  • theyre voice actors
    • their "toons" are based off of them
      • ie. astro has birthmarks on his waist dip, so his toon has extra arms
      • ie. shelly has curly hair, so her toon has a spiraled shell
    • they got adopted by arthur after delilah said they should have the characters based off of real people
      • her mind was going towards the nickalodeon (i cant spell) way of doing shows, kids would show up to see the voice actors do the voices and maybe do real-life shows
      • also i based this off of that movie from the 90's i forgor the name
      • they live on set
        • cz theyre like adopted by the owners
• arthur gained the trust of the kids really quickly
  • delilah though he did this so each episode theyve made is based off of a real-life story of the characters
    • they have had relationships and do ahve crushes
      • astro x shelly (unrequited.... for now)
      • astro x dandy (in the past dandy can go fuck himself)
        • dandy still likes astros
      • unless they came to the show at the same time/same orphanage, they dont think of themselves as siblings
        • so goob and scraps came at the same time/from the same orphanage
    • so in the early episodes dandy and astro were besties/boyfriends, but in the later episodes they didnt like eachother as much
  • but arthur js really thought of the kids as his own kin
• this fic takes place in 2006
  • i wasnt born in 2006 yet so pls correct me if i get stuff wrong ;-;
• the lower floors are infested with mustard gas
  • it gets worse the lower you go
    • explanation: dandy was exploring without anybody knowing where he was, broke a pipe on floor 50 or so and it combined with a different chemical making a poisonous gas (mustard gas?? idk) and since delilah favourited dandy, she forgave him but a few days later she and arthur misteriously "dissapeared" and everybody thought they took dandy with them, but he was hiding in the elevator and found some hole and started to get an idea of what to do in his spare time (aka, he made his shop)
      
      • and js because astro dated dandy 5 years prior (when they were 11, he was born 1990) they think astro is on dandys side, but it does help to get discounts on his shop.
      • also the mains have lower hearts (or bad health in my au) because they were doing an episode on the lower floors.

i'll add more as the story progresses!

also heres astros design (im working on fine-tuning shelly cz this is the first time drawing curly (3a-3c) hair for me!)
