Chapter Text
Sprout showed Cosmo the way to his room, despite their long relationship as friends, this was Cosmo’s first time seeing Sprout’s room.
“Here it is. I know it’s a little messy, I don’t prioritize things like that,” Sprout said, opening the door.
“Heh, it's not that different from mine actually,” Cosmo chuckled.
Sprout closed the door behind the two of them, signaling Cosmo over to the bed.
Cosmo’s face flared to a deep shade of red, reluctantly, he walked over to Sprout.
Cosmo sits next to Sprout as he puts his hand on Cosmo’s thigh, causing Cosmo to gasp and turn their head.
“Cosmo, I just wanted to let you know, we don’t have to take this slow,” Sprout whispered into Cosmo’s ear. “We’ve known each other for multiple years, but my personal preference is that we don't get into that yet.”
“Sprout, I don’t think I’m ready for this. I want to take this slow, can you understand that?” Cosmo sternly mentioned.
“...I guess we could, if it makes you feel any better,” Sprout disappointingly said. “But what's the point of doing it if we’ve already gotten to know each other!”
“Sprout!” Cosmo exclaimed. “We know each other. But you aren’t understanding my point! We need to take the romance slow, I don’t care if you’re impatient. It’s not all sex, you know? We need to set a healthy base before taking the next step.”
Cosmo turns around, shoving Sprout’s hand off his hip.
“Okay okay, fine,” Sprout sputtered.
The room faded into an awkward silence.
Cosmo got up off the bed, and walked over to the door.
Sprout gets up, trying to chase after Cosmo, but he turns around and opens his arms.
“I’m sorry, I just need some time,” Cosmo said emotionally, catching Sprout in his open arms. “I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.”
