I'm Helplessly And Hopelessly Smitten

Summary:

Kiss Challenge ft. My BF!!

By The_Ghost_King☑️

The video opened with Nico staring deadpan into the camera.

“Yeah, you read the title correctly. I do, in fact, have a boyfriend—contrary to what the naysayers might say.”

He rolled his eyes fondly, his expression hovering somewhere between exasperation and amusement.

“Not all of us are bitch-less,” he added, smirking before pausing dramatically. His eyes darted around the room in exaggerated suspicion, and then he leaned in, whispering, “Don't tell my boyfriend I called him a bitch.”

Nico couldn’t resist. He grinned mischievously and leaned in again, placing soft kisses all over Will’s face—each one leaving a fresh mark of lipstick. Will’s face was flushed with affection, his eyes sparkling with joy.

“Stop making me look like a walking lipstick ad,” Will chuckled, clearly enjoying the attention.

Or I gave Nico a YouTube channel and made him and Will do a lipstick challenge

He straightened up and clapped his hands together. “Anyway! Today, I’m doing the lipstick challenge.” He threw one hand up dramatically. “Which lipstick challenge, you ask? Simple—I’m going to try different lipstick shades, then kiss my boyfriend to see which one looks best on him.”

Nico grinned, eyes glinting with mischief.

“Now, you might be wondering, where is the boyfriend in question?

The video abruptly cut to a shaky shot of the ground as Nico walked, the crunch of gravel beneath his boots filling the mic. The wind rustled softly, carrying distant chatter.

“Well, let’s go find out.”

He walked for a few more seconds before stopping. The camera was still angled down when a pair of shoes entered the frame.

“Hey, Mika, before you say anything—I’m recording.”

A faint “Oh” crackled through the mic, followed by, “Well hey, Nico. You need something?”

“I was wondering if you knew where Will was? I would’ve checked the infirmary, but he’s not on duty today.”

“He’s in the arts and crafts area.”

“Thank you,” Nico said before walking off, leaving Mika behind without another word.

Q&A Intermission

The video cut again. This time, Nico’s voice came through as text faded from the screen.

“You might be asking, ‘Nico, why didn’t you just start the video with your boyfriend already in it?’

The camera jostled slightly as Nico sighed dramatically.

“Well, I thought now would be a good time to answer some burning questions I get a lot.”

The first question popped up:

‘What camp do you go to?’

“That’s actually a pretty personal question,” Nico said flatly. “I don’t really get why people are so interested in my location? Like, I’m not into doxxing myself, thanks.”

Another question appeared:

‘Why do you always point your camera down when you're walking?’

Nico huffed. “I genuinely don’t know why people are so comfortable recording other people’s faces. It’s weird. I know I’d hate it if someone recorded me without my consent, so I just keep my camera pointed down out of respect.”

Next question:

‘Why do you have a personal room at your camp?’

Nico sighed again, this time with more dramatic flair.

“Ah, this one. So, without getting into too much detail for privacy reasons—basically, it's because of the way the camp is structured, and nepotism. It also helps that my sister doesn’t go to the same camp as me.”

He shrugged. “Not complaining, though.”

The last question popped up:

‘I’m really curious about your mysterious camp! Can we at least get a sneak peek?’

The video cut to a new scene, the camera tilting up slightly.

“Once again, I can’t show too much for personal reasons,” Nico said as the view finally shifted, “but I was given permission to show you our strawberry farm.”

The scene that appeared looked like something out of a painting. Rolling fields stretched toward the horizon, rows of strawberry plants neatly arranged in long, leafy lines. Bright red berries peeked out beneath the green foliage, glistening under the afternoon sun. A soft breeze rustled the plants, making the leaves ripple like waves. The sky overhead was a perfect, endless blue, with wisps of white clouds stretching lazily across it.

“Obviously, no one’s tending it right now, but usually, it’s packed with campers,” Nico explained, his voice more casual as the camera lingered on the view. A bird chirped somewhere nearby, the peaceful atmosphere settling over the scene.

The video cut again—this time indoors.

The camera was steady now, held at chest level as Nico walked into a small gazebo-like building with glass walls. Sunlight poured through, casting soft golden patterns across the wooden floor. The space was cluttered with art—paintings in every stage of completion lined the walls, bright splashes of color covering tables, along with scattered brushes, palettes, and half-finished projects.

“Will! Are you in here?” Nico called.

There was a brief moment of silence before—

“Yeah, babe, I’m here!” a voice answered from somewhere inside.

Nico turned the camera, following the sound. The frame shifted to reveal Will, seated at a paint-streaked table, his sunshine-blond hair even messier than usual. He wore his typical khaki pants, and he had an orange shirt on but Nico had blurred the logo on it. His pants were speckled with splotches of paint, and in his hands, he was carefully working on what looked like a small clay sculpture.

Nico zoomed in. “What are you making?”

Will glanced up at the camera before looking back at his project, shifting uncomfortably. “It’s supposed to be a flower…”

The camera stayed locked onto the sculpture. There was a pause.

Nico snorted. “Honey, that looks more like a—” he zoomed in even closer, angling the shot dramatically “—soggy potato than a flower.”

Will gasped in mock offense, clutching the clay statue to his chest. “You’re so mean,” he huffed, pouting as he crossed his arms—immediately smearing even more paint onto himself. “Here I am, working my butt off to make something nice for you, and you’re laughing at me.”

The camera shook slightly as Nico giggled, setting it down on the table to stabilize it. A moment later, he stepped into the frame, walking right up to Will. He cupped Will’s face in both hands, tilting his chin up slightly so their faces were just inches apart.

“While I do appreciate the gift, tesoro,” Nico murmured, his voice dripping with playful affection, “you did promise me you’d record a video with me today.”

Now it was Nico’s turn to pout, lower lip jutting out slightly as he stared at Will expectantly. The camera, still rolling, caught every second of their little standoff.

The video cut again, and this time, they were back in Nico’s room. The lighting had shifted to a dimmer, warmer hue, creating a cozy atmosphere that made the space feel even more intimate. Will had changed outfits, and was now wearing a simple blue shirt and a new pair of khaki shorts that looked like it had just been thrown on in a rush.

They were seated on the lounge area of Nico’s room, a low table in front of them completely covered with lipsticks—an absurd number, to be honest. Tubes in every shade imaginable were scattered across the surface: reds, purples, neon pinks, some even with bold, questionable names. It was a makeup lover’s dream… or nightmare, depending on who you asked.

Will picked up a lipstick at random, turning it over in his fingers as he read the label. “...Where did you even get this many?”

“I told Drew I was going to do the lipstick challenge, and she immediately dragged me shopping to pick out shades she thought would look nice on me,” Nico replied nonchalantly, clearly unfazed by the sheer amount of lipsticks that were now occupying the entire table.

Will slowly set the lipstick down, his brow furrowing. “Nico. How much did you guys buy? Because it looks like there are at least twenty on this table.”

Nico shrugged casually. “We may have gone a little overboard.”

“A little?” Will raised an eyebrow, gesturing to the overwhelming mess of makeup like it was a crime scene. “Nico, do you know how expensive makeup can be??”

Nico waved a hand dismissively. “It was just 455 dollars.”

Will’s mouth dropped open, and he gasped audibly—dramatically. His eyes were wide with a mix of concern and disbelief. He opened his mouth, no doubt about to launch into a full-on lecture, but before he could get a word out, the video cut.

Now, Nico was grinning at the camera, as if nothing had happened.

“Well! Let’s get started!” Nico cheered, clearly ready to move on.

He picked up a lipstick randomly and read the name off the label. “Ruby Enchantment,” he said with a small tilt of his head. “This one was on the more expensive side—”

Will’s eye twitched.

Nico acted as if he hadn’t noticed. “—and it’s supposed to make your lips pop, or at least that’s what Drew told me.” He twisted the tube open, revealing a bold, vibrant red. Holding up a small mirror beside him, he applied the lipstick with ease. When he pulled back, the color stood out beautifully against his warmer complexion, bright and striking under the soft, dim lighting.

Nico turned to Will, eyes glinting with mischief. “Alright, come here, big boy.”

Before Will could react, Nico leaned in and planted a dramatic kiss on Will’s cheek, making an exaggerated kissing noise just for extra flair.

Will rolled his eyes but didn’t try to hide his fond smile as he leaned into the kiss. “You’re ridiculous.”

Nico giggled, still smiling, before leaning in to kiss Will’s cheek again—this time softer, gentler. When he pulled away, a faint red mark remained, and Will’s face was slightly flushed, even more so than before.

“Do you like the color?” Nico teased, voice laced with mischief.

Will cleared his throat, clearly a little flustered. “It… It looks good on you.” His voice was steady, but the faint blush on his cheeks gave him away.

Nico hummed in acknowledgment, clearly pleased with the compliment. He smiled softly before grabbing a makeup wipe to remove the lipstick. A bit of it stubbornly clung to his lips, and he huffed, rubbing a little harder to get it all off.

“You pick this time,” Nico said as he wiped his lips.

Will nodded, scanning the sea of lipstick tubes before grabbing one at random. He turned it over in his hands and read the label. “Midnight Rose.”

The shade was a deep, sultry red with cool undertones—like crushed cherries in the dark. It had a glossy finish that caught the light, making it look richer, more intense than the last one. Nico twisted the tube open, and the lipstick gleamed under the soft lighting.

Nico applied it carefully, then smacked his lips together, testing the texture. The glossiness made his lips appear fuller and softer, a more seductive look compared to the matte red he’d just tried.

“This one’s more gloss than lipstick,” Nico mused, still examining his reflection. The light reflected off his lips in a soft, ethereal glow, and he couldn’t help but feel a little pleased with how it looked. Satisfied, he turned back to Will.

Beneath the warm lighting, Nico’s expression shifted to something playful. He batted his eyelashes dramatically, leaning forward just a bit. “Which one do you like more, amore?”

Will raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying the playful back-and-forth. “I can’t rate it yet without knowing how it feels,” he teased, his lips curling into a mischievous grin.

Nico smirked and leaned in, pressing a quick, soft kiss to Will’s cheek. “How about now?” he asked, voice low and playful, as he pulled back just enough to gauge Will’s reaction.

Will chuckled, his cheeks flushing even more. “Well, now that you’ve got me a little distracted… I’d say it looks pretty good,” he replied, mischief dancing in his eyes.

They continued with the challenge, trying ten more lipsticks, laughing and joking the entire time. By the end, Will’s face was covered with a colorful mosaic of kiss marks—reds, pinks, and lighter shades that gave his cheeks a soft, adorably flustered look.

“So, which one did you like best?” Nico asked, wiping the last traces of lipstick from his lips as he glanced at Will, who was admiring the patchwork of marks on his face.

Will grinned and proudly showed off his lipstick-covered face to the camera. “Honestly, probably the first one,” he said, his tone light but sincere.

“Yeah?” Nico asked, a fond smile tugging at his lips as he reached for the first lipstick again, trying to reapply it when Will wasn’t paying attention.

“Mhm,” Will confirmed, voice soft but genuine. “It just… looks really good on you. Like, it complements your whole vibe—kinda like how you always make everything look better.” Will blushed slightly, looking away for a moment before glancing back at Nico. “You always look amazing, Nico.”

Nico’s face flushed slightly at the compliment. He was still working on reapplying the lipstick when he noticed Will looking at him with such affection—eyes soft, lips parted slightly as if waiting for Nico to say something in response.

“You’re so sappy,” Nico muttered with a soft smile, though his voice was gentle. He reached out and tugged Will closer by his collar, locking eyes with him.

Will’s eyes immediately dropped to Nico’s lips, and you could feel the tension building in the space between them. Will’s breath hitched slightly. “Why don’t you shut me up then?” he asked, voice low and breathless.

Nico smirked at the challenge, leaning in with no hesitation. “Gladly.”

Without another word, Nico closed the distance between them, kissing Will deeply, the world around them fading away as they both melted into the moment.

Eventually, Nico pulled away, breathless and a little dazed. He blinked, looking down to realize he was now sitting in Will’s lap.

Nico only smirked, pressing one last kiss to Will’s nose, then settled back into his lap. “Wouldn’t have it any other way,” he said, his voice soft with contentment.

The video cut for the final time, and Will, still covered in a colorful array of kiss marks, sat beside Nico, looking amused but clearly a little overwhelmed by the whole ordeal. Nico, on the other hand, looked positively smug, as though he had won some sort of victory.

“Well, it’s been fun, everyone, but that’s all for today’s video,” Nico said with a grin, winking at the camera.

Will, still trying to wipe away a few stray lipstick marks on his face, turned to Nico with a raised eyebrow. “What are you even going to do with all the lipstick you didn’t use?”

“Probably give it to girls,” Nico shrugged nonchalantly, his smirk never fading.

Will chuckled and shook his head as the outro music slowly began to fade in. Nico turned to the camera, throwing up a quick wave.

“Well, bye guys,” he said, his voice light, playful, and full of that familiar energy.

They both waved to the camera one last time, their smiles wide and carefree.

The video ended, and the outro music played as the screen went black, leaving behind the echo of their laughter and the unmistakable warmth between them.
