Huddled in several layers of clothing, including some nice duffel coats, they strolled through the frozen desert. The crunch of their footsteps was occasionally broken by the sounds of a harmless flying creature. The TARDIS was still in view.
Ian blew into his hands to warm them, stuffed them back into the coat's pockets. Barbara guessed he regretted not bringing gloves.
"Should've brought those gloves."
There it was.
The quiet walk was a pleasant change of pace after... everything.
"Come along, Agapornis," said the Doctor, in the distance.
"Is that for us?" Barbara smiled.
Ian shrugged, and he smiled back.
