This is basically an AU of my longfic "Hold Me Like Water, Or Hold Me Like A Knife" where instead of choosing Treviso, Rook chooses her home instead. Lucanis cuts off their relationship, and they both move on, but Complicated Feelings aren't easy to run from, and Rook, Neve, and Lucanis have bucketloads of those. To be completely honest, I wrote this solely for the angst.
