Muyou Kansaku was not cut out to be a god. Especially a big one. This was a very large "promotion" for Muyou, who was a regular mortal just a moment ago. They were given no preparation. Now they had to take on the role of the "God of Greater Good". Apparently the previous GoGG had been vanquished by Ebi, the God of Malice. Muyou was horrified. So utterly horrified, by this overpowered deity. Muyou didn't want to "die". How do gods even die? How was Ebi able to erase the previous GoGG from existence? Muyou worried about this for hours. Why them? Why did they, some random cat thing living a very grey life, get chosen to be the NEXT GOD OF GREATER GOOD??!! Muyou did not want to be a god. But they had no choice.
No choice at all.
Muyou lay awake on their bed. They couldn't sleep anymore;their mind was swirling with so many thoughts.
What's the point anymore?
Is there a meaning, a purpose for all this?
My life?
Muyou closed their eyes and sighed. In the cold room, they suddenly felt a warm glow. Opening their eyes, Muyou was met with an angel. They had no idea what an angel looked like and thought it was some sort of creature that came to infect their apartment again. Muyou scrambled to grab a pillow to swat it with. Of course, the pillow would only go through the angel, who simply smiled.
"Now, now... don't waste all your energy on that,"
Muyou shrieked. "IT TALKS!!!!!"
"Of course I talk," the angel was mildly offended by Muyou's behaviour, "I'm an angel!"
"So that's what angels look like? Huh," Muyou put down the pillow then came to a realization, "AM I DEAD???"
"No... not really,"
"WHAT THE HECK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN??!!" Muyou screamed again.
"Well, you got promoted to the god status," the angel explained.
Muyou just sat there, trying to register what they just heard.
"Come on now, take my hand so you can get ready for your first day," the angel held out their hand.
Muyou stared at the hand blankly but did not move. They didn't feel like moving.
"Well, if you aren't going to move, I guess I'm gonna have to drag you up there," the angel grabbed Muyou's hand and up they went.
