Bakugou had always wondered where Deku obtained most of his notebooks when in heroics class. Whenever they were in the class, the nerd would have one of his creepy stalker books with him. At first, Bakugou thought nothing of it, thinking that Deku was just carrying it around with him everywhere. Then he noticed that the notebook would disappear whenever Deku would have to do something, but the nerd didn’t have any pockets on him that could fit a full-sized notebook. So where was he storing them?
After realizing he has no clue, Bakugou starts to pay attention to when Deku is writing in his notebook. It doesn’t stop with heroics class either. Once Bakugou had noticed the notebook disappearing in heroics, he noticed it in the other classes as well. Bakugou even thought he had seen it disappear in the hallways and at lunch as well. Every time Bakugou turns away or blinks, for even a second, the notebook disappears or appears. It’s driving Bakugou insane. At one point, Bakugou thinks he is going insane and that he’s imagining the notebook. His fears of going insane are eased when he hears one of Deku’s friends talk about the notebook.
That still brings into question where the nerd is storing them. It takes almost an entire week before Bakugou gets any clue as to how. He’s stalking watching Deku talk with his friends when he sees Izuku reach up towards his hair and run his hands through it. Then, suddenly, the nerd has his notebook in his hand and is pointing out something in his notebook to his weird nerd friends. Bakugou blinks a couple of times, trying to process what he saw. “Deku! HOW DID YOU DO THAT!” Bakugou yells as he storms over to Izuku and his friends after processing what he saw. “Do what Kachan?” Izuku asks questioningly as he turns to face the boy storming over. “YOU JUST PULLED YOUR NOTEBOOK OUT OF YOUR HAIR! HOW’D YOU DO IT?” Bakugou yells at Izuku.
Izuku just tilts his head before saying, “But I’ve had my notebook in my hand this entire time, Kachan?” Bakugou blinks, then turns to the self-appointed Deku squad, saying, “YOU SAW IT TO RIGHT? HIS NOTEBOOK JUST APPEARED OUT OF THIN AIR!” They turn to each other before thinking back on it. “I don’t remember Bakugou, but I don’t think it would have been possible for Midoriya to take his notebook out of his hair. Maybe you saw wrong!” Ilda says with his usual arm chops. The rest of the Deku squad just nod their heads in agreement. Bakugou blinks at them before storming off, yelling behind him that he will “FIND OUT HOW THE NERD DID IT EVENTUALLY!”
“I wonder what Bakugou was talking about?” Uraraka says as she turns back to her friends after they watch the angry blond walk off. “I have no idea what he’s talking about! I’ve never pulled my notebook out of my hair!” Izuku says with a smile. Strangely, the rest of the Deku squad can’t see his notebook anywhere when they look for it. At this moment, Bakugou would like for it to be noted that throughout that entire conversation, Midoriya also didn’t have his bag with him or anywhere else he could store a notebook. “Midoriya, where did your notebook go?” Todoroki asks in a monotone voice, facing Midoriya. The rest of the Deku squad, besides Midoriya and Todoroki, look for it as well but can’t seem to find it.
“My notebook? What are you talking about, Todoroki? I haven’t had my notebook with me this entire time.” Midoriya says with a confused look. Todoroki blinks a couple of times, trying to remember if he had seen the notebook or not. Looking back, the poor boy can’t remember if Midoriya had his notebook or not. The rest of the Deku squad, barring Midoriya, can’t remember either. “Are you ok, Todoroki? Maybe you should go see Recovery Girl if you're seeing things?” Midoriya says with a worried face. “No, no. I- I think I was just confused by what Bakugou said.” Todoroki replies, not wanting to make his friend more worried.
The rest of the Deku squad just shrugs their shoulders before moving on. Moving on to the next thing that the Deku squad is doing, none of the others notice Midoriya pull his bag from his hair as he follows after them. After that confrontation, Bakugou tries to catch video evidence, but every time he tries, something goes wrong. Students would pass in front of his shot, or the phone he was trying to record with would get buggy. After Bakugou brought it to his attention, Todoroki also started to pay attention to what Midoriya was doing.
