Work Text:
It was the night and the moon was shining down onto the silken white sheets of Hughie and Annie's bed, Hughie behind her was fast asleep while Annie was wide awake. She didn't know why she was awake it was during times like this when her mind would run with various things, maybe that was why she was awake? Then he appeared in her mind, no she couldn't start thinking this way about him she was supposed to hate him. Annie didn't understand at all why she was starting to get all fidgety and embarrassed around Butcher, he was a big bully and yet..... no she couldn't start this again. It had started when Maeve had told her they slept together and she felt her stomach twist into knots but then there was that time... oh who was she kidding it had been happening even before that.
Annie shouldn't be thinking this way she was in a loving relationship and yet she couldn't help her mind drifting towards that big brute idiot, with his black hair and hazel eyes that always seem to glare at her. She hated the way he got underneath her skin and stayed there, she wasn't supposed to be feeling this way and yet she was. She had tried many things to get him out of her head and nothing seemed to work, Annie pulled herself out of the bed the silken white sheets falling down. She was clad in a soft pair of pink pjs she decided to go into the kitchen to get a drink of water she had to get a grip before the thoughts of him got worse.
Annie really hoped none had caught onto this, whenever she thought of Billy with Maeve she felt her stomach twist but why was she feeling this way if she knew whole heartedly that she loved Hughie. She ran a hand through her blonde hair, Billy was the exact opposite to Hughie. Where Billy was rough Hughie was soft and childish sometimes he reminded her of a man child which made a soft smile come onto her soft pink lips. Yet deep down she knew that she craved Billy's rough calloused hard hands over Hughie's soft ones she felt her body heating up when she imagined Butcher doing the things to her that Maeve described.
She felt that familiar stab of jealousy, the two girls were at lunch when Maeve told Annie that she and Butcher had done it. Annie almost spit out her drink when Maeve had uttered those words to her, and she felt the jealousy rising in her. Maeve told her all the nitty gritty details of there sexual encounter and Annie just tried to nod and listen, she hoped Maeve didn't notice the way her jaw clenched or how her right hand clenched into a fist a little underneath the wooden table. Annie sipped on her water as she felt the memory rush over her, she was supposed to hate him and yet here she was fawning over him. Once or twice she had caught herself staring a little too long at him wondering how his large rough hands would feel around her waist or how they would feel..... she felt her face heating up.
She rushed outside out onto the balcony hoping the cold night air would pull her out of this funk, she wondered if Butcher felt anything towards her. She knew that he probably hated her knowing what she was a supe, but he'd slept with Maeve so why couldn't he sleep with her? She was shocked that she'd actually thought that when she was a taken woman, but she'd be lying if she said that she didn't want to be roughly taken by Butcher. Annie felt the weight slowly lifting off her shoulders once she'd admitted it, but why was she falling for Butcher when she was in a perfectly loving relationship with Hughie?
She should be happy and yet here she was falling for another man one who was the complete opposite to Hughie. Even though she felt herself falling for Butcher she knew that he would probably not want to be with her at all anyway, he was disgusted by her he mocked and ridiculed her, she was sure that was not him flirting with her. She looked up at the stars she wished that she wasn't in this predicament why couldn't life just be simple.
Annie stared down at the cars racing by wishing she was in one driving away from this mess going on in her head right now, maybe she should go back to bed what if Hughie woke up and wondered where she was. She hoped on her lucky stars that these feelings go away before they get any worse and someone start's to notice. She went back inside slowly closing the glass sliding door and locking it hearing the faint click, then she placed her empty glass in the sink. Slowly walking back into the bedroom Hughie was still in bed fast asleep she slowly slipped into the silken white sheets she stared at the back of his head for a bit until she started to imagine that Hughie's hair was black instead of brown.
She shoved her face into her pillow what was she doing, she closed her eyes hoping that sleep would come to save her from her misery. Her brown eyes were growing sleepy finally she would be able to sleep but even in sleep it seemed that she couldn't avoid her reality as she ended up dreaming of a certain black haired brute. Better luck next time.
