Summary
You are a researcher who came out to Gravity Falls to work with the great Stanford Pines. You had been friends in college, and he said he needed your help with something. He said he needed help immediately, but due to personal life stuff, you haven't been able to go to Oregon until late fall, bordering on winter. As you get off of the bus, the brisk autumn air fills your lungs, clearing away the smell of sweat and exhaust. You tried to call Stanford before you left, to let him know you were coming, but he never picked up. This worried you, which spurred you to get there as soon as you could. You walk into town, hoping to find someone to point you in the right direction. A young waitress at a local diner tells you about the “scientist in the woods” and how no one has seen him in a few weeks. This worried you further. She gives you directions and you’re on your way.
