doorstep of a muggle house and they both look angry as how the old man is just walking away and not even bothering to ring the doorbell let alone wait until morning before handing the baby over.

 

Once the two guardians have watched the three people disappear they walk over to the child and Death feels something pulling him to the child and as he looks down at the sleeping baby he has the urge to grab him and disappear.

 

“He must be put here and you can not get involved at this moment my dear brother” Destiny says.

 

Both figures turn around and they come face to face with Destiny who is smiling at them.

 

“What do you know about what will happen to this child?” Father Time asks.

 

“He will go through hard times and be hurt so many more times but it needs to be this way” Destiny says.

 

“How can you say that?” Death asks.

 

“Because dear brother it is his destiny” Destiny says.

 

“What more do you know?” Death asks.

 

“This boy is powerful and he is your master as he is the one to control the hallows but he will not want to do it for personal reasons no he will want to help people and to make things better but he needs to connect with the boy in this house as his future is also connected to the young boy on the doorstep and once they have come together then they can be saved but it won't be until the boy reaches 13 as there is another person who needs to help them but that person is not yet ready as he has a lot of demons to face but once those two have found each other then their futures become more clear” Destiny says.

 

“What can you tell us about the other boy who you mentioned?” Father Time asks.

 

“He is the cousin of little Harry Potter who we have just seen being placed on the doorstep and the cousin is called Dudley” Destiny says.

 

“What do you know about Dudley's future, my dear brother? Death asks.

 

“Both him and Harry will be the strongest people to ever walk this earth” Destiny says.

 

Both Death and Farther Time get shivers down their spines and by the look Destiny has on his face they know that they will be watching over Harry Potter.

 

All three guardians take one last look at Harry Potter and they disappear.

 

Throughout the years both Death and Farther Time kept an eye on Harry and they tried to make things better for him but they had to be careful as they couldn't get too involved and it frustrated them but Destiny told them that Farther Time would know when to step in as he would feel it.

 

The day was coming and Father Time knew it and when he spoke to Destiny the guardian only smiled and Farther Time knew that he only had to wait a few hours as it was clear that something major was going to happen and Destiny made sure his brother and father were meant to be where they are supposed to be.

 

July 25th 1993.

 

Harry was in his room and he was lying on his bed and he was trying to keep quiet but the pain that he was feeling was making him want to scream and pass out but he knew he had to stay silent.

 

Harry looks at the bruises that cover his stomach and he also knows that he has a head wound as he can feel the blood pouring down his face but it's the stab wound that is the most concerning as it's not healing properly and it's clear it's becoming infected.

 

Harry's bedroom door opens and Harry looks at who's entering his bedroom and he smiles when he sees it's Dudley.

 

From the day Harry was placed on the doorstep of number 4 him and Dudley have been inseparable as Dudley felt a connection and it wasn't just the normal connection that you have with your cousin no this one was more powerful.

 

Dudley knew that his parents weren't good people and the way they treated Harry was not right but Dudley tried to tell the teachers about what was going on but it's like they had no memory of it or just seemed to ignore what he was saying.

 

The first time Dudley saw his parents hit Harry he was shocked and he felt sick but after it happened Dudley tried to help his cousin but Harry told him he can't as he doesn't want Dudley to get hurt and told him he needs to pretend to hate him and Dudley tried to refuse but Harry said he needs to do it.

 

Dudley hated being nasty to Harry and picking on him and when the people Dudley would spend time with in school made Harry a target he wanted to tell them to leave him alone but Harry made sure Dudley was playing along.

 

Harry had known from the moment he was placed with his aunt and uncle that his life would be hard but he also knew that he would be away from them as someone was coming to save him.

 

Throughout the years Harry has had strange dreams and he keeps seeing a person in them and they tell him that he is going to be ok but the day is coming when he will be saved but he has to wait until 6 days before he turns 13.

 

Harry doesn't know who the mysterious person is but he trusts them completely and he knows they are telling him the truth.

 

Dudley goes over to Harry and he looks at his cousin who he has come to see as his brother and he can tell that Harry is not doing well.

 

“Harry you need medical help” Dudley says and his voice shows how worried he is.

 

“I'm fine, Dudley,” Harry says.

 

“No you're not,” Dudley says and he puts his hand on Harry's head and he feels Harry burning up.

 

“Harry you're burning up” Dudley says.

 

“I'm going to be ok. It's not that bad” Harry says.

 

Dudley looks at his cousin and he then looks at Hedwig and Hedwig looks at him and she gives him a hoot.

 

Dudley knows what he needs to do and he sees that Harry's eyes are closed and he knows the boy has fallen asleep as he can hear him breathing so he goes out if the bedroom and goes into the bathroom and looks through the little cupboards and he finds a small basin and a cloth and he turns on the taps and watches as the basin filled up with cold water and after Dudley makes sure there is enough he takes the basin and cloth and goes back to Harry's room.

 

Once back in Harry's room Dudley puts the basin down and puts the cloth in the water and after getting it wet and then he starts to place the cloth on Harry's head and hopefully that will help his brother while he is writing the letter that Hedwig will take.

 

Dudley goes to Harry's desk and sits down and looks at the parchment, ink and the feather and as he looks at them it hits him that he doesn't know who to write too or what to write but Hedwig gives him a hoot so Dudley knows that he needs to put his fears to the back of his head and focus on what is needed and that's getting help for Harry.

 

Dudley picks up some parchment and opens the ink bottle and picks the feather up and once he has dipped it in the ink he starts to write.

 

To whoever gets this letter please come to number 4 Privet Drive immediately as my cousin needs help that only you can give him but you need to hurry as time is of great importance and I fear that my cousin may not make it through the night. So please come quick as I'm scared.

Dudley puts the letter in the envelope and seals it and writes his address on the back but he leaves the front blank.

 

Dudley is glad that Hedwig's cage isn't locked and once he opens it she flys out and she goes and rests on the window and Dudley goes to her and hands her the letter.

 

“Take this to the one who can help Harry” Dudley says.

 

Hedwig gives him a hoot and once the boy opens the window she flys away and Dudley watches and he hopes that she can find help.

 

Dudley goes back to Harry and he tries to stay strong.

 

In an unknown place four figures are sitting around a table and they are Father Time,Mother Magic,Destiny and Death.

 

Father Time falls to the ground and he lets out a scream and Mother Magic goes to him and pulls him up and he sits back on the chair.

 

“What's wrong?” Death asks.

 

“I don't know. I feel like something is changing and it's hurting me” Father Time says.

 

“But what is hurting you? and what is changing?” Mother Magic asks.

 

“It's time. You must go now” Destiny says.

 

“Wait, do you mean that today is when the child is to be saved?” Death asks.

 

“Yes but time is against us as Father is not supposed to be in agony” Destiny says.

 

“What do we do?” Mother Magic asks.

 

“We go to the child and hopefully help will come but the child is running out of time” Father Time says.

 

All four guardians disappear and they reappear in Harry's room and they see Harry lying on the bed and Mother Magic goes over to him and she looks down and as she sees Harry she wants to cry as the sight of him makes her heart break but she what she does is closes her eyes and bestows some gifts on him that haven't been given since the 4 founders of Hogwarts were alive.

 

Death goes over and he takes a look at his master and he too closes his eyes and makes sure to get revenge for Harry and he lets out some of his own magic and Death opens his eyes and smirks to himself.

 

Father Time comes over and he leans down and touches Harry's hand and Father Time feels some of the pain disappear and to thank the boy for doing that Father Time slows down time so Harry will have a better chance to get saved.

 

Destiny goes over and he looks at Harry and he smiles as the boy will alright and Destiny looks at the other boy and he sees the worry in his eyes.

 

“Do we make ourselves known to this muggle?” Mother Magic asks.

 

“No it's not the right moment” Destiny says.

 

“This is the child you spoke about all those years ago isn't it?” Death asks.

 

“Yes. He and Harry are going to be a force to be reckoned with and he is not a muggle” Destiny says.

 

“You mean he has magic in him but why has he not shown it?” Death asks.

 

“Look at where we are and what you have witnessed over the years,” Destiny says.

 

“When will he show his magic?” Father Time asks.

 

“You should know the answer to that my dear father” Destiny says and gives them a smirk.

 

Father Time searches his memories of what has happened and what is yet to happen and he finds a memory that is starting to appear but it has a time lock on it and the numbers are slowly counting down and Father Time smiles.

 

“Well when will this muggle become one of us?” Mother Magic asks.

 

“Soon my dear wife but it's going to be one hell of a show when that time comes” Father Time says.

 

All four guardians take position and watch over Harry and they hope that the person who saves the boy comes quickly.

 

Hedwig is flying through the sky and she has determination in her eyes and she knows who to go to and she picks up speed as the connection she has with Harry is telling her that he hasn't got long left.

 

Hedwig spots the house she needs to go to and luckily the window is open so she flys straight through it.

Severus Snape was reading the paper and enjoying a nice cup of tea when he heard a hoot and he put the paper down and came face to face with Hedwig.

 

Severus wonders why Potter's Owl would come to him and when he sees a letter attached to her leg he thinks the boy is playing some sort of prank so Severus gets his wand out and he points it Hedwig and mutters an incantation and it comes back fine so Severus takes the letter and he sees there is no name on the front but when he turns it over he sees the address of where Potter lives and he opens it and reads it.

 

To whoever gets this letter please come to number 4 Privet Drive immediately as my cousin needs help that only you can give him but you need to hurry as time is of great importance and I fear that my cousin may not make it through the night. So please come quick as I'm scared.

Severus gets up and he tells Hedwig to go back as he will be there soon and if Harry gets worse to go straight to Narcissa Malfoy immediately and Hedwig hoots and flies out the window.

 

Severus goes to his potions lab and gathers what he needs and while doing that he has this feeling he knows who lives at the address that was on the letter but he wonders who the person is that sent it.

 

After getting what he needs Severus apparates to the destination and he hopes he makes it in time.

Chapter 2

Summary:

Severus finds out who sent the letter and he is shocked to come face to face with his past.

 

Narcissa finds out more about Harry and she makes a plan.

 

Harry's future is starting to become clear.

Notes:

This chapter I have added in a few things that are going to be very important for future chapters and I have planted some information in about Dudley what direction I'm going to take him.

Chapter Text

Severus appears outside number 4 privet drive and he goes to knock on the door but the door opens and Severus immediately takes out his wand and enters and he looks around and he doesn't see anyone but he sees pictures on the wall and he goes over to one and he looks at the woman in the picture and Severus sees that it's none other than Petunia staring back at him.

 

Severus can't believe that he is starting at Petunia Evens again but he immediately casts a spell and it shows that there is only 2 people in the house and Severus goes and runs towards the stairs and he heads up to the bedrooms and he sees the bedroom that is the smallest so he opens the door.

 

Dudley sees Harry's door opening and he hopes it's not his parents that have come back.

 

Severus enters the bedroom and he sees Harry on the bed and he sees another boy and he knows it must be Harry's cousin and the one to send the letter so Severus immediately goes to Harry.

 

“What happened to him?.” Severus asks.

 

Dudley looks at the man that has entered and for some reason he is not scared of him and he knows that his letter reached the right person.

 

“My dad got angry and hit Harry but this time he got a knife and stabbed him.” Dudley says.

 

“How long has Harry been getting abused?.” Severus says.

 

“The moment he was placed here.” Dudley says.

 

Severus looks at the boy and he can tell that he tried to help Harry but he must have been stopped or a certain headmaster has cast his favourite spell and used his favourite word.

 

“Ok what you did has helped Harry but he may not be out of the woods just yet but I'm going to do my absolute best to save him. Now where are your parents?.” Severus asks.

 

“My parents are at my dads work party.” Dudley says.

 

Severus thinks that's good as it gives them time to try and help Harry.

 

Unknown to Severus the four guardians are using their magic to help Severus in saving Harry.

 

“Our magic may not be enough.” Mother Magic says.

 

“We have to try.” Death says.

 

“Son, why would you allow this to happen to this child when you said he is to be the most powerful wizard?.” Mother Magic asks Destiny.

 

“As I said all those years ago he needed to meet the person that is meant to help him in becoming the most powerful wizard but the fight is yet to be over.” Destiny says.

 

“There is someone else that can help the boy and they are on their way.” Father Time says.

 

Death and Mother Magic look at Father Time and they can see his eyes have gone a pure white colour and they know that he is looking at what events are taking place at what times.

 

Up in the sky Hedwig is flying as fast as she can and she has determination in her eyes as she knows that she needs to save her Harry.

 

Hedwig has never needed the address of the person she is delivering letters to as she can sense their magic and she knows that the person she is going to will help Harry.

 

Malfoy Manor The Living Room.

 

Narcissa,Lucius and Draco are relaxing and telling one another about their days and how Draco is getting ready to start his 3rd year at Hogwarts.

 

“So Draco, are you happy with what subjects you have picked for the next 3 years?.” Lucius asks.

 

“Yes Father I am.” Draco says.

 

“Well I'm not. I don't understand why you would pick Divination?.” Narcissa asks.

 

“I didn't want to take Muggle Studies.” Draco says.

 

“So you chose a subject that is completely wasted in the magical community.” Narcissa says.

 

“Sweetheart it's only for a year as I'm sure once Draco has met Sybill Trelawney he will drop the class by next year.” Lucius says.

 

“Is she that bad?.” Draco asks.

 

“You'll find out.” Lucius says.

 

Draco looks at his father and then his mother and now he wishes he had picked muggle studies but before he can say anything he sees Potter's owl fly in through the window and she lands in front of Narcissa.

 

“Why is Potter's owl sitting in front of you Narcissa?.” Lucius asks.

 

“I don't know and I have no idea how she found me.” Narcissa says.

 

Hedwig hoots and flaps her wings but Narcissa does not move.

 

“Look I don't know how you found me but I'm not friends with your owner so please leave?.” Narcissa asks Hedwig.

 

Hedwig flaps her wings again but this time she flies in front of Narcissa.

 

“I don't think it's leaving.” Draco says.

 

“Why would Potter send his owl here? Does Potter know where we live?.” Lucius asks.

 

“Like I would tell Potter where I live.” Draco says.

 

“Look I've been polite but you are getting on my nerves so I want you to leave immediately.” Narcissa says and she accidentally touches Hedwig's wings and it's like something has been unlocked inside of her mind and she sees the scene of Harry lying on the bed and he is injured and Severus is there but it's like he seems to be losing a battle as Harry seems to be getting worse.

 

The image fades and Narcissa gets up.

 

“Go to him and let Severus know I'm on my way and hopefully Harry survives until I get there but I know time is of great importance.” Narcissa says.

 

Hedwig flies out the window and gives a hoot in response.

 

“Lucius, you need to go to Fudge immediately and get Madam Bones to gather Aurors right away and to let Saint Mungo's know that Harry is going to be arriving and will need help immediately.” Narcissa says.

 

“Narcissa what is going on?.” Lucius asks.

 

“Abuse, Lucius, that's what Potter's owl was here about.” Narcissa says.

 

Lucius is shocked and he should have seen it but he was blind.

 

“How bad?.” Lucius asks.

 

“Harry is fighting for his life, that's how bad it is.” Narcissa says.

 

“I'll go now. Draco you are to stay here and you must speak to no-one. Do you understand me?.” Lucius asks.

 

“Yes I understand.” Draco says.

 

Lucius runs out of the room and they hear the sound Apparition and both Draco and Narcissa know he has left the manor.

 

“Dobby,Kreacher.” Narcissa calls out.

 

Both house-elves appear out of nowhere and they look at Narcissa.

 

“Myself and Lord Malfoy need to attend an urgent meeting and we don't know how long it will take so I want both you to watch Draco and to not ask any questions. Do you understand me?.” Narcissa asks.

 

“Yes, mistress.” Both Dobby and Kreacher say.

 

Narcissa gives Draco a kiss and then she leaves.

 

Draco goes to his room and he can't believe that Potter is getting abused but he is going to keep quiet.

 

Back at 4 privet drive

Severus is doing all he can to keep Harry alive but the potions he is giving Harry don't seem to be working.

 

Hedwig comes through the window and she hoots at Severus and Severus knows that Narcissa is on her way.

 

Narcissa appears out of nowhere and she looks at Dudley and then she looks at Harry.

 

“How many healing potions have you given him?.” Narcissa asks.

 

“5 but they don't seem to be doing anything.” Severus says.

 

“Severus, if you have given him that many they should have helped. We need to get him to Saint Mungo's immediately.” Narcissa says.

 

“We don't know the damage and this may be something they can't fix.” Severus says.

 

Narcissa looks at her friend and she knows that by moving Harry is risky but if they don't then he will die.

 

Father Time moves closer to Dudley and he looks at the boy and it's like he is hearing something but as he looks through his mind all he sees is the time lock and the numbers counting down.

 

“You are one interesting person my child but something tells me you aren't who people think you are.” Father Time says.

 

Narcissa and Severus are casting every medical spell they know and nothing is happening and Narcissa has even tried the Black family spells she knows.

 

“Nothing.” Severus says.

 

“We will find something but Severus we need to take him to a hospital.” Narcissa says.

 

Just then Harry lets out a loud sound and it's like he is in pain.

 

Narcissa and Severus look at each other.

 

All three guardians look at Father Time and he searches his memories.

 

“Time is moving against us.” Father Time says.

 

“Can you slow it down?.” Mother Magic asks.

 

“I can try but I may not be successful as time can always change.” Father Time says.

 

Father Time closes his eyes and he uses his magic to slow down 3 hours as that's the closest thing he can do.

 

Mother Magic goes over to Harry and she looks at what magic he has and she sees that there are some gifts that are locked away and she can feel them getting ready to break.

 

“The power that you hold is going to cause people to see you differently.” Mother Magic says.

 

Mother Magic looks at Dudley and she feels something and she wonders if he is magical.

 

Destiny looks at both Harry and Dudley and the power they hold is something that can't be held back and those who get in their way won't survive.

 

Destiny laughs to himself as he thinks Albus Dumbledore better run.

Notes:

The next chapter Harry is taken to hospital and the guardians look at what magic have may possess.

 

Fudge speaks to Lucius and he starts to wonder about Dumbledore.

The next chapter is when Narcissa comes in and more will be revealed about Harry and Dudley.
