Summary
Buck thought going back to the 118 would be hard, but he knew that his team, his family, would move on from the lawsuit. Only Bobby placed him on B-Shift where his team and new Captain have made it their mission to make Buck's life a living hell. When it becomes too much and Buck starts thinking about ending it all, he receives a life-changing phone call from Captain Owen Strand who would like Buck to come join them down in Austin at the 126. Buck immediately jumped at the opportunity to get away from everything. Only his mental health problems didn't go away with the move and Buck struggles with what happened and how to start a whole new life. The 126 are not about to let him go through this alone and together they show Buck that he has a family with them and they would never turn their backs on him.

Eddie bites the inside of his cheek and looks away. He can’t tell Buck that the reason he thinks they might be right is that the mere mention of a relationship between them caused a panic attack in the middle of a shift or that he couldn’t stop thinking about that guy’s arm on Buck’s back and him going back into the bar without them or that the hickey under his collarbone is burning a hole in Eddie’s gut. “I don’t know, it just made me think about Shannon. You know, I really loved Shannon. I just don’t think I ever really loved Ana,” there’s a pause and it seems like Buck might say something so he continues before he can, “or Marisol. I don’t think I know what that’s supposed to be like.” He sniffs and wipes his nose, “Buck I need you to say something, I’m freaking out here.”
