    Childe is visiting home when his enemy Kaeya follows him, injured from gods-know-what. They stay in a hotel together, having nothing better to do and nothing else they can handle except the fractured comfort of a man who would kill them if he had to.
    Oh, and Diluc's coming. Not in the fun way.

    Kaeya sees the look in Childe’s eyes, the one that says he’s a weakness now, a liability.

    Slowly, he turns back onto his stomach, and Childe knows why, nodding slowly.

    “I won’t kill you,” Childe murmurs.

    “Then I won’t say his name,” Kaeya fires back, shrugging, as if it doesn’t hurt that every lover he’s ever had has thought of getting rid of him before having him.
